Hey, I gave you credit above for being a talented writer and only someone with your abilities could have wrote the first hand account of the incident at Church’s.
    While I appreciate the compliment...

1.) The, "Chicken," in Church's Chicken should have been capitalized.

2.) "Three-piece," meal would have been more appropriate than, "3 piece meal." Generally, you only want to use digits for numbers greater than ten.

3.) While the pronoun, 'It,' was not technically incorrect in the following sentence, the writer should have specified what the observed individual was shoving in her mouth. Given that the individual was eating a meal, it could have been a biscuit.

4.) The following sentence is a fragment and should have just been connected to the preceding sentence with a comma.

5.) It should say, "Out of her shorts," rather than, "Out her shorts."

6.) There should be a comma after, "Employees," in the second to last sentence. Actually, the way it is written, it implies that the, "Lady who was homeless," might be the other entity who feels bad for the employees, rather than the writer.

What I will compliment is that the writer of that is better with imagery (though, unfortunately so, in this case) than I am.

In the Scavening Abandoned Tickets thread Mission146 posted an article he wrote a few years back about knowing the laws. Here's a link.

    https://wizardofvegas.com/articles/k...-laws-part-II/

A good part of the article was about Colorado gaming laws. From 92 until 96 I spent quite a bit of time playing poker in Colorado. I can tell you that the gaming regulations there are the most strictly enforced in the country. And I also know how it came to be that way.

In the 80's Cripple Creek, Colorado was an old mining town that had been a ghost town for decades. There was a little bit of summer tourism as some people wanted to see an old high mountain town. But not that much economic activity. The two and 3 story brick buildings, built around the turn of the 19th century, lined both sides of the street for a couple of blocks. Throw down 10K and a building was yours. Thats how bad things were there.

There was an old guy there called the Colonel that had an old time wild west photo shop he operated in the summers. One day he was reading a newspaper and caught an article about Deadwood, South Dakota and how legalized gambling had revived the town. And he thought Cripple Creek could sure use something like that.

The Colonel started the movement to get gaming into the mountain towns of Cripple Creek, Blackhawk and Central City. They started by trying to get it thru the legislature but the christian Governor, Roy Roemer, was adamantly opposed to legalized gambling in any form and threatened to veto any legislation. He was highly concerned about crime that legalization might bring.

So the Colonel and his cohorts decided to get enough signatures to get it on statewide ballot. It was a way to go over the Governor's head. He couldn't veto a vote of the people. The ballot initiative was a success and in 1991 gaming was legalized in the mountain towns.

However, the Governor had the right to appoint the Colorado Gaming Commission which would write all the laws governing the gaming. He appointed people that were more known for being squeaky clean anti gamblers than having any experience in gaming.

They basically copied Nevada regulations but made them more strict. Gaming agents would regularly enter casinos and give pop quizzes to employee's on the gaming regulations. Every kind of dispute or discrepency had to be handled exactly the same in every casino.

They weren't just strict on customers. They were strict on casino employee's too. It was against the law for anyone to be visibly intoxicated on premises. And it was against the law for an employee to allow anyone visibly intoxicated to stay on property. Both could be charged.

Early on the houses and gaming agents didn't know anything about abandoned credits on the machines. All the houses had bartop video pokers. You had to feed coins in but they held credits. There were pigeon holes underneath where coins that didn't register would go. Players didn't know about the pigeon holes. After a busy night I could sit down at a bar and pull handfuls of quarters and dollars out of the pigeon holes.

There was also a lot of couponing. There was one guy I knew that was working it heavily. He drew the ire of certain employee's. Then they saw him taking credits off a machine and contacted gaming. He may have been the first charged with petty theft over taking $2. This was about 1994.

