Its as vague as patricks "3 in a row time to go". Go home? go to eat? go to the parking lot and then come back into the casino? go take a shit and then resume palying?

So we have to "repent" for our sins.So what does that mean? What is gods definition of "repent". And we have to recognize jesus as the son of god who died for out sins. What does that mean. What is the proper recognition.

what if you dont "accept it" in the proper way? Do you go to hell? What if you dont repent in the proper way....do you go to hell.

Is there a proper way to do these things so we are not wasting our time repenting and accepting jesus in the wrong manner? Someone please lay it out. Its a matter of eternity in heaven or hell. Its pretty important.

Christianity is a minority religion in the world......thats a fuck load of people not going to heaven. One minor bone to pick with you though. You state Christianity is a minority religion and I believe (correct me if I’m wrong) it is still number 1 with over 2 billion followers. About a third of the worlds population.

Not sure if he meant Christianity is followed by a minority of the world's population, which is true enough.

There is plenty of historical proof that Jesus lived, died, and at least 500 people saw him in resurrected form. Even children have a concept of sin and that "all have sinned and come short". God sent prophets, leaders to warn people- even "winking"-as the Bible says- at their sin. Finally, he sent His Son and when he was rejected and crucified it was mandated -in His mercy- that all who would repent and believe in His Son would be spared. This gave mankind Free Will to choose. The Holy Spirit?? No matter how much He pricks the heart or pleads, unless one responds He will not force Himself. One final note: repentance means turning away - not saying sorry and continuing in sin.

This is the most offensive post I've ever read. It's really got me thinking about what I'm doing here. I think the cause is lost. The confederacy of dunces is winning. This forum has gone totally back to the sewer. The way of darkness, unenlightenment, bottomless ignorance, and infantile stupidity is winning out here. All threads have been wrecked. Singer has pretty much wrecked the road pic thread. The genealogy thread is now not being used for it's intended purpose. They've all gone to the sewer. The name of the forum is Vegas Casino Talk but you can't write about gambling at all without Singer and his dunce crew wrecking it. And a dopehead lawyer is offending my faith. Blocking the offending parties does no good. They are still free to write offending posts about you or your beliefs behind your back. And they can do it without being challenged by you. It's just not the correct way to do things.

I signed up on Twitter a few days ago and I'm already impressed. If someone offends you then you can block them from following you and seeing your posts and you won't be able to see theirs. This is the way things should be done.

In my teens and early 20s I was a fundamentalist Christian.

In my late 20s and early 30s I was an edgelord fedora-tier atheist.

Now that I'm a little further removed, I'm still an atheist but I understand that, despite the fact that it isn't true, it is evolutionary advantageous for a tribe to believe in it as a whole, that tribes with strong religious beliefs outcompete those who are more rational, and understand the wisdom of the proverb "the simple believe the gods to be true, the wise to be false, and the rulers to be useful".
