Mickey why did you not hold the ace along with the four 2's?

Edit: oh nevermind. My stupidity. It wasn't an ace on the original draw.

    But you missed an opportunity.
Hint first picture of this page.
You must be talking about Harrington. What did I miss?

First gas I've seen under $4 in quite awhile:

Great picture Mickey, definitely a road I want to travel one day. We did part of the Going to the Sun road in Glacier a few years ago but it wasn’t totally open in June. The amount of the snow they get is amazing. I’m sure this one is similar.

The Beartooth Highway opened way late this year, July 29, because that perfect storm over Yellowstone in June caused flooding northwest of the Park. The Yellowstone River and tributaries flooded. That pic was taken in early July. But I only made it about another 6 miles to where the road was blocked. I knew I couldn't get to Cooke City but I thought I would be able to go further on the road than I did. I had to turn around.

So when they announced the Beartooth was opening on July 29 I was southeast of the park. I went up thru Cody, Wyoming and took the Chief Joseph Highway to Cooke City. I passed the turnoff to the Beartooth on the way. From Cooke City I doubled back to the Beartooth and ran it all the way to Red Lodge, Montana.

On the north end of the road close to Red Lodge the creek there, Rock Creek, had flooded out half dozen places in the road as I could see the repair work. And Red Lodge had some flooding too.

I have film I'll be putting up but pics don't do it justice.

Charles Kuralt was right. The Beartooth is the most scenic drive in America. Everyone should put the Chief Joseph Highway and the Beartooth Highway on their bucket list.

Mickey, as a road runner you must put a lot of miles on your vehicle as you travel the country.

High miles plus increased cost of gas equals less profit?
    What, Me Worry?

I've been doing about 50K miles a year for the past five years. My fuel bill used to average about 4% of my machine earn. It's currently running about 6%.

Looks like that Chief Joseph Highway is in the vicinity of the Dutton Ranch's train station, the last thing on a few folks' bucket list.