There was the case of someone getting arrested for using a strategy card at the blackjack table. It was one of those cards you find in the gift shops in vegas. Not worth the paper it's printed on. I tried to follow the case but lost track of it. Years later I eventually got a question to Arnold Snyder about it on GWAE. . Snyder tried to get someone to take the case pro bono when it happened. He couldn't exactly remember but he thought the case was eventually thrown out.

Gaming agents went after card counters too. We're talking $5 max bet blackjack. It was probably 15 years before they learned card counting isn't illegal.

This goes back to the old Phoenix House Cardroom in Cripple Creek. A gaming agent came in and seen a pot get shoved to one person in the Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better game. The other player in the pot failed to make an 8 low. He made the dealer split the pot because, he said, there was nothing in the regulations sanctifying the 8 qualifier. He advised all poker rooms they were breaking the law if using the 8 qualifier. So thereafter the Omaha Hi-Lo game was played without a qualifier. That is, until months later a new regulation sanctified it. LOL.
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ

Nice post mickey. I want to address the card counter quote, but first, I was following 2 cases a few years ago and it is hard to follow these cases. Both just sort of disappeared from the news. The first was a case in Pennsylvania, where a team of AP's using many player cards, I guess along the lines of what Darkoz does was busted. I can see why that is problematic for casinos and technically illegal, but if you enforce that 100%, every husband and wife, or person collecting free play from a relative should be busted and the casinos have always looked the other way on that.

This brings me to the second case which was in Colorado which was about a husband wife (I believe) playing on and collecting each others free play. I was shocked that they would make a case against a husband wife or any relative. If anyone was going to it would be Colorado, I guess. Anyway, both cases just sort of disappeared from the news. Probably settled with small fine or in the case of husband and wife, maybe just dismissed.

So to your quote above. My career, 18 years now, has exactly matched the expansion of casinos and new jurisdictions in the U.S. None of these new jurisdictions understood that card counting isn't illegal. How can thinking be illegal? They all seemed to want to make some kind of case against card counters. Some learned the hard way, via Mr Nersesian. Some I guess figured it out as they went. Some still haven't learned this.

Some, like Pennsylvania, actually have things written into their laws that I believe are illegal, and if challenged and a good lawyer that understands like Nersesian, were to explain it to a judge or jury that really understood what he was explaining, the law or state regulation would fall. Lot of "ifs" there though. Most judges or even jury just wouldn't understand, wouldn't even have an interest in understanding, so these laws and state regulations have remained.

Anyway, over the years, you frequently see blackjack players, including legitimate AP's and professional players say or post that Las Vegas is sweaty and not tolerant. I am often asked why I play mostly Vegas when there are better places with better rules. The answer is that Vegas understand the rules and laws. They know what is illegal and what isn't. Sure sometimes they need a little reminder, usually at the hands of Mr Nersesian, but they know and I know, what is illegal or against state regulations and I know exactly what my remedies are should some real problem occur.

In these other jurisdictions, try fighting people (pit and administrative) about laws and regulations that they don't even know what they are...you don't get far. Basically I want to know the rules and know that the other side knows the rules. Not have people making things up as they go because they don't know. These other jurisdictions are basically playing a game that they don't even know the rules to or are still learning the rules.

That and the abundance of game, the sheer number in close proximity are why I choose to call Las Vegas home.

You play in LV because they know the laws?

That may be part of it, but based on your prior posts I thought the main reason you played there is because the large number of casinos allows you to play at many different venues and thus count cards under the radar.
    What, Me Worry?

Hey MrV. you troublemaker, pot stirrer.

I am not saying it was the only reason or even one of the TOP reasons. Let's say there were a variety of reasons.

But back in spring summer 2009, when it became obvious I had worn out my welcome in Atlantic City and my days numbers, I considered several options for my next move. One being to stay where I was, in Phila for a couple more years and play the Pennsylvania casinos, which at that time were open but did not have table games. Table games were due to start and the good rules (s17) were rumored. Staying in Pa for a couple years bouncing around the casinos in eastern Pa, and nearby Delaware, with occasional trips elsewhere, would have required me to start driving, something I didn't do at that time. I also didn't think that a permanent solution. I wanted a big rotation to play and in the end, that was going to be Vegas.

