Note that I'm 60, ahead, and, 06, backward. I guess, one for each way to read 1961, a strobogrammatic numeral. And, that the only(?) other way to do something like this would have been to have three a's changed to 4's, for 444, the current page numeral less one. Note as well, that this particular university appeared in my previous post, on the previous page, p. 444.

The Daily Home is a daily newspaper serving the Talladega County and St. Clair County, Alabama areas. Originally begun as a weekly in 1867 it was called Our Mountain Home until daily production began in 1909 at which point the name was changed to The Talladega Daily Home. In 1965 the paper was purchased by Consolidated Publishing a local company which also publishes the Anniston Star and several local weeklies. The name was changed to The Daily Home when an office was opened in Sylacauga and coverage expanded to include all of Talladega County. In 1980 an office was opened in Pell City and the coverage expanded to its current circulation area.

The Daily Home is the oldest continuously circulating newspaper in the two counties and one of the oldest in the state. It is the leading paper for the two county area. Every year the Daily Home is a major sponsor of the local Pell City Block Party.

Any theories on why redietz is so unhinged on this point?

Maybe he feels personally threatened by the idea of being dismissed after a casual google search?

More than a theory: I'll give you the answer.

Redietz correctly believes that the failure of a casual google to find proof that Alan interviewed a plethora of presidents is not determinative.

Listen kids, Google does not contain every magazine article or TV video published.

My article on Phantom Unemployment which was mentioned in the LA Business Journal was published in the premier edition of The Washington Journalism Review in 78 or 79. I dont remember. My copy is at my ex's house, kept for my kids. It was never uploaded to the Internet. Google doesnt have it. I was a writer for Barron's in the 1970s and you won't find those articles online either. My articles in the Columbia Journalism Review were also written before the world wide web was invented. That doesnt mean they don't exist.

Redietz' articles exist but they may not be online for the same reasons. And Google doesnt necessarily scan and upload small circulation or specialty publications.

Just because you cant find it doesnt mean it didnt happen.

Rest your little heads and your little minds. Grownups have no reason to lie about little things.

Oh, we do lie. Many times I said I'll pull out.

My, novem is 9 = 3*3. And, 2's are the most significant numerological numeral. But, in moderation, in sync with the 3's.

    Awesome stuff, Smurgerburger!

And you think that belief sufficiently explains the tone and vehemence of his post?

Let me take some of the drama out of your lives... WHEN-TV and WTVJ-TV and KTTV-TV and KCAL-TV (when I was there) did not upload their news videos to Google or the Internet.

And I worked at three of those four TV stations before there was an Internet.

Yeah, well I could string a bunch of capitalized letters together and make claims that can’t be verified OR disproven by a quick google search either buddy. Last time I checked, we were both born in the 20th century also, pal.

Then again that's probably his plan.

I've no problems with Coach Belly but that could be because IIRC we grew up not to far apart: hello, New Jersey attitude.

Big salute for writing for the Columbia Journalism Review. Top of the line.

The galling thing is partly that the youngsters think "googling" is a synonym for "research." And partly that they google without even knowing what algorithms are providing what information and how/why it gets prioritized. The fact is that what info you glean from googling in a limited fashion is handed to you because, as Madonna says, we live in a material world.
