Thread: Many Caesars properties will now give you folio credit for not using the maid

According to Seven Stars Insider, you get the following if you opt out of maid service:

Harrah's Joliet - $5 in food and beverage credit per day.
Harrah's North Kansas City - $5 in food and beverage credit per day.
Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort and Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel - $20 in free play per day.
Harrah's New Orleans - 500 Reward Credits per night.
Bally's and Caesars Atlantic City, Harrah's Resort - $10 food and beverage credit per day.
All Las Vegas properties except The LINQ and The Cromwell - $10 food and beverage credit per day.

This is actually pretty good. I opt out of maid service anyway, because I don't like people in my room, and I am not so messy to where I need my room cleaned daily. (Do you get your house cleaned daily?)

You are still allowed to ask for extra towels, toiletries, etc.

Your stay must be at least 2 nights. If you stay only 1 night, this does not apply.

You must mention this at the front desk when you check in.

The first thing I do when I get to a room is hang the do not disturb sign. Unless I'm there on an extended stay I don't want maid service.

I stayed two nights at Caesar's Atlantic City at the end of September 2018 and only received a $10 food and beverage credit for waiving maid service. Could that be because my tier is Diamond rather than Seven Stars?

FYI, thanks to Stephen Paddock (who gunned down numerous people on October 1, 2017 from his Mandalay Bay hotel room), those who waive maid service must give authorization for hotel security to enter their room daily. I actually saw security entering people's locked rooms.

They changed the offer since Dan started the thread, from $10 per night to $10 per stay.

But you would have only gotten a $10 credit for your 2-night stay under the old offer anyway, the $10 credit would not have applied to the second night. The reasoning is that since you are checking out after the second night and vacating the room, you would not need a second room cleaning/bed making.

I just stayed 2 nights at Harrah's and forgot to claim this, despite not letting the maid in.

    I feel like an idiot.

The desk agent should advise the guest of the offer upon check-in, but in my experience they rarely do
