But let's clarify. I am guessing they didn't direct deposit the funds into your account and you sent it back (as I did with a second payment). So your situation was treasury had no deposit info on you and in order to get the payment you needed to go to the IRS site, click the provide payment information button (or whatever it was called) and submit your payment information. And you refused to do this on principal. Is that about right? If so please see my first line of this post again.
You're goddamn right the Government doesn't have my bank information. Principle*, and yes, basically.
You know there are other options. You could have them mail a check or they have started offering debit cards (which are also mailed).

But if it is principal and you don't want the money, power to you. I guess as a tax payer, I will say thank you.

You're welcome and I don't. If they find a way to all but make me take it, I'll donate it to some food-donation or blood-donation related cause. Probably food because the latter already gets plenty of my sweet, sweet, O- blood. lol

If you gave the bank your SSN to open the account, the Government most assuredly does have or can easily get your account info.

Assuming what you mentioned is quahaug's theory - still, nearly three million votes are statistically quite difficult to overcome just by voter turnout. Which I believe you are agreeing that it would be very hard to even out no matter what.

Looking back, numbers only (don't have time to run % wise against US Pop at the time), looks like the highest winners were Nixon v. McGovern, 1972, almost 18M ahead by popular vote, Reagan v. Mondale, 1984, about 17M, and Johnson v. Goldwater, 1964, about 16M.

BUT looking at times popular vote did not decide the election, the 2016 almost -3M votes against Trump were the highest ever by an exponential factor...highest others were G W Bush v. Gore, 2000, about -500K, Hayes v. Tilden, 1876, about -250K. That's really lopsided losing by three million votes and being elected.
Hayes v. Tilden was probably quite lopsided voter population relative, safe theory, but I don't feel like figuring out the specific effective percentage.
I'm an idiot, in case you guys didn't know, the percentage is right there for me. Tilden won the popular vote by 3% nationwide compared to 0.5% for Gore and 2.1% for Clinton.

So, when it comes to percentage, Tilden/Hayes was the biggest disparity of the three. Of course, it was also the closest in Electoral Votes with Hayes winning by only one. Perhaps most wild is the fact that all Electoral Voters remained faithful.

It looks like Tilden really ran up the score in the mid-South and Missouri whereas Hayes won only three states with more than 60% of the vote and none of the three represented a ton of voters.

You are not helping by not collecting the money.
If you really wanted to help someone or make a difference this is the best way...
You collect all the money offered by the Government which is just a Tax Rebate if you have paid taxes in your lifetime.
Even if you haven't paid the IRS you still have paid plenty of taxes and or hidden fees/taxes.
Anyways... collect everything and take that money over to the homeless or your choice of person(s) struggling.
You either give them the money directly or bring them food and or pay their bills.
It is better for you to help someone directly, person to person or hand to hand rather than trust the Government or some Charity.
However, that is most likely too much leg work for those that claim they are helping.
The money is going to go to somewhere if you do not collect it and most likely to someone who doesn't need it, so if you don't collect, you are actually doing less good.
That is to say compared to collecting every dollar and redistributing it to the persons in need of your choice.

If you remember the democrats were screaming that they weren't included in the drafting of the initial bill.

Pretty hypocritical for someone on Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid to even have the balls to say anything about the "government tit". While I don't consider Social Security and Medicare, welfare programs, they are most certainly government socialist programs, one even having the word in the name.

Medicaid IS a welfare program. And there is no doubt Mickey is or was on Medicaid, when he went through his heart attack and extended hospital stay. He can deny it if it makes him feel better, but there is a caseworker at the hospital, associated with the hospital that signs and helps sign anyone in Mickey's position, up for Medicaid.

So just shut up Mickey and stop judging everyone and being such a douche bag, you hypocrite.
Social Security is an investment that, like millions of others, I made. Sure, I didn't have a choice. The government made me invest. Money came out of every paycheck. I'm now cashing in on the investment having reached the age where I'm eligible. That's not welfare, KJocchio. I paid for it.

