Hmmm...let's see...Say I am a lawyer and then am elected judge.
When I am on the bench conversting with lawyers about my exploits before becoming a judge, would it be appropriate for them not to address me as "Your honor," as we'd be discussing events which previously occurred?
I think not: same with this pronoun business: "You takes em as you finds em NOW."
