Huh? I want this! I am planning to use my trip mid December and haven’t decided yet whether to fly or drive. Flight from SAN so not too expensive. This would be great either way. Will have to ask my host about this!

    Hi Nerakil:

Thanks for the update. I received the same email today but the "flash offer" was on the end of the email and I did not notice its significance. I will look for a time in Nov and Dec to fly into Vegas to use this offer. By my calculation, 120,000 in reward credits for Seven Stars will yield $960 worth of free play. Do you know if one can still get the standard $500 folio for the Seven Stars annual retreat -- as well as any other offer usually available for that time frame?

FAB....after your post I looked at my emails. I see the offer at the end, as you said. I wasn’t even going to read the email.

    Thanks Nerakil.

    Hi Chimp:

Great to see you on the Board again. I miss your comments and your jackpot photos!

    Hey FAB,

Ahhhh...the jackpots. The good ole days. I miss them too!

Thank you for posting this. I wouldn't have read the whole email either. I am trying right now to arrange things so that I can make a run out there for this.

I just got off the phone after calling the VIP services hotline set forth in Nerakil's initial post. I was told that the 120,000 reward credits was only in lieu of the $1,200 free flight. If I used my Seven Stars annual retreat using this "flash offer" I would still get the $500 folio credit -- which could be used for food and spa charges. Additionally, this was a benefit which could be used in addition to any offers otherwise available on the dates I am visiting. So for a particular weekend I am looking at in November it will mean 120,000 Reward credits (worth $960 in free play redemption), plus $500 in spa and food, plus $200 in Cash (based on an offer). By contrast, a flight to Vegas for me roundtrip is $215.

This, of course, assumes that the VIP services guy knew what he was talking about. That said, he did put me on hold for about three minutes to talk to a supervisor so perhaps he did accurately describe the terms.

Given the fact that this offer is only for visits to Vegas, my guess is that the Mandalay Bay shooter really drove tourists away and so caused CET to act to fill up Vegas rooms in Nov and Dec.

FAB, a folio credit would make the "Flash Deal" even more outstanding. Thanks for giving VIP Services a call; hopefully the $500.00 credit is setup for you on your retreat!

That's the way it should be, with the detail as it is in the email - where you get all the things you normally get ($500 folio and ability to also collect another offer) but the 120,000 reward credits instead of the free flight.

I really wish Alan was still posting here since he's always in Vegas, and Caesars in particular, because I'm curious about what it's like there now crowd wise. Like this just seems too generous for CET.

This is a great deal for anyone who is either going to travel alone OR is close enough to drive.

However, I don't believe people with Vegas listed as their "home market" can take advantage of this, as I believe the 7 Stars retreat has to be outside your home market.

Hopefully this "flash deal" will become the norm, and people will simply be able to book their own travel and just get the $1200 RCs once they show up. This would be far preferable to having to go through the travel agent to book flights, and to feel like you're not really getting your money's worth on this trip if you go somewhere relatively close (such as a person in LA going to Tahoe for their retreat).

I would love it if I could simply drive to Tahoe, do my retreat there, and get $1200 in RCs as soon as I check in.

I have Vegas as my dominant property, but my Vegas host said he booked this flash offer for me to use next week. I can couple it with a $500 free play offer. I will be traveling alone given the short notice. Maybe Vegas tourism was so hurt by the MandslayBay shooting that CET just decided to waive the Annual Retreat rule that you cannot use it for your home market.

Would love to hear a trip report, FAB! Hope they set-up your folio credit correctly and the Reward Credits hit your TR account within 72 hours as stated!

I think I still have Caesars Palace as my "dominant property". Wonder if I can get myself to NOLA and collect those $1200?

    Hi Nerakil:

I will tell the forum how it goes as I plan to visit this weekend on this flash offer. I hope the Reward Credits hit my account prior to 72 hours (like Chimp) as I will be checking in on Friday and out Sunday. Otherwise, I will have to use the Reward Credits on another trip.

FAB - I will use my RCs for freeplay. Probably won’t last too long since I tend to be a bit reckless when using freeplay. Lol

Have a great trip. Looking forward to hearing about it.

Btw...although not a CET casino, I have played at the Mirage on my last two trips. Didn’t leave with a profit, but my $ seems to last longer there.

Typically, CET properties have worse games (higher house edge) but also offer better rewards, whereas MGM properties have better games (lower house edge) but offer worse rewards. Rewards being stuff like free-play, mailers, etc. Although, you likely wouldn't be able to notice such a difference with a short amount of time playing, due to the volatility of the games.

Glad y'all have confirmed you can bill-to-room from a property you aren't staying at. I rarely eat on the strip except when I have free food credits (which is rare).

Very good info, it is such a pain in the ass to use passport travel.

I'm no CET buff, so just some notes on visitation effects. Of course, LV isn't going to accurately report the empty room numbers publicly, but there have been public concessions that Asian visitors are way down, partly because it is considered disrespectful to party where such a tragedy has occurred. I've read a couple of quotes where managements expect Asian tourism to be significantly depressed at least through year's end.

Also, and this is just a small angle, the buses that routinely take international visitors and their families from the Anaheim/Disney area for one and two-day junkets to LV are having problems filling their buses. Some are cutting back on personnel. The decisions were made quickly to do that, so I'm assuming there was a real crash in terms of numbers.

Got a call from my host and she said you do get the $500 "folio" credit (ie: bill-to-room credit) plus $1200 in RC's, redeemable at 125 RC's = $1 FP. She also said it has to be booked before Dec. 31'st but used before Jan. 31'st. But then again, I don't trust that sneaky bitch, so I'll probably just do it some random time in December.

BTW, either I'm retarded or they just changed this or I've been left in the dark -- but apparently you can bill stuff to your room from a different property. So if you're staying at Caesar's Palace, you can go eat at the Paris Buffet or some other place, and bill it to your room at CP. I never knew this. I haven't done this (yet?), but a person at the TR desk told me, and I was flabbergasted....didn't think that was possible. Can anyone confirm or deny?