Now, you seem to have some special knowledge that not many people know. A caseworker coming around to "sign people up for medicaid." How would you know that? It's a no brainer. And how would you know what "my position" was at the time? You don't. You just make the shit up as usual, KJocchio.

Medicaid payed for your heart operations. Isn't that right, KJ the Welfare Queen? Who were you calling a hypocrite? Take a look in the mirror, KJocchio.

Damn, Dog, you're not that dumb are you. I was talking about the 92 election with Bush, Clinton and Perot. Clinton beat the incumbent with 43% of the popular vote. KJocchio thinks I dumbed the number down. No, I used memory which was slightly off. KJocchio once again dishoners himself making up bullshit on someone.

More made up bullshit by prevaricater KJocchio. The $600 was thrown in by Dems and Republicans allowed it in order to get a bill through. But I blame asshole republicans for it too. It's created a situation where people are drawing more in unemployment than they were working....and don't want to go back to work.

One thing is for sure. Two-thirds of the people working cannot sustain paying for the one-third not working. Something must change or this country is headed for a major depression.

OH, how stupid is it that KJ thinks all the looting and burning of Liberal areas of the country is creating votes for democrats. It's just the opposite. They are running those liberal democrat business owners over to the republican party. KJocchio is a special kind of stooooooooooppiiiiiiiiiddddddd!!!!!

Right, but as I mentioned above Clinton WON in 1992, and with about 6 million MORE votes.

I assume your mentioning "But someone once won with 41%" had something or other to do with Trump, who LOST (the popular vote) with 3 million LESS votes, which is why I couldn't see the relevance or connection to Trump's victory.

If what you were getting at was that Trump could again lose the popular vote, get only 41% and still win, that would be statistically so improbable as to be nearly impossible - or at least, nothing close to that has ever happened. When Trump won in 2016, he got about 46% of the vote, no?
I tell you it’s wonderful to be here, man. I don’t give a damn who wins or loses. It’s just wonderful to be here with you people.

That's correct and I guess could be possible with a really great third-party showing overall. For my part, I'm simply expecting Trump to outperform 41%.

Misleading, Dog. Don't get me wrong. In both elections I supported Bill Clinton. Perot siphoned off 20 million votes from the two candidates. Perot was a conservative and supported Republicans but of course not George Bush in 1992. If not for Perot, Bush 41 would have been a two term president and who knows what would have become of Bill Clinton.

For the record I have not received a dime of coronavirus money nor have I actively sought it out. If it lands in my account I will give it away. Most likely to my family.

I am sure you would love that to be the case, Mickey, but it is not. I have health insurance. Had it prior to both my operations. Had it for my partner.

Back in Philadelphia, I broke my collarbone twice skateboarding and rollerblading. At the time, I didn't have much money, and was building my BR, so I didn't have health insurance. After those two medical bills, which weren't huge....no hospital stay or anything, but I paid cash for, I decided I should have medical coverage, because an AP that gets hurt or sick is going to have loss of income and then medical bills on top. Kind of a double whamy. I have had health insurance ever since. In my case with 2 heart operations, it has been a great investment.

The one year Anniversary of my being banned from WOV for that infamous one time cussing rant happened almost two weeks ago. I honestly thought I would be getting a one month Suspension for that fed up cussing rant which I apologized for multiple times.

Take comfort in the fact that no one is actually backing up his wishes to have you permanantly banned.

I don't see how liberal business owners will move to Republican because of the looting.

Why wouldn't the leader of the country in the middle of race riots and looting (with a history of making racist comments) not be blamed by liberal business owners.

Flipping it, if a bunch of right-wing business owners were looted by 2nd amendment gun owners during a democratic presidency do you believe they would blame the party and vote Democrat?

I highly doubtful that. Pretty certain they would blame the Dem president. Likewise I am pretty certain Dem business owners who have been looted will not be switching their beliefs over this

Tasha, you've had a lot of one year Anniversaries today (or close to today), so this is kind of a special day for you. Congratulations on all your one year anniversaries!

I hope we can keep celebrating all your anniversaries with you every year, and you don't go off a make any more sock puppets and get banned permanently. As I'm sure you know, you've got a lot of fans on this site.
