In my teens and early 20s I was a fundamentalist Christian.

In my late 20s and early 30s I was an edgelord fedora-tier atheist.

Now that I'm a little further removed, I'm still an atheist but I understand that, despite the fact that it isn't true, it is evolutionary advantageous for a tribe to believe in it as a whole, that tribes with strong religious beliefs outcompete those who are more rational, and understand the wisdom of the proverb "the simple believe the gods to be true, the wise to be false, and the rulers to be useful".

Evolution is a fact of science. That being said, it's probably a fact that should never have been taught to the masses, as it's better to have the masses believe there is something watching them that will reward and punish them even if there is no earthly force watching them, to keep them inclined to behave in ways that benefit the tribe at the expense of oneself rather than vice versa.

I respectfully disagree. Slingshot is correct, there have been no intermediary forms discovered. No missing links. The only evolution that has been observed is “micro” evolution. Hardly explains how man and all living things evolved from a primordial soup.

So when he proclaims ( to monet) the parameters for getting to heaven.....he is indeed putting it out there for everyone to see....and for everone to comment on. If he didnt want everyone to see or comment...then he could send a private message.

Even if its not all "evolution", even ifthere was a "god" as we call it that created some form of life that evolved into what we have today.

There is still no proof thaT

1- its was a benevolent god...(there is more to say from observation that we have a barbaric malevolent god)

2- that the "god" hung around after the first life form was created....maybe he just walked away. He gave us a little push, a little head start with some early forms of life that evolved into what we have today.

There is mass killings of people of various religions throughout the world, there ismass murder, famine, terroism, war, earthquakes, tornadoes, volcanos....individual rapes and murders.
