The bomb-sniffing dogs at the monorail caught me by surprise.

I think Halloween slows posting down. I was at Pechanga for 24 hours and had nothing brilliant to report (so I didn't), other than the rooms are quite nice and the vp is fine (NSUD and 9/6). I missed the KJ posting a week ago that was yanked because I was in LV. Evidently I missed an Action Jackson kind of day.
Bomb sniffing dogs? At least it's something. I'm wondering how they handle the crowds on NYE this year. That's got to make people nervous, having that many people crammed into center strip with all the hotels looking down on them. Bag checks? Metal detectors? What a security nightmare.
I was in Las Vegas for Christmas and New Year's after 9/11. No backpacks allowed on the strip and so on. I steered clear of the crowds. Thus began the coordinated data base with all hotels' guest lists being accessible to the feds at any time.

A friend and I were planning on doing a 5K this year the week between rodeo and Christmas. I am going to veto that -- getting shot or blown up during the thing is not on my fave list of things to do -- the jogging (slower than seven minutes per) is bad enough.

It'll be a nightmare. And the protection gained is superficial because if someone wants to get it done, they will be able to get it done.

But that's always been the reality.

Not to be too morbid, but the way this crazy world is circling the shitter, I wouldn't be too surprised if fashion designers incorporate bullet-proof material into some of their designs.

Not a good image, that: young women festooned in kevlar-weave body suits instead of the short, tight little black dresses so prevalent on the strip.

I knew Betty would slow his roll once his man-God Singer left...life isn't much good for Betty without Singer....plus it sure looked like KJ scared the living piss out of him .....Weaselson is a different story...he claims he was scared of KJ, but the facts are he didn't like being exposed as the shady tap dancing clown he really was

Hmmm, the same sort of dynamic was afoot at WoV, and resulted in him packing up his tent and repitching it over here.

What's next for the intrepid reporter?

What forum will next be graced with his presence?

Guy's like him can't stay silent for long, although at times they should.

It was probably just the calm before the storm.

In other news, I was told I was a cute kid, but no adults ever tried to touch me. What gives?

Boy, YOU really are clueless aren't you? It doesn't mean anything that YOUR MOTHER told you that you were cute. The real test was did the priest invite you for a sleepover?

I assume we are talking about Alan here? I have mixed feelings about Alan. He rubs me the wrong way. I am sure it started when he challenged my tracking two tables and pulled that ridiculous stunt of running out to the casino at 3am to take pictures that proved nothing. He manipulated that whole ordeal. And that in a nut shell is my biggest issue. He manipulated everything. It's kind of dishonest and I have tried to call him out on it. He is not very objected in anything, which is contrary to what a journalist is supposed to be.

Alan had an anti-AP view or opinion or agenda. It is very plain to see with all his games and manipulative actions and comments, including looking the other way while his buddy Singer, did the dirty work. He enabled Singer for a much longer time than I have been a part of the site. And now that Singer is gone, Alan doesn't really want to participate here I guess, so in true Alan fashion he manipulated his exit, pretending to have some fear of me. Everyone knows that is ridiculous. First of all I didn't say a word to Alan. It's Alan's dramatic stage right exit and yet another case of Alan trying to convince everyone of 18yo's in a row when everyone knows the truth.

And despite all this, including him trying to discredit me, as part of his anti-AP agenda, I sort of like Alan and hope he stops playing his game and rejoins the discussion.

As an old journalism major, I have tried to give Alan the benefit of the doubt regarding most things. At some point, in terms of how the "package" thing played out, however, I have to at least consider the most obvious conclusions.

Alan put out some posts inviting me to send my verification package with an address. I immediately responded with a post "Yay" and that I would, and then within a couple of minutes Alan PM'ed me that it wasn't necessary and that he believed me. So what is the most likely conclusion? The most likely conclusion is that the initial offer that I should send the stuff was a feeler to see if I was making things up and bluffing, and that if I responded as if I actually was telling the truth, then Alan would back off and change his mind. The other obvious conclusion is that Alan didn't come up with that solo, but that he and Rob discussed it.

No risk to them -- if I back down, then I'm the faker. If I agree, oh well, Alan changed his mind. He's not gonna read the stuff anyway.

I don't really see any other way to interpret the whole thing that makes any sense. So the word "manipulative" does come to mind.

You should not have agreed to anything. These people don't have a right to demand proof anything as they frequently do. The only "right" they have is to decide for themselves whether they believe you or not. Giving in and proving their trollish challenges wrong only serves to empower them in the future. And as you have witnessed, no proof would ever be good enough. I certainly understand why you did what you did. A person just gets tired of people trying to constantly discredit them. But you still shouldn't have.

This is something mickey frequently pointed out. Alan and Singer working behind the scenes in obvious collusion. At times Alan would just disappear when Singer was at his worst (or when sock puppet Singer showed up). Alan always knew. They were always working together. And Alan always tried to play the "good cop" to Singer's "bad cop". It was downright insulting to have them both play everyone the way they did.

There is no need for this thread other than to brag about my achievements.

I was advised a year or so ago that it would be in my wife’s and children’s best interests if I bought another home. If you’re interested why, hire your own tax lawyer and accountant.

Most old people on the east coast retire in Florida. Although there are some very nice homes in Florida, I never liked being there, except when the kids were small and we stayed on Disneyland properties several times.

