Aside from the link not opening, I vote No. While you were not here a few tears ago, arci regularly said I was this or that poster whenever the writer showed even the slightest agreement with me. Of course, there was never any proof of that either. In fact, the only things that fool did prove is that he could humiliate himself with his own tax returns, and how it was true that he helped destroy his wife's life by dragging her from casino to casino in the name of "AP advantage days" when she should have stayed home resting.

I actually have something to contribute, but I can't take credit for it. One of the silent majority on this forum sent me some quotes from Jerry Logan on other sites about five years ago, and then compared those quotes to something Rob said here recently, and the use of very, very idiosyncratic language kind of tips it off that it's likely the same person.

I'll dig up the exact quotes in a couple of hours and post them for comparisons sake.

Thanks to jbjb for the link. The initial poster makes a very clear and cogent case for most of JL's posts, whether he was a real person or not, being made by Rob Singer/Argentino. Whether Jerry Logan exists or not, it's pretty clear Rob was making the posts. Hard to believe the vote was 30-1 or whatever. It's difficult to get that kind of consensus on whether Hitler was a bad man. And hell, Rob may have been the 1.

From Jerry Logan (2010 on WOV):

"Most Indians pass through life in a drunken stupor anyway. But the states won't prosecute them if they get caught driving drunk or someone who was playing at a tribal clip joint kills 3 people on their way home from guzzling firewater."

From Rob on the Road Pics thread:

"And they aren't subsidized by the poor locals and truckers and firewater-guzzling injuns who moved in from Gallop only."

People (especially "injuns," one would think) tend to remember those colorful lines like "guzzling firewater." Personally, I'm hard pressed to remember a third author in my life who used that phrase, so maybe it was just my good luck to live at the same time as Rob and Jerry Logan.

Watch out Rob, that's how they got the unabomber.

I just want to post what the Wizard said in this thread on his website:

What I think a skeptic would say is maybe JL is such a fan and good friend of RS that he has picked up his key arguments, words, and mannerisms. If you're around someone long enough that will tend to happen, especially if you try. What comes to mind is the episode of Seinfeld where George became so enamored of Elaine's rock-climbing boyfriend that George tried to mimic him in every way he could imagine.

As I've said before, a technical look into this issue was inconclusive. As I recall, when I met Singer I tried to bring up sports betting, but he didn't seem very interested in the topic. Jerry, on the other hand, has posted quite a bit on his NFL picks. Speaking for myself only, I still have a reasonable doubt.

Of course, to be fair and not a Singer apologist, one would have to date what the Wizard said and then check what has been matched up Logan-to-Singer since then.

For example, the "guzzling firewater" was not something the Wizard would have read. It occurred recently. Methinks that may have pushed The Wiz off the fence, so to speak, eh, Alan?

And Alan, inquiring minds want to know, what exactly do you think? Is Jerry Logan "enamored" with Rob Singer? I mean, Rob seems enamored enough with himself, but I don't recall anyone else ever posting anywhere who is enamored with Rob...except Rob.

Of course, if you feel this is a case of ersatz love....

P.S. I'm a little slow on this, since I never posted on that site. But someone informed me that if Shackleford were interested in selling the site, or even promoting it, the last thing he would want to publicly promulgate was that the site was riddled with sock puppets. I know nothing about how commercial sites work, so that did not occur to me.

There are 2 here at this very site- Alan Bojangles and Coach Betty

redietz I don't think the Wizard cared one bit about sock puppets and I don't think that impacted the commercial value of his site. Frankly, the WOV site has no value, it was the Wizard of Odds site that had all the value and all the traffic. THIS FORUM gets more traffic than the WOV site.

But when I was a member, there was a strict rule about not having multiple identities.

As the Wizard said there was no evidence that Logan and Rob were the same user.

Frankly I wasn't around to read any posts from this Logan guy.

We have our share of sockpuppets here, don't we? And we have had people post here using multiple screen names... and I am afraid we still do.

If anyone could have proven anything wizard was the one. The reason redietz wants and NEEDS Logan to be me is only because I've embarrassed him for his foolishness & cornball writing so often. And just how stupid is his Sherloking my recent and Jerry's old posts? I'm so far into red's head I've surpassed even MY expectations.

jbjb & RS__ would absolutely love Logan to be me because I expose their continual anonymous baloney about ap'ing, and they all feel even if they can gain this tiny measure of revenge against a superior gambler such as myself, at least they get SOMETHING out of it all.

Kew of course wants Logan to be me because he's hoping it may confuse me enuf to make a wrong choice. It's a crazy world.

Who here is in favor of me contacting Jerry to see if he'd like to join the forum?

