Well thanks for the encouragement, but 3 days time is a bit optimistically unrealistic. In 3 days I might get out of ICU. Maybe, just maybe I can be home in time for the Eagles next win next Monday night. But I can't promise you when I will be online again, but it won't be 3 days and probably not 7, if I have the discomfort I experienced 6 years ago. Nothing personal, but rushing back here to ague with you (even less arguing) is not my top priority.
I will refrain from the wizecracks (I had a good zinger) and wish you good luck.

I do hope that you will feel better asap. And even if you don't have the energy to argue I do hope you will have a little bit of energy to let us know how you are doing.

Was away all week-end, just returned and obviously missed this thread.

While completely sympathetic and truly hope for top of the line results with Kewlj’s renewed health issues and future unfortunate procedures, I’m also critical and want to be honest with this thread.

Looking to have derogatory threads you started trying to make someone look bad removed, wondering why you participated in all the back and forth bickering you did, apologizing to anyone you offended, you even tried to justify outcomes with Mike S., Norm W., and apologized directly to Larry S.

Apparently, what you’ve printed is not how you really felt. If you can’t control your emotions and tilt on waste of time bullshit anonymous forums anytime you’re challenged, why should we take anything else you’ve said serious?

Yes, I’m also anonymous but always print exactly what I truly think and feel. Should I face the same challenges you’re being forced to deal with today, my post here before the procedure would sound something like this, “I’m still convinced alleged AP claims on forums unproven are full of shit. And, for the record this place will never cross my mind again after signing off and not until and if I ever sign back in. All the people who know we just don’t like each other because of our different views shared on an anonymous forum could go fuck yourselves.”

Hopefully, when everything is good again and you come back, should we expect a new born again Kewlj?

We know that kewlj has a heart.

We all do wish him the best.

Of course, we all wish him the best. That goes without saying and there was no need to repeat that as if I wish anything less.

He’s not an enemy shooting at me on the battlefield who ran out of ammo and I get to shove my bayonet into his eye.

I don’t care what Dan thinks or how much he respects you. I’ll always call a spade a spade.

Your just an idiot suggesting anything else trying to take my post out of context.

    Fucken fool.

My grandmother had a valve replaced when she was 64 and this was back in the seventies. She lived to be 92.
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ

My friends who've had open heart say they were amazed how fast the hospital kicks you out to go home, and that it's a rugged three/four weeks at home afterward --- and for God's sake, don't cough or sneeze. But they said after about six weeks, you're good to go.

I read that sometimes "porcine," i.e. coming from pigs, valves are used in this procedure.

My question: what would a Jew feel about a pig valve being inserted in his / her body?

    Taboo, or OK?
    What, Me Worry?

    Thanks.

    An interesting rationalization.

My kidney and pancreas came from a woman. You could argue I'm not all man.

Hope all ends up well and you be healthy, KJ. Go break some luck, have a leg, or whatever y'all youngsters are saying now a days.

Just a thought to KJ as he sits in ICU somewhere on the best drugs money can buy. Rest easy, my friend.

Kewl will be in hell for a couple weeks. But it will get better. One real important tip for him---don't take the pain meds because if you do you will never shit again!!!! No joke--doc will confirm.

This problem is prevalent they now barrage us with TV ads for products to combat "O.I.C.: opioid induced constipation."

My advice: drink lots of water, chomp on prunes, and take a fiber supplement such as Citrucel.

Yawn. Far worse things than this. Just keep active, stay out of casinos, and otherwise live right.

Alive and home early. Doctor says I am doing great. I don’t feel like I am doing great. I feel like I have been run over by a truck and have a sword through my chest front to back.

Doctor said I would be released Friday and a couple hours later asked if I was ready to go home. Not sure why? I am grateful to the fine medical professionals at Mountain View Hospital who cared for me, but also glad to be leaving them.

Thanks for all the well wishes. More to come later….

    Rest up.

My friends who've had open heart were amazed how quickly they were also booted from the hospital. They all had people to care for them at home, but they said if you're solo -- holy hell, it would be an impossible deal. I think in general it may be just as well to get out of there Thursday, as Friday is a zoo and none of the backups on duty Friday want to have the responsibility of saying, "Yeah, this open heart dude is ready to go home."

    Rest and rest and rest.

    God bless you kewlj.

I was sent home 48 hours after my kidney/pancreas transplant and the reason was simple and basic: less likely to get an infection OUT of the hospital. Hospitals are for sick people -- not those on the mend.

    Mend my friend.
