There was some talk about thread views and what not over at wizard of Vegas and I believe here.
I don't know how it works here but I think I tested it once or twice and it seems they're miscounted, and by that I mean.... different actions create a view. Again, I really don't know 100% how it works here I have since forgot exactly how I tested it and what the results were so I'll let someone else like Dan investigate the site and how the views are counted. I could be completely wrong. There always seemed to be a hundred thirty-five people or so viewing this site I'm not sure how that's possible. It's not really important to me.
Over at wizard of Vegas The View counts are all f***** up. Any action that you make while on a thread creates a view count. If you click the thank-you button it creates a view count, if you edit a post it creates a view count, if you click the formatting codes it creates a view count, if you click the back button create the view count, if you click the forward button it creates a view count, if you click the next page it creates a view count, if you quote somebody it makes a view count, if you edit something it makes a view count, if you click the next page that creates a v account, using the refresh button creates of the account. I'm sure there's lots more things that create view counts and I might be wrong on one or two but you get the point. Again, this isn't something that's very important to me. I'm sorry to burst Tasha's bubble when she assumed hundreds of thousands of people were reading her thread but it turns out it's only like 20 people. I wouldn't doubt if RS created a click bot in order to boost views.
