You got me to respond this time.
Are you trying to say that this guy on YouTube is Fake?
Even if he is fake, which I'm not yet on board with, it wouldn't matter.
The concept is real.
Do you need that much gear?
No.
However, if you are on a 3 or 4 month Elk Hunt, perhaps the more amenities the better.
I'm certain that the shower prolongs the length of any camp/hunt.
Having a shitter is a good idea as well and I'm guessing you want to bag it up and dispose of it which is an issue.
I'm not sure that you realize that camping out in a Wall Tent for months on end is a real thing.
Maybe you do realize it.
Maybe you are an expert woodsman who has camped for over 40 years now.
Perhaps this guy is faking it to earn revenue but that doesn't mean the concept isn't real or that many people are actually doing such things.
Many enthusiasts camp all winter long inside of these Wall Tents.
I guess they use the snow as a water supply.
Some of these extremists pack in on horses or mules and use much less weight.
Personally, I'm going to give it a try.
I'll camp near home for a few weeks to get adjusted.
I don't plan on going too deep into the woods or mountains but eventually I want to camp near a River but close enough to be able to use my truck to drive to the local town to replenish supplies.
I've been looking into Colorado and Oregon as those are places I would enjoy.
No reason to talk too much about it further.
Not sure why you are always cracking on me or giving me pushback.
It isn't like I am Redietz who is trying to sell you his sports picks or claiming that I go 15-1 in my NFL Picks or constantly win Picking Contests.
I mean this guys girlfriend beats every pro out there when she picks her winners.
Here I am, just sharing honest and real information and I have to eat your shit sandwiches.
Perhpaps quahaug had the best advice and I should just blow my Fucking Head Off.
I was hoping to prolong that event for a few more years.
And to respond to maxpen, this isn't for people spending a little time in the woods.
This is a bit more advanced and trips consist of weeks into months.
Some of these people camp in them for 8 months per calendar year.
Others are even more extreme and put them on a platform and leave them up all year long.
That is more about people setting them up on their own property.
They probably have acreage.
This isn't for a weekend fishing trip or spending some "time" in the woods.

I was just having a little innocent fun. I have a good 4by4 but know nothing about camping out, but I do go off-road in the Berkshires with a canoe "and portage cart" for fishing trips, where the scenery is great. Looking at a few of these lakes completely untouched from the outside world. You would think that you were back in the early 16 hundreds or something. The portage cart also helps after crossing one lake to hike backwoods to another lake.

Perhaps I just want to do something my father enjoyed doing and that I did growing up in my youth with him before I die.
Maybe I just want to get away from society for awhile.
It is possible I have been researching this subject along with RVs for a few years now trying to plan it out.
Perhaps the Vegas Lifestyle is too easy and I have a difficult time letting all my free play run out so I can get the Fuck out of the Trap.
Yeah, maybe those are a few of the issues.
Perhaps, I am just a Fucking Nutcase too.
You are knocking something that has worked for over 2000 years.
400 years with the Wall Tents but Heated Tents are all throughout history.
Just because we have modern amenities doesn't mean that the original ways aren't superior.
I tend to believe they are.
But I have romantic ideas in my head.
Too Bad my wife is now turning into a shut in thanks to Covid and has no real interest in roughing it.
And you are not just having a little bit of innocent fun.
You have been dogging me on many subjects for some time now.
It's ok, I get it, It just gets a little annoying since I don't recall ever giving you shit on any subject you have brought up.
I respect you and your posts though.
Keep on keeping on as I still think I am thick skinned enough to take it.
I will try to ignore you more but your relentlessness can push my buttons at times.
I don't think you realize the value of using a Wall Tent for extending camping.
When you compare costs, it crushes every other choice not to mention how deep you can get into remote places.
And you are able to have warm/hot showers if you set that up.

Monet, follow your dreams, life just goes passing by too fast.
Much easier and more simple when you are 18 years old.
Not so simple, later in life, when you have people depending on you and you have to take others thoughts into consideration.
Sure, I could go on a 3 month Elk or Moose Hunt and enjoy it but doesn't seem fair to the wife who has to sit at home by herself.
Not to mention that I have an Uncle who depends on me and I am the last line of defense from him being institutionalized.
Major Complications in the way of "My Dreams."
But you guys go ahead and continue on with your Pie in the Sky Bullshit "Follow Your Dreams" advice.
I'll continue to live on in the real world where things are usually a logistical nightmare.
I get it, but there can be a happy medium. Certainly I’m speaking in generalizations because everyone’s situation is different. But not everything has to be 3 months, there are short hunts available. Using hunting as an example because you brought it up.
In your case it’s not money, it’s justifying the time I guess. Whatever, it’s your life to live, not mine.
Your point is well taken.
That's why I am still here dreaming about such things.
To complete the goals or dreams is a bit too difficult because of responsibilities.
That doesn't mean we can't discuss such matters on this public forum.
Nice Job on completing yours and getting the wife on board to move to Florida during Covid none the less!
Well Done!

