Thread: "The Halal Guys" Middle Eastern fast food joint to open at Caesars -- free food on December 14

If you're in Vegas, you may want to drop by their fast food court (which is close to the self parking structure, at the casino level) on December 14.

The Halal Guys, a Middle Eastern fast food chain, is opening in the Caesars fast food court.

The grand opening date is December 14, and they will be serving complimentary food from 12pm-5pm, and again from 11pm-4am.

The eatery is described on Caesars website as follows:

Perfect for lunch, dinner or evening cravings, The Halal Guys is open late into the night to cater to night owls looking for a post-OMNIA Nightclub bite. The menu at the new Caesars Palace location features the signature sandwiches and platters with a choice of chicken, beef gyro, chicken and gyro combo or crispy falafel- all seasoned to perfection. Meals are made to be customized with toppings, smooth hummus, smoky baba ghanoush, golden fries and more. Guests can drizzle or drench their meals with the tempting white sauce or spice things up with the famous and fiery hot sauce. The restaurant also offers delicious baklava for dessert.
It will be replacing Phillips Seafood Express.

Caesars revamped their food court about two years ago, doing away with their mostly-lousy internal brands, and replacing them with Caesars-owned fast food franchises.

Existing fast food outlets -- some being franchised outlets and some apparently being new internal brands -- include Smashburger, Earl of Sandwich, DiFara Pizza, Tiger Wok Ramen, La Gloria (Mexican), and Romaine Empire (salads).

They're serving complimentary food....as in, a free meal, right? I don't wanna show up to get a free sample of some nonsense like that.

I don't even know what the Middle Easterns eat. Is it a big mix of Asian, African, and European food, like rice, flies, and kabobs?

Edit: Ah, I see. Looks like falafel, ghandaroish (dafuq dat?), and gyro. If it's free, it's a definite maybe.

I am going to be skeptical about portion sizes for any food giveaway. I think it will be a couple of samples on a plate. I just don't see a restaurant giving away full meals. Sorry.