Another consideration was spending a couple years in the midwest, upper Michigan, Wisconsin area and spend a couple years driving around all the Indian Casinos there. At that time that was the rage among card counters....all the great rules in the midwest Indian casinos. Problem is I knew players that played these casinos regularly and either weren't winning or were winning far below expectation, despite these so called better conditions. I am not saying they were cheating or not offering honest games, but I just was never comfortable with the level of oversight....sometimes none at Indian Casinos. There were also reported cases of Indian casinos detaining players and confiscating chips.

In the end, I want to play where I know as much as I can what is going on and what the rules are, what is legal and what isn't. Vegas sort of checked all my boxes and vegas is where I was always going to end up. I believe Vegas was my destiny. I love it here for a variety of reasons.

Now moving on, MrV, I know you meant nothing by it, but I take exception to the following line: "is because the large number of casinos allows you to play at many different venues and thus count cards under the radar."

Nobody is allowing me to count cards, nor do I think I am under the radar. When I moved here, I didn't know how long I would last. Vegas had a reputation of being sweaty. I specifically came up with a plan, to spread my play around to the large number of games available, some only mediocre as far as rules and condition. So mediocre that other card counters won't bother with. I worked hard to learn just what would be tolerated and what wouldn't. Betting levels, length of time playing (short sessions), win amounts. Part of that process was getting backed off when I was wrong and my play fell outside comfort levels. And these levels change by casino, by day of week, time of day, crowded vs uncrowded conditions. Eventually, I learned and my backoffs decreased.

Anyway, maybe I am being a little sensitive, but nobody is allowing me anything. I worked at learning my game, including what is and isn't tolerated. I think I know Vegas blackjack pretty darn well. And that is why when someone comes along claiming things that aren't the way Vegas works, I can spot it right away. I usually keep those doubts to myself, but ya know in select cases, I just feel the need to call "bullshit".

In re-reading your comment MisterV, I realize you were not saying the casinos allowed anything, but rather the large number allowed for this or that. Yes, you are right and my apology for mis-interpreting your comment.

    No worries, KJ.

I enjoy reading your posts about BJ even though it isn't my game.

That's a nice "story" kew, but for any true professional gambler to consider LV as third option when they continue to say they play there because of how "simple" it is to stay under the radar, deserves 4 solid Pinocchio's. Kudos to Mr. V for calling you out on that, which also very clearly explains why you needed to reply twice to his zinger. You kept wondering, uncomfortably, if your bullshit dissolved effectively enough, what he was saying.

Posts like these are quite revealing Rob. Unknowingly, you reveal the insight as to how you a 20 year troll making up stories and claims, altering previous stories, claims and timelines, thinks. You weigh things in your mind as to whether people will believe your story or claim. I mean we can see you doing it.

I and others have no need to do that. I mean it is something that never even crosses our mind. We just share our experiences and that's it. If there are people who have questions or may not understand, we try to explain. But if it is someone who doesn't want to understand or believe something, it is a waste of time.

Rob, I have been on gambling/blackjack message boards since 2006. I have shared my experiences as I was going through them. That's what I wanted to do. And nothing about my story or experiences has ever changed. Nothing. It is remarkably consistent for one simple reason. It is the truth and I have no lies to remember like you. I don't need to consider what would play better or anything like that, which you have now revealed that you do.

About the only time I wasn't honest was the fake death situation, when I was trying to protect myself after being robbed and anyone that doesn't see or understand that again, doesn't want to see or understand that situation.

So yeah, I am sure YOU would weigh in your mind what is believable and what you can get away with as far as your phony claims, but the rest of us, don't need to do that....don't need to think like that.

You blacks are a strange people.