About a year ago a friend of a friend (lol but true) knew of this foreign couple looking to sell their home in Nevada. My wife and I were able to check the house out over a year ago and were totally impressed with it. It’s about 15 / 20 miles south of Las Vegas and considered one of the safest places to live in the country. After some thought and discussion with the kids we decided it would be a good purchase.

The people that own this house bought it brand new, were hardly there, and never rented it out. They are very hard to get in touch with and very, very, hard to communicate with due to speech. I suspect somethings up with them or their moving back to their country. We were told not to discuss anything other than the house with them. When talks got serious we had to have an interpreter with us.

My last visit to Vegas included two meetings with them, and finally a contract. We’ll be closed in the middle of May, 2018. Why in May? I still don’t know but that’s what the sellers wanted. No real estate is involved either.

The house was decorated so well, we bought all the furniture except for a few items, and actually bought the car in the garage also.

My children are excited and I think it’s for the entertainment value for them. If they visit while we’re there, we have plenty rooms and bathrooms to accommodate. Of course, they would have full access year-round, since I have no intentions to rent either.

So, it looks like I’ll be close at times to some of the finest hustlers I know from the internet. When I’m finally officially there, I’ll log in again from there, if this site still exists.

I will not prove a single thing I just said above. I also will not discuss anything about where exactly it is, no pictures, absolutely nothing.
In fact, I won’t post again till I get there.

Oh yea, Kiwlj, you are a complete fucking moron. While trying to right your sinking ship with posts getting no residence with facts, is just another indication of how fucked up your warped homo mind actually is. Every time I read one of your posts it reminds me of Anderson Copper from CNN. I just can’t look at him on T.V. without picturing a cock in his mouth with balls resting on his chin. (not that there’s anything wrong with that) And 2-bit Mickey, what could I say except to put what I said above in your 2-bit pipe and smoke it.

I have only two words I want you two morons to remember me by…… FUCK-OFF

As for Anderson Cooper, I think I will try that visual image. You don't mind if I picture MY cock in his mouth and MY balls resting on his chin, do you?
Well, I really like Anderson Cooper (in a journalistic way), but you guys are making it tough to watch him.

Blackhole, KJ, mickey, whomever, some of the guys and I will be in LV between rodeo and Christmas, if you feel like making an appearance in the near future. We do occasionally visit spas, but don't get your hopes or anything else up -- we're straighter than Clint Eastwood with rigor mortis. Or at least I think we are....

I doubt I am up for any kind of meet up in December. As you know I am in "recovery" mode, and while on schedule, it is going to be a grind well into December. I actually have a trip scheduled over Thanksgiving to go back east, visit friends, tickets to an Eagles game...I was going to introduce my brother to the excitement of the Phila Eagles, and I don't think I will be able to make that trip. I have a week or so, before I have to decide for sure, so still hoping things progress.

Do you know national Rodeo Finals week (it's really 11 days) is my least favorite time of the year. Those people "mosey" into town and everything they do is in slow motion. You get behind a group walking and it will take you a half hour to get 2 minutes up the road. God forbid, you get a couple at the blackjack table. Every decision is a 10 minute ordeal. Should I hit my 16 or stand. Who cares....just pick one in the next hour.

The only consolation is Rodeo week is followed by one of my favorite times of the year in vegas. Beginning Monday after Rodeo, through dec 24, it is the slowest period of the year in vegas. Some of the shows and restaurants even shut down. I like it slow and quiet. Not that either the rodeo nor the slow period is going to mean much to me this year.

Good grief, what a compassionate, empathetic soul.

Blackhole wants to knock your teeth out and shit down your throat, and you want to sit around the campfire with him and sing Kumbaya.

    Crazy world.

Cheap, KJ, you forgot to mention that it is dirt cheap. Suites for the price of rooms. Food discounted to the max. And so on.

I don't know about how slow the cowboys be, but what drives me nuts is the casinos catering in their chameleon whore way by blasting country western Christmas Muzak all over the place. Bad stuff; really bad stuff.

On a gambling board, I think it's called straight-up mental illness.

On second thought, it's a good time to make my last gambling forum post, ever. Can't sink much lower than this.

I have seen OHO make this post like a dozen times now, once on another rather obscure site, that I don't even really participate on, and I have no idea why he keeps posting it. I am not the brightest bulb in the pack. Can someone explain it to me like I am a 5 year old? (or however that Denzel Washington line goes)

Hey Mister v. Sidthesquid is now 4 and a half days into his 3 day suspension. What gives over at that place. Some of us are housebound and need the entertainment of seeing him fire back.

Yeah, some places really roll out the red carpet for rodeo week. Not so much the bigger strip casinos, as the downtown casinos and places like Sam's Town, South Point and some of the Station properties. They really roll out the red carpet.

I don't know how many people come for NRF week? Most that do, come for the second weekend when the finals really occur. I think by the numbers, it is not a super huge draw compared to something like Nascar weekend, which draws a couple hundred thousand people. I think the thing with NRF (rodeo week) is that it is spread out over 11 days (2 weekends) and occurs during a traditionally slow time of year, so it some how gets bigger treatment than it is really worth.

Also not even all the people participating in the rodeo, use hotel rooms. Many participants that bring their horse or whatever live stock have rather elaborate horse trailers that have a sleeping compartment. The intermural fields at the back end of UNLV, Swenson and Harmon, near (Hardrock), are turned into a sort of horse trailer city, accommodating hundreds of trailers and people basically living there for the 10 days. It's like a little city springs up there for a couple weeks. And there is a second, smaller similar situation, at Horseman's Park on Flamingo, half mile east of Sam's Town.
