Thread: proposed tax changes

My girlfriend got assigned a 2nd players card by accident, due to Caesars incompetence.

Unfortunately, not being familiar with AP tactics, she didn't realize this was a big advantage, and corrected their mistake.

The hindrance in doing so comes from the birthdate. Usually they look up your name and date of birth, and then see if you already have one in the system.

I suppose if your name is super common, and if you have changed your ID to a different address, you can claim that it's another person with your same name and birthdate, but for most of us that's not possible.

In regards to the original topic, that proposed tax change is devistating to both the players and the casino if it passes. The money used to play at the casinos should be tax deductable/write-off if the IRS wants to be able to tax gross winnings.
Just today, while checking out some newly installed machines, I noticed $5 9/6 DDB with quads and SF at 239 credits. With state tax taking 3.5% (non-refundable) it is more or less a wash.
