Maybe you could position yourself at a convenient spot where the cars entering and leaving the casino access the roadway: hold up a cardboard sign reading to the effect "Busted out, anything helps. God bless."

I see many people in Portland doing something like that, usually at freeway offramps, (but they don't say "busted out") so I guess it must work.

As a fallback of course there is always the world's oldest profession, which I assume has been quite effective for many gamblin' lasses.

I don't know exactly what he does, but I have read enough to know that his play follows the basic formula or principals of advantage play. And that is you find something that has a return greater than 100%, make sure you are getting an honest game (meaning not being cheated) and put in enough trials to overcome any possibility of negative variance preventing you winning. And with enough trials your results will be pretty close to expectation, less whatever mistakes you make. That is all advantage play is, no matter what exactly the AP is doing to get that advantage (better than 100% return).

On the other side of these discussions are players that claim all sorts of things that defy that very math. Every branch of the long disproven voodoo gambling tree is represented, from progression wagering overcoming the math, to "special plays", to all sorts of betting systems that enable a player to won by "betting into hot streaks", (or cold streaks....martingales). Also included is that short term positive variance can be duplicated over and over. Basically every voodoo gambling concept under the sun vs the mathematics.

So that discussion is just de ja vue all over again. (Yogi Berra)

What is interesting is that Mdawg in his ever trolling way, immediately jumped to a slang definition of "mental" equating to retarded, as in "he is mental he is retarded".

The actual definition of mental is relating to the mind or of the mind, meaning his name or handle is a reflection of a cerebral approach to winning based on the math. Again, this is what advantage play is.

AinQ, we are doing a lot of traveling working a play right now, but I have been home this weekend. Heading out on another trip tomorrow. Looks like this forum is thriving without me posting regularly. VCT is as a live and vibrant as our presidential candidates (both of them), including the guy that can't stay awake during his trial.
