Thread: self service beverages

I don't think I've ever seen a water fountain in Vegas.

And I wrote an article about this on my website: at Caesars Palace there is no place to sit that isn't at a machine, table game, or at a bar or restaurant... EXCEPT by the elevators. There are NO seats in the lobby.

The sportsbook is a good place to kick back and not be hassled. At least it used to be. I spent 4 nights at Caesars in 2007 playing poker. Pete Rose was in the book every night. The poker room was between the sportsbook and Pure Nightclub. I came out of the poker room every night to check out the girls lined up to get into the nightclub. Them chicks stood in line for a hell of a long time to get in....and some never got in. And I watched them pour out of the joint in the early morning hours all drunked up and staggering away.

I will never forget when a big convention "checked in" to Caesars Palace. There must have been a thousand guests. Because there were no chairs in the lobby hundreds STOOD in the lobby area talking.

Look at the article I wrote July 28, 2016 here: http://alanbestbuys.com/id240.html

I have a photo of how Caesars made it difficult to even sit along the edge of its big fountain in the lobby. These "spikes" were added about a year ago.

Alan, just received my monthly invitation to Pala's 'High Limit Giveaway'.
I'm trying to attach a picture of it, in which it states 'Open Bar'.Name: KINDLE_CAMERA_1504476973000.jpg

Is there gaming in the High Limit Lounge? That could be the loophole.

I seem to recall that the M casino had a self serve beverage station for awhile, but got rid of it.
    What, Me Worry?

They have a fountain drink station at their deli which could be mistaken for a self serve station for the casino. It's over kinda near the sportsbook. Is that what you mean?

No, I seem to recall there was a stand alone self serve soft drink station somewhere on the casino floor.

    Maybe I was dreaming it?

Only casino with a drink station that I've been to in Southern California is Valley View casino in San Diego.

Their soda machine has Coke Zero, for which I am hopelessly addicted to.

Forgetting about the tipping situation, it's just nice for me to get that drink whenever the hell I wanted to. I don't mind walking.

I've never been to a casino in California where you had to pay for a non-alcoholic drink besides canned energy drinks like red bull.
