The tax thing has came up a few times already on here and at WoV but for some reason it got more backlash this time. Nobody has to believe it but many of the players out here for 15+ years throw all those W2s away. Recently a guy I know got hounded a bit and they said he owed over 2 million. Long story short he still has a lean on him but all he has to do is file now which he does. He didn't go to jail... He didn't lose his house... He doesn't keep anything in banks so nothing happened there. Street Guys live different than Squares.
I think people should be more careful in Vegas these days. People seem to be snapping. We had that guy go crazy at the Mandalay Bay and now some Dealer decided to shoot up some executives. Honestly the way this town operates I am surprised we haven't had many more issues. The truth is Vegas has always had problems with armed robbery and other things but the city does a good job at hushing it up. They did better years ago but these days it is hard to keep things quiet. Just get ready because the grave is coming very soon for all of us and you never know when. Recently I have had 3 family members go bloop in the last 2 years. It shouldn't be long for me either I think I have something growing pretty good in my body with a nice lump and some odd pain... oh well... I never wanted to live forever. We all have to take the ride eventually... sometimes I figure why wait!?
Someone told me you should end on a high note. Well... The Knights did sweep the Kings so that was great. I am going to have to shell out some dough for the next series because going to the hockey games here are just plain fun! They charge double here for what LA was charging online. That is the only downside. I have never seen tickets to sporting events be so high compared to this team in Vegas. I am guessing Raider Tickets are going to be crazy after they build that new Stadium. Football isn't like Hockey though in person. I find Football to be better on TV compared to watching Live Hockey. I guess because of how much smaller and enclosed hockey arenas are.

This most elementary of machine AP was already disappearing because the Vegas casino market was already tightening up. So the last thing I wanted was Monet to hasten that demise with public posting. And YES, public posting does change things. That has been proven on numerous sites. Casino industry people read and participate on these sites. Sometimes openly like Zcore at WoV, usually less openly. On subscription sites like BJ21, casinos actually subscribe.
So, yeah, for selfish reasons, I took it personally when Monet did his thing, which in typical Monet fashion, I think was at least partly about agitating people like me.
For me, this type of supplemental action was dying anyway and now with the passing of my partner, who handled that end of our play, I will be almost eliminating that supplemental stuff and refocusing on my blackjack play, of which I am at heart and still enjoy. Who knows how many years of card counting blackjack play is even left as technology and games change? (although players have been saying that for 50 years now since beat the dealer was published).
Anyway, what I have definitively learned in the past few weeks, is that this site is not going in the direction that I had hoped....the direction that I thought Dan wanted to head. It is what it is, sadly.

But I have been hanging with friends and have managed to secure tickets to both Sixers playoff games (1 win, 1 loss) as well as the Flyers first home game, a loss. I am not a huge fan of either team, neither when I lived here or present (although the Sixers are starting to grow on me). Never been much of a hockey fan, although, The G Knights too are staring to grow on me. I bought a house in Nevada, about 25 miles south of Vegas. The last thing I’ll be doing is running back and forth to Vegas. I’m lucky I could make it through a poker tournament, especially if it’s goes on for more than a day. I have friends and family in Arizona and California, and although Florida is the favorite place for a east coast winter home, I’m not a fan of Florida.
