Not sure if I did the link right or not... I'm new... I think the play here is to sell something on eBay or Craigslist and become a "sole proprietor" business. Your name would be the business name and your social would be your tax I'd #.

Im not a lawyer, so don't call me if you end up in jail... :-)

I'm just practicing links now, but this is another site that gives away money if you look for no proof of purchase required and do not have strong feelings about perjury. You won't get rich... But who doesn't like a random check showing up in the mail?

Also Prozema, people can check the unclaimed property web sites (for their own property or those of deceased relatives) and they may find a pleasant surprise or two.

Ok, I think I have links and edits figured out. I have done the unclaimed property thing, but it seems I do not have a rich uncle dying every other month. That's unfortunate?

Choice Hotels came with another good promotion that started on April 2nd. Buy the first night and get the regular points, buy the 2nd night get 8000 points. You can do it as many times as you want until May 25th. I stay in Rodeway's, Econo's and Quality Inns. I just checked the stats. From April 2nd to April 21st I bought 16 nights for a cost of $852. That's an average of $53 a night. I accumulated 72,270 points which buys 9 free nights at 8000 points per stay. So in effect I'm getting 25 nights for $852. And that averages to $34 a night. That knocks my daily expenses way down. I won't be using any of the points until the promotion is over because I want to rack up as many free nights as I can.

Another saving is the free breakfasts.

Alan said something in another thread about why I don't put up pics of hotel rooms at the casinos I visit. First, alot of these casinos don't have hotels. If you look at the rack rates for the ones that do they average about $100 a night. I won't pay that when I get a much better deal down the street.

"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ

If there were only one thing I was thankful for about the way my parents brought me up, it's that I never had to live the pitiful way you people describe survival in this thread. Concocting over-the-line scams, scrambling around to shave twenty bucks off one's daily expenses....that's what slugs do and it's hardly indicative of what living in America is all about.

But it is with "AP's" apparently.

There's no scrambling around. I pull out my phone, book the room on the app. That's it. I do it faster than the time it takes rob to write another ignorant stupid post.

Simply because you have no standards when it comes to just about everything. Another ripple from always having been a bum, and now that you live out of your car I'm sure it's easy to shave even more off of your huge daily allowance.

It usually occurs when a town is very, very busy for a weekend and the occupancy rate is extremely high. I imagine I'll be spending quite a bit of the summer in the two towns where I get the weeklies, one for $180, the other for $225. But I'll be monitoring the CHI app for what the prices look like in various locations around the western U.S.
I just saw this. I don't know how far in advance you plan your excursions but booking early in those price gouging areas could help you get better rates, or make it possible for you to get those rooms with points. I don't know CHI but with HHonors with travel for my kids' competitions I had to book a couple places months and months in advance to even be able to use my points to pay, or if I had to pay to be able to get the "normal" rate ( as opposed to the gouging rate they'd have later on when most people started planning after their kids qualified). If CHI refunds your points for cancelled point reservations, as HHonors does, and you don't necessarily need your points in the meantime, booking early in anticipation of probably traveling might save you some points or make using your points possible.