And anyone else on this forum that may be black, please take no offense at my black references. I just like to remind Rob, who has proven to be a racist and bigot of his African heritage. I like to remind him, that he is exactly what he hates most.

One can only wonder the level of conflict kew has going on through his mind. He takes a direct hit----so he responds with a copy of one of his canned essays. The definition of CHAOS. And he does this on every forum

Is it even possible to imagine the absolute misery and torture he's forced to endure as he reads forums who've dumped this loser loner who gets laughed at everywhere for his concocted internet forum life tales? Not being able to "post and set the record straight according to his make-believe fairy world" has to drive such an insecure doofus out of his mind. He not only takes it up the ass....he TAKES IT UP THE ASS!!

If this is how Rob feels about kewlJ's essays, imagine how Rob feels about knowing Rob has internet videos, permanently available to all, where he opines on his ability to telepathically read video poker machines.

I'm trying to understand how it would feel if I said I could precognitively handicap football games, and my saying it could be viewed by unlimited numbers of people in perpetuity.

I'd try to move to a different planet. Or make up some cockamamie story that I was in the CIA posing as a precog so I could fool the Russians and save the U.S. from disaster, or something like that. While driving a Newell, of course, which I sold in three days to Israelis after taking out the cheapest, shortest ad in RV Trader to sell a half million dollar vehicle. After posing in a Newell at a dealership down the highway from my daughter's place and saying it was mine. While I kept mine under wraps for the Israelis, of course.

Yeah, I give up. Nothing anybody writes is going to affect Rob's online legacy. People will be looking at the Rob in the Newell with the same squeegee a thousand years from now, trying to figure out why the hell the people running forums put this stuff on their sites. It is a legacy for the ages. Dissertations will be written. Documentaries will be made. Rob's great grandchildren will be selling movie rights, kind of like Custer.

Thanks, Mission. I failed to mention that when Roy Roemer appointed the Gaming Commission members he told them he wanted the gaming regulations strictly enforced on both gamblers and casino employee's. The Commission has taken a tough line ever since. Casino employee's probably report the credit hustling because they themselves don't want to get on the wrong side with the Gaming Commission.

Not that it matters but I have never taken anything, including a penis in my ass. If I wanted to do such a thing I would, but I just have no desire. I think that particular orifice is an exit, not an entrance.

But let's discuss Rob's obsession with homosexuals and homosexual acts. In my experience, every time someone is filled with such homophobic hate as Rob, they are a closet fag. Rob is the perfect example, of a guy from an early generation, who cowardly hides in the closet, sneaking around in parks and bathroom stalls sucking dick and based on Rob's rhetoric, no doubt taking it up the ass himself and then running home to his beard of 40 years, claiming to hate queers.

We have seen this movie a thousand times. These people like Rob are cowards and liars. No surprise there since everything this person has ever said or claims has turned out and been proven to be a lie. This is a self hating, bitter old dude.

I'm already getting feedback. Several people have liked the article. One guy commented that Professor Slots probably makes more than slot AP's because of all the gullible people in the world.

Mission, Professor Slots followed me on twitter several months ago. But myself and some other slot AP's blocked him. I just unblocked him. The guy has 10K followers. I've always said if you want to make money selling information on gambling then sell pie in the sky to the ploppies. They're a huge market compared to serious gamblers.

Anyways, someone sent me something he wrote in response to your article. It's posted below. On Twitter I sent him a link to the Professor Slots thread on WoV and suggested he participate in it.

Thank you for explaining things that homos believe leaves a chocolate taste in their mouths. Next time, leave out the essays nobody reads, and just SAY it.

You are just a gross, disgusting, lowlife, pig of a person. I can't wait for you to die. The forum, the world will be a better place.

Now tell us again, how you are not like this in real life. You just choose to be a nasty asshole on the forums. You bitter, old fucktwad.

I guess when you have a nine inch cock, a former career as a 007 and a working relationship with Mossad you can pretty much rule internet forums.