Very Kind Words.
Thanks for that.
I feel like a pussy saying this to you but thanks.
On another note... FUCK LAZ-Y-BOY.
I bought my uncle a 2800 dollar Golden Tech Twilight Lift Chair Recliner yeserday because he was having trouble standing up and needs the lift option now.
That Fucking Chair is AWESOME.
Way the Fuck better than Laz-Y-Boy!
If my other Macy's Recliner wasn't in 100% working order I would buy another one because that chair is AWESOME.
Oh yeah, by the way, the Buffalo Sabres Suck and we all should make plenty of money betting against them for the rest of the season.
I said this a few times before so you sports bettors out there should have made some coin already... Fuckers!

Thank you for the compliment. You are absolutely right this is the place to discuss stuff we think about. It’s easy to get into the mud and argue with clowns, but good conversations are so much more productive. Left sunny Florida for a few days and going to enjoy the colder weather in Northern Nevada this weekend. Have a great day!
Damn IPad turned picture sideways. Oh well, life isn’t always straight up.
Monet, I am calling a cheap shot on you. You started off talking about future plans and various different possibilities and ways of living out in the wilderness for months at a time. I made a joke about something I know absolutely nothing about and I already said I felt bad about it. Then you lose it and start talking about family responsibilities including an elderly uncle. How the hell are the readers supposed to know about your personal life? Why did you not make mention of your limitations earlier?
This is some of what you are missing:
I don't mess with you and you know it even though you may deserve it. If you accuse me of unjust things I might as well comply starting with the two above videos. Any variation of the ending of the book "Of Mice and Men" that went something like Lenny we will have a nice farm and tend to the rabbits will suffice with your uncle.
I didn't lose it on you, I just responded to your endless needling.
I get riled up sometimes.
Happens.
I've mentioned my uncle situation before.
My fathers brother.
Last of the Mohicans basically.
Everyone else on that side of the Family is Dead.
Have to fight to the death to protect him.
I don't talk about it in every post.
I deserve you giving me shit if I have offended you and you have a beef with me.
I didn't realize that was the case.
No big deal.
Here is another picture of people Getting Some in a Wall Tent.
They have obviously packed a bunch of gear and it looks like they towed in a trailer of some sort.
Wall Tents can last from 20 to 30 years or more if cared for properly.
As I said before, they crush any other option financially speaking and can be heated in negative degree weather and you can set up a pop up shower with them.
RVs and Hotel Rooms can counter with many pros but will cost you 10x or more.
My reason for the RV is because my uncle will be camping with me and it is about his comfort.
Thanks Tableplay... Cheers!
I do tend to try to push people in a positive play situation from time to time.
I also have no problems doing it publicly.
I don't believe in secret society forum bullshit.

Maybe you could hire some sherpas.
Thanks for the education.
I never heard that word before.
A bit out of my element as they seem to be more about climbing mountains.
Also located in the most mountainous regions of Nepal in the Himalayas.
I'm guessing we have our own Native American version of this though.
My problem is I can't even get along with people on an interweb forum let alone hiring someone to camp with me
I'm not easy to get along with but I tend to be loyal these days.
Wall tents are fine I suppose for an extended stay, but for shorter stays where comfort and ease of set up are important it is hard to beat an overland rooftop tent.
It is attached to the roof of your 4X4 and expands up and out when set up, and collapses flat when done.
What, Me Worry?
I don't usually respond to you but this time I will make an exception.
Maxpen had already directed me into this idea.
I had to dismiss it because my uncle will never be able to climb that ladder with his bum hip/leg these days.
Also he pisses 2 to 4 times a night.
Complete and Utter Disaster for my situation.
OK then, move on to plan B: offroad camper trailer.
Next time you get up to $80K or so drag your gamblin' butt out of the casino and down to an RV dealer: even a disabled older relative should be able to get in on the fun with one of these.
What, Me Worry?
