I was upset with CDC early on because they did lie to prevent mask hoarding. I wound up following their guidelines and wearing gloves (remember touching as a big deal?) and no mask when I flew to LV. At that same time, international doctors, including the South Korea infectious disease head, were saying to wear masks. So I followed CDC instead of international and was really perturbed afterwards. My girlfriend had said I should be following the international protocols rather than U.S. and I didn't listen.

Mcap, what do you mean by flattening the curve being a "lie?"
I too am unhappy with the CDC's and other expert's initial position on masks, but I kind of understand them. There was a mask shortage and probably still is, so I can see prioritizing masks for first responders, health care workers, higher risk occupations and high risk populations. Before the rate of asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic transmission was recognized, I heard a a number of experts suggest that symptomatic people should stay home rather than rely on masks to protect people from them. Unfortunately they didn't explain themselves very well. Now it looks like masks not only protect other people, but offer protection for the wearers as well.

Despite prior messaging misfires, it's currently clear that masks are effective in reducing covid transmission. I've heard this from Trump himself way back in the coronavirus briefing days. The Trump campaign has been selling logo masks for weeks, and Trump himself has been photographed wearing a mask. I've traveled extensively, including during prior pandemics, and have noticed that mask wearing countries have been faring better than we are. I doubt there is more than 10% of the US public that doesn't recognize that masks are at least partially effective.

I want to thank you for bothering to post on this here. I don't follow this enough to support your claim that you've been right all along or every step of the way. I am convinced that you recognized the direction we were headed very early on. I'm hoping for an early vaccine, improved treatments, and reduced transmission rates from widespread mask use. I suspect that you are hoping for the same.

Thanks, wasilla. It's worse than I thought it would be, and that's saying something. I pivoted my blog to the pandemic when I had to figure out a Las Vegas trip back in January/February. As to the predicting what would happen and numbers, all of the blog entries are dated and record my day-to-day with this. So you can check my predictions and attitude over a course of five months as this unfolded.

I'll post a link to the most read of the entries: https://theskepticalgambler.blogspot...ouncement.html

Probably most popular due to the song at the end. By clicking on the right side of the blog, you can access all of the entries back to the beginning. Judge for yourself if I got things right.

I say it about a dozen times in various entries, but I grew up with the Apollo program. Everyone, literally, followed science, respected science, knew science back then. This current state of conspiracy weirdness tinged with civilians thinking they're more expert than experts is, I suspect, partly a result of two decades of internet searches, which are confirmation bias tools of the highest order. If you plug in, "Coronavirus is a hoax," and that's what you prefer to believe, you'll find plenty of copy that supports you. There's a strange insulation and narcissism to it. If you want to believe something strongly, you can successfully prove to yourself that you're right with just a few clicks. And find like-minded individuals.
Wasilla, you haven’t been here long, but RED is directing you to his blog to sell you sports picks. He us a sneaky fucker, but he is always trolling for new customers. If you have the same beliefs as him, he sees you as a prospect.

The guy doesn’t have a true belief either way, but on this site he knows most people are conservatives and not prospective customers. But if he sees a liberal, he sees opportunity.

Singer or whatever your name is, MaxPen has you pegged to a tee. Almost all your attacks and comments are really a projection of your own "short comings". And this is no exception. Despite being descendant from Africans, you very obviously to everyone, feel inadequate in the manhood department, causing you to bitterly lash out time and time again. You, sir are the epitome of Napoleon complex or penis insecurity.

Furthermore what straight man, is so obsessed with the anatomy and size of other males as you and your friend Crimm are? The answer is none!

Welcome back cocksucker. I am assuming you return the favor and suck cock. If not, IÂ’m open to correcting.

If not, welcome back cocksucker and ass fucker. I am assuming you take it in the ass. If not, IÂ’m open to correcting.
I am sure that in certain circles if you say you are open to correcting you will find a leather gag stuck in your mouth and your ass being corrected quite literally.

Since you can't stand black or grey we will call it Fifty Shades of Pink Red.

