I don't think it's any secret that when Argentino gets embarrassed or is way off base about something or gets particularly brutally exposed, he goes on vacation for awhile and somebody else steps in as relief pitcher. Seems to be a rotation of sorts. It's basic news cycle stuff -- if Argentino accuses someone of something, and clearly has whiffed, he takes a break, and someone else starts commenting about something entirely different. The "entirely different" is also anti-AP, but tries to not reference at all whatever Argentino screwed up.

Works fine if everyone has attention deficit disorder.

I was thinking of doing a video of one session of artt- win or lose- but I don't think anyone would give a rip at my level of play.

I expect your level of play is similar to that of our APs. Redietz is a 25-cent VP player.

Libtard BABS is at it again. Someone put up a psychological profile of Hitler and asked who it reminded people of. The inference was Trump. Boz put up the answer "AMS?" meaning ams288. I read the profile again. I've read a lot of ams posts and it fits him to a tee. Babs said Boz called ams Hitler and gave a suspension. Weak, BABS, very weak. You are either an idiot or totally biased. I have to go with totally biased. Boz did not call ams Hitler. You are a liar. You continue to handle your libtard pets with kid gloves but it's bare knuckles with the conservatives.

Your libtard pets are continuing to use the word moron after you asked them to cease using it. You haven't made a move. Cringing in your basement?

So there is a thread over at Wizardland talking about gambling wallets.

Someone suggested a flat no bend wallet, in a deep front pocket. Mr. Axelwof responded that he didn't like the thumping that makes against his leg (reasonable) and then added that he doesn't have much spare room in that area (fantasy).

Mr. Axelwolf, you are a valuable asset to any site you participate on with all your AP knowledge. You lose credibility when you mix fantasy into reality like this. Don't we have enough people living in a fantasy world reality?

I am not going to get into specifics of things I do. I did that once and paid a price. But a couple ideas I would consider are:

1.) a dummy or "give-up wallet", maybe containing a couple expired credit cards for authenticity (nothing current or current address) and 30-40 bucks. You can make that your tip money wallet.

2.) carry funds in multiple locations on your person. That way you may avoid losing all your funds to one "incident".

These tips aren't just for professional players either. If you frequent casinos, even as a recreational player, you are putting yourself in an environment that attracts thieves and lowlifes.

Yeah right...like THAT's what you meant. Nice try though.

Money belts is what they should be talking about.

Used to use a money belt years ago. It was worn under your pants so every time you needed money you had to go to the john and take your pants down to access the belt. Pain in the ass but effective for prevention.

Credit and a local bank work better IMO.

    Yes, I am!

Note to AxelWolf regarding Mr. Mendelson's post above: No, Mr. Mendelson is not a sockpuppet of mine. I just happen to privately mention things and voila, they appear on the forum. It's amazing, really. I should be some kind of profiler.

  13. #2653
Redietz you posted publicly that you're only a 25-cents DW player.

In fact you also claimed to have a life long profit at it.

Yes, I did, multiple times. I'm ahead a shade more than 5K lifetime playing video poker, with about 80% of the play at quarters. I had dipped down into the 4K bracket, but I hit a royal not long ago at the Fremont of all places, so I am back above the 5K mark.

I like the retro Fremont coffee shop.

So if you posted this multiple times, why did you write this?

People generally tend to mention that someone plays 25-cents video poker as a way to put them in their place or suggest that they aren't, in some sense, really gambling. It's a method to undermine the quarter vp players' credibility or place them in some kind of socio-economic bracket. In a sense, it's an odd socio-economic pulling of rank. Argentino does this. You do this.

Take your mention above. You think slingshot plays at the level of most APs. You mention redietz. You don't mention that redietz wagers a fair amount on this or that, or that video poker represents almost nothing of what redietz wagers. It was an odd statement. Didn't mention anyone else, just me. Didn't mention jbjb or RS or mickey or kewlJ, APs who probably play at levels beyond quarters regularly. In fact, there are no other APs here who claim they play 25-cent vp. So why bring me up as a 25-cent vp player? I don't even consider myself an AP.

Given what you said, it comes across as snarky, maybe an attempt at demeaning. Who knows? It's funny to me because:

    (1) I don't play video poker as some kind of serious earnings attempt. I started playing when sports comps got cut way below race comps. I wanted a couple of free rooms here and there.
    (2) The fact that you take what-could-be-interpreted-as-snarky shots like that (actually, exactly that one) came up in conversation yesterday. Afterwards, you posted right on cue.

You lied. That's what counts redietz. You lied to stir up trouble.

If it's not Singer having proof that you solicited business it's some other remark attacking me.

You lied. And I caught it.

    Now grow up.

  18. #2658
I'm not following you, Mr. Mendelson. You're going to have to point out the lie. I have no blessed idea what you're talking about.

In a PM, I mentioned that you take the occasional odd shots at me for playing 25-cent video poker. Then voila, you immediately thereafter take the same shot. That's not lying. That's precognition.

    You were overdue, I guess.

I'd rather play a 25 cent game with an edge and win money consistently being profitable than be some high rolling, hot shot loudmouth playing a $25 game losing money consistently and have to rely on a job or career for this addiction.

  20. #2660
I'm still trying to figure out what he's talking about. I've always said I played quarter video poker. I've always said why I started playing video poker.

A lot of people find it baffling that someone can play quarters while "gambling" and put substantive amounts on something else while "gambling." There seems to be a perception that one precludes the other. If you understand that "gambling" is just a word, however, it's pretty clear video poker and sports betting (for example) are two completely different things. About as different as riding a pogo stick and flying a plane.
