I find this very hard to believe. I'd be shocked if there is a casino in the United States of America that will let you hit again after splitting Aces.

Did they change the rules at the casinos referenced in the Jan 2019 article below?

At the Kewadin casinos in northern Michigan, the player has the choice to either double or stand after splitting aces. They allow doubling for less, as long as the double bet is at least $5.

I was just about to comment on that.

For anyone not familiar, I think it is fair to say many of us believe MarcusClark to be a sockpuppet of Mdog. If not an outright sockpuppet, some kind of associate that Mdog is feeding what to say.

So MarcusClark who learned how to beat baccarat from Mdog and has posted about nothing but winning since he joined in June has been suspended for lying and making untrue statements after Wizard investigated. I mean there is a lot to be said there because for Wizard to investigate Mdog in the same manner and shut down his intentional lies is exactly what most of us have been screaming about for over a year.

But anyway. as part of Wizards announcement on banning MarcusClark, he wrote the following "Going forward, in the tradeoff between free speech and truthful information, I plan to bend a bit in favor of truthful information. I will grant immunity to all posts prior to 2/2/22, so please don't request reconsiderations of other members. Thank you."

I take that to mean (and hope that it means) that Shackleford is not going to go back and take any action on all Mdogs past claims, but that maybe times are a changing and the free ride is over. Am I hoping and reading more into it than I should? I guess time will tell.

Maybe Shackleford wants consideration of doing an objective Mdog interview. He is welcome to try (I can't stop him), but I have zero confidence he would really be objective and ask the right questions that need to be asked. I don't even want to guess where Shackleford comes in on Ozzy's list.

You don't like Shackleford's interview with Singer because it led to Singer being exposed and you admire Singer and his trolling.

The fact is Shackleford made Singer feel at ease, figuring Singer would say something to expose himself which he did, when asked for some sort of proof. Singer came up with that he had spent the money on an RV and then set out to prove it by driving to the RV showroom and talking a selfie with a Newell shower squeegee.

The behind the scenes discussion on this between Wizard, the Mods, MDawg and Marcus would be amazing to know the details of. There is definitely more at play here than we got from Wiz’s public statement. It does appear OD was the one doing the dirty work exposing the lies about the game in the picture. Since he visits here and occasionally posts it would be nice to hear from him, but I’m sure he can’t comment. Something also made Wiz then determine all of his claims were BS so they accounted to trolling to the point of a ban. Very few other than socks or spammers have been nuked without a suspension over the years.

I think I have been leading the charge that Marcus was a Mdog sock or at least one of several very adamant about that. Now here is the thing. It may not be a sock puppet in the traditional sense that we have come to know, one member creating a second account, the likes of Tasha/nathan, or Singer/Jerry Logan or Moses and several of his imaginary friends.

The Marcus sock may be more that he is a separate person, in a separate location, but I still refer to it as a sock puppet because it is someone, like a friend or family member working with the original member (in this case Mdog) being fed what to say, to lend credibility to that original member when there is no real person that is backing or giving that credibility.

And Marcus escalating his claims of late, boy that is exactly the M.O. of Mdog. Traditional sock or someone that Mdog is controlling, I still call this account of Marcus a sock puppet.

I've no axe to grind at WoV, I enjoy posting there, and I've met / broken bread with Mike and think he's a good guy.

I do miss the former "math-based" overall feel of the place.

My comments / criticisms seem sound and are made solely for "the good of the order."

I've blocked douchedawg for months and only get to read his screeds when others quote him, but he's the burr under the forum's saddle and so long as he's there WoV will be less than it could and should be.

Marcus put out the minimum required $5 bet to take another card (AKA "hit").

At the Kewadin casinos in northern Michigan, if it's a min double they commonly use the term "hit", since the player is not doubling his bet.

The player doesn't have to signal or announce "double" , "double for less" or "hit" at the table, the distinction is only relevant after the outcome of the hand.

His decision is evident by his betting action, and the lack of a "stand" gesture.

Essentially, you can buy one more card for table minimum. And don't confuse this with Spanish 21 where you can continually hit on split aces without any additional bet.
