What gets me all excited is the Seasoned Wok in that video.

On another observation, I've seen better but it's better than most.

This guy shows a day or two method on how to get a good season on your Wok and the Metal Part of the Handle.
Of course, over time it should get darker and darker with seasoning.
You could go crazy and buy a very expensive handmade wok but a wok like he shows here is plenty good and about 60 dollars.
If you buy the exact Wok in his video it is 36 dollars currently at Williams Sonoma.
It also comes with a ring, which at this price point, is a steal.
I think the important thing is to get one without any or little coating as possible.
That stuff can be difficult to get off.
This process is important because you will run into rust problems if you don't fully season.

What I do want to say is that owning a Carbon Steel Wok, that you maintain, is most likely unnecessary for MaxPen.
Not only for him but most home kitchens in general, especially in America, because of the difference in our stovetops.
Although, I love my Cast Iron Cookware I would stay away from a Cast Iron Wok because of the weight.
A Wok made of Teflon is a great choice for someone who doesn't really care that much.
Technically, they won't really be stir frying with it so it's not much different than using any other Teflon Pan.
For the most part a Wok is a luxury item unless you are going to use it as your primary cooking pan.
I have a couple of Circulon Symmetry Hard Anodized Nonstick Frying Pans for my wife because its just easy for her.
I personally prefer my Cast Iron or Stainless Steel Pots and Pans.
Like I say I just enjoy cooking and its a bit of a hobby which is why I have more than needed.
Some people collect baseball cards.
I tend to buy too many kitchen items.

MaxPen has far too much comp I suppose and probably doesn't care about spending hours in the kitchen.
Many items in my kitchen are unnecessary.
Sort of like when I bought a jeep.
I thought I needed it and a month afterwards I realized it was just a big toy that wasn't practical.

Actually, I made quad deuces in the first 10 minutes of play last night but it was on 2 dollar bonus poker deluxe.

Just took a look at the WOV forum. That place could be worse than the content here.

For example, thread name “$16.00 dollars on hard 16 promotion.” It’s being offered in some Indian casino in California. If you’re dealt a hard 16 against a black-jack you win 16 dollars automatically. (I think)

So far there are around 20 posts already including Shank coughing up all sorts of mathematical statistics without even knowing factual rules. Instead of one of the idiots finding out the rules, they just carry on with possible assumptions.

But your reply just goes to show how prescient I was with my comment.
There's not much of a chance of me ever having a wok like that.Because I know that all that prep is not for me. Doesn't mean that I don't appreciate the artistry of the preparation and what can be accomplished with such a fine tool. If I ever wind up with a wok like that it would most likely stay sitting somewhere untreated. With me dreaming of what could be every time I come across it.
That's why I'm fucked when I see shit like that. I will sometimes go buy the "wok" and then, of course, do nothing with it.
