Coach, your offer is a tad "ambiguous:" please state the specific terms of the wager you offer as well as the amount you are willing to bet, and I will respond.
I assume you are willing to bet that I was born in 1954 and that I graduated HS in 1972?
*sips coffee, pets blind, aged, senile cat*
What, Me Worry?
I am willing to wager any amount that you require to settle the wager in person.
I am willing to bet anyone that my algorithm is correct...namely that you were born in 1954 & 1972 HS grad year.
Even money that I am correct within 1 year on both.
Loser pays me 2-1 that I am correct within 2 years on both.
Oh, a two year spread?
Not happening, I do not accept those terms, nor a bet including that range.
I'd only bet on a sure thing, i.e. were you willing to bet that I was born in 1954 and graduated HS in 1972 I'd take that bet, but not otherwise.
Meanwhile I'm waiting for Spike to weigh in, hat in hand, weaseling his way out...his mouth writes checks he can't cash.
What, Me Worry?
Coach, are you willing to bet that I was born in one of those three years: '53, '54 or '55?
If I proved I was born in a year other than any of those three I'd win, but if not you'd win, correct?
AND I would get to name the bet amount?
Let's assume arguendo that I accept: what would you suggest be done to resolve the bet, given your desire to "settle the wager in person?"
I'll certainly listen to any proposal but given the amount of bullshit people have spewed on these forums I'd be reluctant to, hypothetically, agree to terms, travel to an agreed location and be stood up, or even worse, not get paid if I won.
Oh, where's Spike?
That jackoff is so cock-sure of himself you'd think he'd be all over the wager.
*crickets*
lest we forget...
What a fucking dildo this schmuck is.

The science you mean like prescribing cigarettes for throat problems in the 1920s lmao. How about the weed science lol yeah dumb fuck it’s totally safe for you. Or how about let’s follow the food pyramid and eat all those whole grains Lol. Yeah believe modern human science to explain GOD it’s totally been around for long enough. Billions of years right lol. GOD is outside of everything the known universe is made of. Simulation theory is basically nerds trying to cover all possible scenarios.
Imagine thinking modern science disproves the existence of god when they were giving people cigarettes for throat cancer not that long ago. Go smoke another “perfectly safe” bowl of weed loser
Literally if everyone lived by the Ten Commandments the world would be perfect. It’s not hard to comprehend. Instead we have Women who rather vote to kill their a16 week or 8 month old mold babies , and freaks like fraudJ licking the assholes of other men jerking off to not ever having a family. Yeah what a nice world we have with less Christianity.
V, try looking at your dilemma this way: if there weren't a God, an exceptional individual such as myself would not be here in the otherwise superior manner I am. All your personal weed-driven tribunals and rejectionist choices have no real explanation for the science that might even begin to dispute that.
Most educated, common sense-based folks understand that something beyond simple science has been going on here....and maybe not just "here" within the endless universe or even within billions of years. The inexplicable wonder of the human body; the millions upon millions of different species of life on this planet; the PERFECT ALIGNMENT and movements of our planet, our moon, and our sun (which is a bewildering and truly incomprehensible mass in it's own right); the precise temperature range needed across "Earth" to sustain all this life.....things like all this coming together in exquisite harmony just don't "happen out of the blue".
People like yourself have been trying to use "science" as an excuse to explain your reason for hopelessness both during your existence, as well as once your awareness ends the day your body stops its miraculous work. But just as believers cannot prove anything that would allow atheists and agnostics to see the light, neither are you people able to "explain it all away" with proof.
For believers, is God a being of some sort, a machine, a spiritual state of mind, a thought, or what? Of course, no believer has any real idea other than what they "hope" it to be. But you should be able to figure this much out--attempting to apply valid answers to questions like "how did time start, or was it always there?" and "how far out does space go, and is there some massive black whole or wall at the end of it and if so, what's on the other side of THAT?" and "if my parents never met, would this realization and awareness that I experience in the course of this "life" be the same if I were born to different parents?"
Conclusion: believers, while not ever able to offer any real proof of their belief, do apply extraordinary effort in order to be at peace with their hopes and beliefs. Atheists are lazy sons of bitches.
One more glimmer of wisdom for you MrV: are we to believe that our non-existence prior to our birth, is the same nothingness as what folks like you believe--that once our lives end we cease to exist period?
Somehow--and I am unable to elaborate--that scenario just doesn't square.
My rejection of orgainized religion is the culmination of being force-fed Catholic liturgy while growing up, and eventually concluding "WTF?"
The notions of Virgin Mary, angels, purgatory/original sin, holy ghost...all are wholly unsupported by FACT, and are actually only OPINION or BELIEF.
As a kid I didn't have the mental sophistication / world-view to seriously question these and other religious tenets, but as I hit my teens and developed my critical thinking skills I quickly concluded "This does not compute" and consigned it to the slag heap.
I later did discover zen Buddhism, or simply zen: I am not a Buddhist but I enjoy reading zen stories to help give me the clearest lens through which to live my life: see the link to "101 Zen Stories."

I recognize and have previously posted that there are fundamental things that boggle the mind and for which science has no satisfactory explanation, e.g.:
If matter cannot be created or destroyed, where did it come from?
Time: Logically it can have had no beginning: how can this be?
If there is a fundamental force, call it god if you will...where did it come from?
Deep, unanswered queries, yet I need not grasp a bearded, cloud-wrapped security blanket after asking them.

Anyone who has experience in the world knows that there is more out there than is dreamt of in your philosophy.
Non-believers just haven't had any spiritual or miraculous experiences is all.
Actually one (formerly non-believer) friend of mine had an experience after he was almost killed (was actually dead for a while) that brought him to tears just recounting it and in his case the physical evidence backed up his vision. What he saw didn't have anything to do with an afterlife per se (other than that he did see something) but to do with things that he could not have seen normally and went beyond the walls where he was physically confined in the emergency room. An out of body experience that was backed up by hard evidence.
In general non-believers think everything inexplicable happens/happened randomly / by chance.

I tell you it’s wonderful to be here, man. I don’t give a damn who wins or loses. It’s just wonderful to be here with you people.

But what GOOD is religion in the world?
All it has ever led to is WAR.
Muslim v Jew currently.
Most wars have been fought over religion, i.e."My invisible being is the only real one, yours is a sham...die, infidel dog."
Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Lol! Typical flimflam man scam, say you'll wager an obscene amount of money over something trivial and stupid knowing that nobody in their right mind would take you up on it and think you're making a point. The point you're making is you don't ever want to meet anyone and you sure as hell don't want anyone to know what your true age is. The circumstantial evidence you've posted over the years definitively points to you being in your mid to late seventies. Case closed.
