Final thoughts (again)

First, I want to share a short update on my medical condition because I know and appreciate that a couple members have concern and interest. I am obviously now home again, having spent a short time at a rehab facility getting some intravenous antibiotics to fight off a minor infection and beginning cardiac rehab to begin to grow stronger. I actually left the rehab facility early. I don’t need a rehab facility with 75 and 80 year olds. I can recover and rehab at home. I have everything here at home that I need including 3 wonderful supportive family members who want nothing more than to help me in any way they can.

I am still only a week (today) removed from heart surgery, still in a great deal of “discomfort” if not pain, still weak, and very easily fatigued and still have a long road of recovery and rehab in front of me. I have accepted that my 2017 is over as far as work (blackjack) and now just want to work to get back to 100% to start 2018. Thanks again to all who expressed concern and support.

I wouldn’t have even bothered posting this second part if I didn’t feel I should give an update on my medical condition to the one of two people that have shown concern and support to me. But I will not be returning to this site. This is my final post. Yes, I know I have said this before and will surely be mocked but there is nothing on this site for me or any other AP. This site is a garbage dump...it really is and it shows zero potential to become anything other than a shit hole. It is dominated by trolls and haters. People that hate everyone and everything including AP’s and the concept of advantage play. But mostly, these bitter trolls just hate themselves.

Hate, and attacks. Destroy every thread. Hijacked and destroyed a wonderful thread by mickey that he put a lot of effort into documenting with pictures his travels and the many casinos. Hijacked and destroyed a thread about my heart surgery. I mean come on...someone’s heart surgery...turned into another thread filled with unrelated hate and personal attacks. I shared the most private, personal and traumatic ordeal that I was going through, basically in real time and it was turned into unrelated trolling hate attacks. I understand some of you couldn’t care less about me or my medical situation, but have the fucking decency to not say anything in that thread then. I find it really hard to believe your Mother’s didn’t teach you better than that. Makes me appreciate the mother I am lucky enough to have, even more.

But hell if attacks on someone’ deceased spouse are allowed, I guess everything is fair game. No limitations. Trolling, hate and attacks at will. I guess that is Todd’s vision for this site.

I put up with it much longer than I should have because I wanted to continue to have a place to communicate with a few AP’s (axel, RS, mickey) and a few new non-AP’s ‘friends’, like redietz and a few others. Unfortunately because of circumstances where I am banned at more legitimate sites, I don’t have many options, so I stuck it out here longer than I should have.

This site was a shithole when I got here, lead by the single nastiest troll I have encountered on the internet, Rob Singer with a few guys that seem to worship and adore him, and Alan who “enabled” him by making excuses for his so called “friend”. I had hoped that with Singer finally being shown the door that things would improve. That is not to say, there shouldn’t be opposing points of view and discussions, but not the shithouse, nasty, name calling and personal attacks. But unfortunately, things have only gotten worse, not better since Singers exit. A few really bitter people have escalated their hate. It continues to baffle me, why Todd would put up with this. I guess that is who he is...he must enjoy this kind of shit. In a sense, Todd is the whole problem for allowing this.

I had hoped this site would grow and become a reasonable site that I could invite a few people I know (AP’s) to participate. That I could tell them, “hey, there’s a decent site I participate on that has decent discussions concerning AP as well as non-AP topics”. Axel has expressed something along the same lines. But this site will not become such a place and I would be horrifically embarrassed to recommend it to anyone. This site is a shithole, where the owner apparently welcomes the worse trolls of the internet.

So unless there is a major change in philosophy somewhere along the line, I will not return. Axel, RS, mickey, and my new friends such as redietz, I hope we will meet again on a more reasonable site, somewhere down the line. Alan: continued good health to you, but I would get those eyes checked. Me thinks you sometime see things that aren’t there. Me thinks you see what you want to see. To all you haters and I don’t necessarily mean haters of me or of AP (although most are), more importantly you are haters of life and yourself. To all of you, I sincerely hope you find some happiness in life and let go of the hate and bitterness that consumes you.

And now I have some walking to do. I am going to conquer the freaking driveway and that 2% incline today. (can't find a 'determined' emoji, so I will use the mad one)

Keep steady on the rehab and remember -- it's gonna be six weeks, so do not expect miracles. You can get through 40 days -- just take it 24 hours at a time. Like boot camp. You'll be good to go by Christmas.