I would be honored to meet the man who is enamored with Rob Singer. Maybe we could make "firewater guzzling" a permanent topic here at VCT.

There's only one person enamored with Rob Singer. And that's ROB SINGER!

He comes up with these phony personas to try and promote his WORTHLESS system. Nobody in their right mind is buying it. Why he continues to try is beyond me, but he's wasting his time doing so.

jbjb it's going to surprise you that there are a lot of players who actually follow Rob and believe as he does that the machines are not random, and that certain cards are more likely to come up, and that special plays are indeed the way to go.

I don't agree with any of it, Rob knows that, and I've posted it from the start on my website when I did the interviews with Rob.

Sure these people are misinformed but don't try to tell them that.

But Rob also has value in his strategy about win goals and loss limits, and about using comps and players clubs, etc. He's not totally crazy. But he does say the wrong stuff too many times. Got that Rob?

A big fallacy that's often seen coming from ap critics is that I'm "constantly promoting" my method. It's typical of those who know nothing about it. They say these things out of irritation I guess. And jbjb is so beside himself over me that he claims I'm even "promoting it" today.

While I do still train and advise players, I didn't even "promote" my method in my books. The reason? Because I know full well that it takes a very intelligent, motivated, disciplined vp player to be able to win consistently playing my strategy, and other than myself I've found only two others who were capable of doing it. One is jbjb's friend Jerry Logan, which is obviously why jbjb needs him to be me. The other is a businessman who lives in the area across from the South Point, who contacts me from time to time letting me know how often he buys a new car with his winnings. Turns out, the vast majority of people who play vp and yearn to know how to win are the mickeycrimm type who also happen to be your typical vp player type--white trash dummies & slugs who smoke, eat, and drink too much. Hardly people with the aptitude to become successful players.

While red flails in his attempts to discredit me, it would have been fantastic had jbjb been around while I wrote my column in GT for 8 years. I can just imagine him twisting and turning in his seat as he loved to hate to love reading the articles, giving his hemorrhoids a good workout as he got more agitated by the second, then picked up the phone to complain to my editor & publisher. Those were the days.....

Rob, I don't try to discredit you. There's nothing to discredit. You tell a story. There's no math. There's no clients with names who will go to bat for you. There's no industry people who'll publicly write reference letters for Rob Singer regarding his "methods." You couldn't even delineate your methods in your books. It's a story. Nobody can debunk a fairy tale.

The guy who can't even tell you at what payoff point his "methods" fail. People may have bought that stuff circa 1995. It's not happening now.

The sad thing is, you're gonna die, man. You're near the end of the line, and there is no written account of your "method." Don't you think it's a damned shame such a genius invention will die with you? Better get to work on that memoir.

And redietz continually wonders why he gets laughed at for his "corn" which he thinks makes him appear to be a "good writer". In this instance, his envy of me oozes as he tries so hard to make himself feel better over my existence.

Is it necessary to keep using "man" when posting on a forum? (sorry, I had to say it--you overuse the word to that point of it being a sickness)

A dozen years ago, 2005, Rob got caught red-handed using a sockpuppet on FREEvpFREE, the free speech arm of vpFREE. And he did it to himself. LOLOLOL!!!!! Rob, posting as rsing1111, was going around and around with the AP's saying the same derogatory bullshit about them then that he says now. A mysterious poster name aceshii showed up on the site and vociferously defended Rob's video poker tactics in several posts. Rob was even carrying on a conversation with the sockpuppet. Everyone recognized aceshii was Rob's sockpuppet and called him out on it. Rob vehemently denied it.

So during the exchange of posts rsing1111 makes a post to someone that says he will be in Las Vegas on the coming Friday. Many more posts were made then someone asked rsing1111 when he would be in Las Vegas. Then aceshii posted "I told you I would be in Las Vegas friday." LOLOLOLOL!!!!!! Then Rob caught his mistake. Thirteen minutes after this post rsing1111 makes a post saying his FREEvpFREE account had somehow got deleted and he borrowed aceshii's account to make the post about being in Las Vegas. LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!! Rob had got his two personnas tangled up and mistakenly, accidentally or whatever, posted as Rob Singer under aceshii's username. LOLOLOLOL!!!!!! He tried to lie his way out of it but everyone rolled on the floor laughing at the clown.

aceshii quickly disappeared and to this day, 12 years later, has never been heard from again.

IT WAS FUNNY AS HELL!!!!! I'm still ROTFLMAO about it. It's in the FREEvpFREE archives and anyone can check it out.

"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ

I see Rob addressed each and every point. No clients with real names who will go to bat for him? Yep, he addressed that. No industry people who he can use as references for his gambling expertise? Yep, he addressed that, too.

Good job, Mr. Singer. I love you....man.