If you wind up with a knee on your neck we can call it Fifty Shades of Pink Floyd

Sorry, I don’t pass fake money so I doubt I will end up dealing with the police. And I’m sure I’ll never hold a gun to a pregnant lady like your hero George.

So let’s get it out there. Tell us about the half breed kids you have out there. How old are they? Did you have them before you were a big shot Hollywood ? Did you support them while you were homeless? Or were they adults when you became a bum eating out of dumpsters? How is their mom doing today? Why did you split up?

Yes, countryside, lack of vertical cities come into play with smaller countries (which would logically lower virus numbers) It is difficult to compare numbers. But Sweden's model would increase our death rate by 30 percent.
Deech, I agree with you that Covid deaths would be reduced by a total lockdown (which of course is all you are trying to say). However, I think the economic repercussions of a total lockdown would lead to more deaths than those covid deaths avoided through total lockdown. Even the current lockdown repercussions here in the United States will lead to more deaths than those covid-19 deaths avoided by strict lockdown policies to date in my opinion. The lesser of two evils (being a non-lockdown policy) in other words. Time will tell. Unfortunately other VCT forum members will try to conflate a "lesser of two evils stance" in the same vein as "Coronvirus is a hoax and doesn't exist".

Hi Boz. I actually offered RED a Hugo's dinner in March. He was too busy then and hasn't PM'd me. If he sees me as a mark, it is a very long con.

We disagree on a lot, but I don't have a problem with you. We are both recently retired and both like to travel. I love brewpubs. They are like my favorite thing. I'll go to a new city just to wander, and later careen from brew pub to brew pub. I gather you use to own a beer bar/ restaurant. I was impressed when you shared about the profit margin on pizza sales and the cost of using a delivery service. I canceled 4 trips in April. Not because I was afraid of flying. I would have been one of the few people on the plane. I cancelled because the places that I would patronize were closed. I just got back from Vegas last week, but I wouldn't bother going there while the casinos were shut down. I was looking forward to brewery visits in 4 different states, but they were closed.

I think that mask wearing is effective in deterring virus transmission. I even think that this would make many closures unnecessary. I'm not the brightest person on this board and don't have a medical degree. I have, however, spent a lot of time in many countries getting better results than we are, try to listen critically to experts, and look at data.

I'm hoping that we both will soon be enjoying great food and beer around the country. I think that you are a decade younger than I am, and don't mind telling you that I have more fear over an infection than you express for yourself. It isn't keeping me from leaving the house, but is limiting what I do. This isn't unusual for me though. When I traveled internationally, I would visit countries pre or post civil war, but never actually visited a war zone.

I appreciate your response. At least we pushed some information out to the public. For the record, please help me understand your unique fourth dimensional graphs (kidding about the dimension). Damn, I am losing my math IQ.

I believe you are referring to the Buffalo Diamond graph. In that one (from memory, I haven't gone back and re-read my post) , I used the data Mickey was kind enough to post for the 75c denom. Think of it as the original X (2x banked games) and Y(3x banked games) graph, but with dimension 3 (vertical/Z) axis showing what the EV is at that spot - with the basic X/Y graph, the player just knew when the 2x and 3x banked games made it a positive play, but not the magnitude of that positivity - so I just added a 3rd dimension to try and capture that aspect.

    Cheers, TP.

Its understandable that KJocchio is concerened with it but now Comrade Dietz has jumped into the fray about dick size. I suspect these two have been trading notes (ahem). Looks like Comrade Dietz has been secretly slipping into Las Vegas to see KJocchio. Maxpen the Penis Sucker is bound to be jealous as hell.

Oh yes, and Comrade Dietz. That was a good one about CNN "experts" being better than Fox News "experts." Hahahahaha!!!! Of course you gave no examples. Hahahahaha!!!! We all know why. Hahahahaha!!!!!

You can watch liberals debate conservatives all day long on Fox News. When was the last time you seen that on CNN. Like, never, right? Hahahahahaha!!!! And you think you are well informed? Hahahahaha!!!!