Speaking of which, some of my guys will be in Las Vegas post rodeo for a week or so, so check the PMs here and maybe we can get together and say hey. Maybe I'll even bring along an infamous package so you can identify me.

This is the perfect example of everything wrong with this site. perhaps the biggest troll from Wov, unable to troll there is attracted to the hateful trolling that is allowed here. As he stated in his first post, the reputation here of being a shit hole attracted him. Flies to shit!

In typical troll fashion, every single thing this new troll and hater, posted in this short 3 line post is untrue. I was not banned at wizards site because of any drama. I was banned because of a feud from another site, spilled over or was intentionally brought over by someone who put Mike in the middle. This person knew he had leverage with Mike and if he could manipulate Mike into getting involved it would work in his favor. Mike himself, in announcing my suspension described me as "a very valuable member". Nothing about any drama and for good reason, I was never involved in even the slightest argument with anyone over there in 4 years, until someone outside the site, specifically brought an outside feud to the site. So just a complete lie.

As for heart valve issues, this person is again, showing their complete ignorance to the facts. My initial heart valve trouble in my late 20's was not the typical heart valve disease from an older person stuffing themselves with too much butter and fats for a lifetime. My heart valve damage was from endocarditis. This a somewhat rare infection that eats the lining of the heart valve and does so very quickly. By the time people seek medical treatment after not feeling well for a few days, they are usually in significant trouble as the damage is well underway. Again, this is not the usual lifetime of stuffing yourself full of fats heart disease. This is an infection and it strikes indiscriminately in regards to age and health. Most people who contract this illness (endocarditis) are relatively young, under 35 years of age. So this poster just doesn't know shit of which he is talking about.

And my current situation is not a reoccurrence of endocarditis as I am not aware endocarditis is any more likely to reoccur to patients that have had it once. My current situation is simply a mechanical medical replacement devise that failed much earlier than expected. In my case 6 years as opposed to the expected 25-30. Every kind of medical replacement devise, heart, hips, knees whatever has some sort of time frame of how long they are expected to last before needing replacement. Some people get lucky and last longer than expectation and some are unluckier and are on the shorter side of expectation. I guess I just drew the really bad side of variance on this one.

Blackjack tables and this "condition". Again, this is not your typical heart disease. Once you have the valve replacement and recover, there are no limitations. You are NOT dealing with an unhealthy heart. You were dealing with a faulty valve which has been replaced and should be able to go on with life as usual...no limitations, blackjack table or otherwise.

So everything you said is false, wizardofpuke. Shows your complete ignorance in your first hours here. Another troll making up shit to suit himself, even at the expense of someone experiencing a health issue. You will fit right in here. Just what this site needs.

I did not begin participating on blackjack/gambling/AP related forums to battle trolls. I do not find that enjoyable. That is your thing and I don't mean that as an attack. You seem to enjoy that. That's fine, but that is not me. I joined these sites (early on) because it was beneficial for me and my blackjack career. I basically got my education from members of the first blackjack site I was on blackjackinfo, from other members sharing their knowledge and experiences. The kind of things not talked about in all the books. I can honestly say that everything I know and everything I do involving my approach was learned from members of that site.

Later in my career, as I went to other sites, including wov, it became less about learning and that's not to say I know it all about BJ, I still pick up useful tidbits here and there. But I discovered that while I am particularly interested in blackjack, AP and Las vegas (small v), I enjoy discussions on other topics as well. But not just trolling and fighting. What I have been reduced to at GF and here is not the participation I want to be part of and I just won't do it anymore. And in all honesty, I am just not strong enough to ignore numerous trolls, like RS is doing and it would have to be half the active members here. I am not strong enough, to not respond when someone attacks me with blatant lies. I am just not going to have that be what I spend my time doing. You can and sincerely...I wish you enjoyment. Speaking of progressives, I saw a wonderful pick off play by a pro VP team at the Reno Atlantis on the most recently passed Saturday evening. A $1 (5 coin) DDB progressive was over $8K ($4k reset) for an NRF. There were 10 linked machines (7 in the high limit room and 3 outside on the opposite side of the wall of the high limit room). The pro team had at least 7 seats by my estimation and had gotten the NRF around 10PM that evening. Not bad for 5 hours work.
