I'm not going to argue about this, but I've never seen it.
I only see VP machines including UX machines where the last hands played remain on the screen.
I didn't even think about that. It's probably not noticeable if you press MAX BET or DEAL to initiate the next hand, but in Mickey's photo, he needed to press the BET PER HAND button (to change from 10 to 5), and at that point the blanked cards were readily apparent.
But IMO I've also seen blanked cards when hunting for multipliers, without any money in the machine.
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ
Multipliers don't time out or disappear on UX's. I think this is just a misunderstanding by some of what is going on. When you hit a high pair on the line it will put up "next hand 2X" next to the line for the following hand. After the following hand is played it will still show "2X" until the next hand is played but you won't see "next hand" beside it. That means the multiplier was played off on the previous hand. It has to say "next hand 2X" not just "2X" or you won't get the multiplier.

This pic was taken on Hwy. 2, the high line, northernmost highway in the continental United States. It was 25 below when I was driving through. I drive that route all the time. You can bet your ass I had plenty of water and food in the car....and sleeping bags to stay warm in case of a breakdown.
Do you know what to do if your car gets arctic seizure and won't crank? You pull the tarp out of the trunk and throw it over the car. Then you grab the space heater out of the trunk, fire it up, and stick it under the car. In a half hour she'll fire right up.
Snow and ice don't scare me in Montana. The kind of place it does scare me is Dallas, Texas. The people down there buy tires that are bald to begin with....and they don't know how to drive on snow and ice. They will skid right through a stop sign and take you out.

Mick-I can only speak for northern Indiana/Illinois but they absolutely do time out. They didn't used to but they were changed. I have left a game to hit the john and when I return the bonus is gone with no other hands having been played. On the games I have played, the "live" 2x is to the upper left. After you play that hand, the 2x is to the lower left. So when you see it on the lower left it means that hand was played. If it is in upper left you can vulture it. But again, at least up here, you better do it quickly or it will time out. I have even seen it time out while I searched the various games on that one machine looking for the best hanger to vulture.
Driving in Texas in any kind of inclement weather is terrifying. The elevated highways in urban areas make any ice or snow situation even worse because the roads freeze faster, and no one knows how to drive in it. I've driven several hours through Midwestern and Northeast blizzards where even well maintained toll roads have little more than one set of somewhat carved out wheel ruts in the snow and had an easier time of it than trying to drive a couple miles from an office to a hotel in a Texas rainstorm.
I was not aware of it until a friend who plays several days a week alerted me to it. I also didn't believe him until I went with him and he showed me. Then I saw it for myself several times.
I haven't been to any locals for several months. If I do go I will try to get pictures.
Where is blackhole? hopefully he kicked.
It's amazing how fast these clowns respond once their name is brought up....usually within minutes...sometimes seconds....not that much of a surprise tho