I love the fact that Monet, a longtime Las Vegas AP is willing to honestly and knowingly confirm what making that type of lifestyle decision is really all about. Notice how every time he drops another adjective about the AP life, he never gets pushback from the alleged proud AP gang. The same gang always trying to convince the rest of us anonymous people who they know nothing about of how stupid we are and how envious we must be.

Without knowing anything about AP’ing, and no need to care about it, it’s obvious to us looking in from the outside that most people doing it are living life in the fast lane, with no type of a safe and secure future. A normal life today could last a good 8 or 9 decades with endless obstacles along the way. Especially with a family. Counting on casino marketing and gambling math, “gambling math” explains why full-time gamblers automatically come with a pre-determined bad reputation throughout the world opinion.

Just listen to what the anonymous all-stars like Kewlj, AxelWolf, and Dark-Ass have been saying for years while talking out of their lying anonymous asses on these anonymous sites. I say lying because if the only proof you have is other anonymous bullshit artist, hustling snake, two-timing, scamming, lying, cheating con-artists, (let’s throw in Sad Shack) you absolutely confirmed you have nothing.

Then when something serious comes up, they want to chime into the conversations like some type of righteous voice of well-educated reasoning. What makes it special is its anonymous bullshit artists, hustling snakes, two-timing, scamming, lying, cheating con-artists, trying to convince other anonymous people.

Endless entertainment sites like this one are priceless.

"Argentino" is an Italian surname. Italians are of Hispanic origin. Hispanics are an offshoot of negros. Rob is a negro!

  13. #5253
You could make the argument that Italians are closer to Negroid than Caucasian, but Hispanic is not a race, and Italians are by no means Hispanic! You're perhaps confusing the word Hispanic with Latin.

If you're going to demonstrate lack of knowledge about the stock market and casino gambling, and at least be on track with something you have to say.

Stick to your phony stock picks.

You wouldn't recognize a five hundred dollar bill if it landed in front of you, any more than you could recognize a stock trading account, or get your facts right about races. Every time you open your mouth you show your ignorance.

I doubt someone like you who has never logged into a stock account could hold on to a five hundred or thousand dollar bill long enough to figure it out anyway. You want to see one of my thousands? I collect money like you collect ignorance.

What's the use anyway. Go back to thinking that Hispanic is a race. I have work to do.

In any case, race doesn't matter as much as patterns and thoughts. In Europe for example there are dark races - blacks - but they weren't mistreated and enslaved in the past and weren't subject to prejudice ever since, so they act and think just like anyone else, and the color of their skin doesn't matter.

The color of one's skin doesn't really matter - how one acts and thinks does. But in reality, the way society treats a person sometimes ends up making him a product of his race.

Be-genius Crimm, declares himself the genealogist expert on this forum, and then posts a wikipedia page, backing his claim.

This is right up there with taking a picture of a Newell (complete with squeegy) at the dealership and a phony bill of sale (no company logo, same handwriting). You can't make this stuff up.

    Wasilla,

The blog site has no mechanism for selling anything and no ads, and you don't have to sign up or leave a name or stuff like that. It's completely non-commercial.

And I should mention, since it slipped Boz's mind, that if you can locate any posts, PM's, emails, texts, or calls from me trying to sell anybody anything on forums or via email or phone, I have a 5K reward available. I've been offering that for more than a year and I guess I haven't been able to get the word out enough, as there are no takers. It's a shame, as I've been on the LVAdvice forum since it began (same name), the Las Vegas Advisor forum since it began (same name), this forum, anyway, help get the word out. The 5K is burning a hole in my pocket.

I have to warn you, though. I'm all about the long con. That's why I posted 2500 times here without mentioning what I do. I like to schmooze people and then -- KABOOM -- I hit 'em with the hard sell. Works every time. But I make them sign an NDA so they can't tell people what an evil liar I am. I learned that from The Art of the Deal.

    IGNORE.
    That's a $500 bill not a thousand.

I admit I have never seen one as they are very rare.

But it seems curious that photo the bill says $500 denomination in the corners but $300 in large print center right.

    Is that correct?
