Mickey, just start the damn book. Right now, Singer's is infinitely more popular. People tell me that they are going to write a book, and I tell them the same things. Had any of them listened to me, their books would, at least, be done. I guess that it's easier to go through life, and tell ourselves would've, could've, should've, when, deep down, we knew all along that the damn book is worthless.

I'm a one hit wonder, right? Look, the only difference between you and Singer that matters is he buggered himself after he wrote his book.

They aren't whispering...they are making sure others can hear....just as people who post on a thread rather than pm are making sure others can read
Actually, some sites don't allow PMing until certain criteria are met. So if people get in the habit of being on sites without PMing, immediate regular post responses aren't necessarily meant to be read and commented on by everyone. Sometimes they are just a comment to the previous poster.

If LarryS posts that he likes Adidas, and I post immediately thereafter that I like a particular brand of Adidas, that is not an invitation for mickeycrimm to say that Adidas sucks and Nike is much better and we're idiots. If a poster intervenes with the comments that we're wrong and idiots, I have to wonder about that poster's reasons. Does he feel obligated to report his version of the truth? Does he feel as if he should educate everyone? Is he so paranoid that he's read the pro-Adidas posts as somehow directed at his love of Nike?
Who are all the people who have no clue that pms are available here.
I have personally received at least one pm from redietz.mickeycrimm.kewlj.dan.
Plus I can site posts where mr v was exposed to the concept of pms here. Alan knows about pms here. Axel once referenced pms here so he knows about them. Oh yeah add monet to the list of pms I received. So who are these people you speak of that are ignorant of pms here....
So if everyone knows about the ability to convey private messages...then by posting public comments they are giving an opening for the public to weigh in.
First redietz wants to debate comments at a party which was something no one wasdebating..and now he offers a weak argument that people are unaware pms are active. A

So I take it, LarryS, that your answer to what I proposed is that, yes, if you say you like Adidas, and I immediately respond that I like a particular brand of Adidas, then it is appropriate for someone to weigh in by saying Adidas sucks and we're idiots. That's the question. I don't want to put words in your mouth, but my interpretation of your oblique response is that yes, telling us we're wrong and we're idiots is appropriate.

For the record, prior to the Super Bowl, I sent LarryS the first and only PM from me. It was a response to his public comment regarding the trend for time-of-first-score in Patriot Super Bowls, I believe. Here it is:

"I actually intended to bet 'No First Score' for 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30. But I backed off for two reasons -- I think each quarterback will take a shot deep early. Eagles because they must; Patriots because they want to impose the threat and set up Cook for shorter routes. And I think Foles may be a nervous wreck, so I would not want the Eagles getting the ball first deep in their own end to start the game."

As an aside to the previous discussions, I was wondering about which of war or peace leads to more long-term benefits for society. Apparently, the internet, nuclear power, and the microwave resulted from war or its planning. I have always thought too, that civil war, when allowed to play out naturally, results in a stronger country. Ha, it would have been/might still be a strange American civil war were other countries involved the way Russia and the States are in theirs now.

It must be nice to get away from the disgruntled house wives. I don't believe he is working on any cars... lawyers pay people to work on cars. Especially divorce lawyers... they are too busy making plans on how they are going to win all the free money from the cheating husband or wife. Heck, the way Mr V is this Frat Rat... lover of hookers and strippers he is probably getting it on with his clients... both male and female. I never seen any real lawyers with grease on their hands... what a crock of BS from Mr V once again. Sure... I am a divorce lawyer who likes to turn wrenches for fun in my off time... whatever!? Let me get this straight... I am a divorce lawyer who likes to gamble on bad games and lose money and buy 60,000 dollar watches but I work on cars for fun restoring them while I read Mad Magazine and whack off to the Wizard of Odds and all his AP/Casino Employee pals at Spring Fling.

the above is what message boards are all about. People state things publicly and others chime in. When they chime in they can do so publicly or via PM privately. They will use the private route if they dont want others to either know what they are saying or comment on what they are saying.

People have the control over whether they want masses of people to respond to what they publicly declare. Its called PM. Its also called shutting the fuck up if you dont want responses to your declarations or opinions.

You answer my questionpublically and you say you like addidas......someone else chimes in that they read that the company uses child labor, and another person chimes in that the company poluted a river in india(totally made upby me for this example).... and all of a sudden there is a discussion . Thats what a message board is all about.

If you dont want people to know what footwear you like....or you only want one response....then PM the comment.

when i read public comments on message boards its not the same as me overhearing a comment as someone is whispering into someone else ear. Now THAT would be inappropriate to comment on. But an openly written comment for all to see ..is fair game to comment on.

You guys are bunch of no class whiny losers with nothing better to do than stick your fingers in your asses then pick your noses with them.

I don't think a lot of people miss the hysterics. It just took a few more of the idiotic "AP's" to bring out their true nature. Bitch, bitch, and bitch some more, unless no one shows up to post something of value. Goodbye, and fuck off to MC, KJ, Boz, and the other fools. You made your bed, now go away, and sleep in it.

Mickeycrimm if you really received a book offer but can't write it yourself I will write it for you for a fee. I will spend a week in Montana for the interviews. All you need to do is show me the contract from the publisher.

im convinced a lot of the "anti AP" crew are themselves APs who don't want the competition
