Thread: New Security Measures

  1. #1
Steve Wynn gave an interview this morning to Fox news discussing new security measures. One thing that Dan in particular is not going to like is a new concern for those "do not disturb" signs on doors for more than 24 hours.

I think after this you will have someone in your room at least once every 24 hours.

I wouldn't be surprised if "turn down" service gets reinstated as a security measure -- not to just deliver a chocolate on your pillow.

I bought this up on WOV soon after the shooting and wondered if this is where they were headding. It seemed like the next logical reaction. This will lead to more maid theft.

This is pretty stupid if they do this.

So.....now essentially our stuff is going to be searched when we're out of the room? First determine why the casino would do this -- to prevent this mass-shooting type of thing from happening again. Okay. Now what's someone going to do if they plan on doing this? They're going to put their guns in the closet, under the bed, in their luggage, etc. So now the maids are pretty much going to need to search through all your shit for this new rule to be effective.

If I find a maid going through my shit, there will be hell to pay.

I have no fear about a theft. About three years ago I had a date with me in Vegas for the weekend. She won several hundred dollars (I think seven hundred) and when we checked out she left her purse in the room.

We called during the drive home and security immediately went to the room and found the purse. The purse was sent by overnight express to my girlfriend. All of the money was there.
