KJ, props to you on identifying this from the opening gun.

I knew girlfriday was a sockpuppet immediately. When someone posts they have been reading for years and now want to comment on things and not just some very current topics but they want to comment on past topics and members, that is a pretty big red flag. I think Dan expressed something similar.

The problem for me was that while I knew immediately it was a sockpuppet, I was not quite sure who, or even what side of the AP / anti-AP war this sockpuppet was supporting. That was part of the "mis-direct". He threw a little red meat in each direction.

But today, he revealed who he was. He just couldn't help himself. This guy is really lame. Really sad. There are severe mental problems at play here. And those helping him and "in on it" are right there as well.

I remember sitting in a diner in Frackville. My friend, Bob Gardner, had asked me to help him with an English paper. I sat there and talked. He sat across from me, notebook in hand, and I thought he was taking notes. Nope, he was more or less transcribing what I said. Well, the English professor, a Ms. Nancy Stumhoffer, read his paper and called us both into the office. I said, completely truthfully, that I had not written his paper. She didn't believe me. She then said that if he simply went to every class and handed in each paper, she would pass him. That's all Bob needed, as he was scheduled to go into the Marines upon graduation. Bob went to every class and did his papers himself. She gave him an F. I got an A on every paper. She gave me a B.

I think Rob was responsible for those posts.

Do you, Mr.Mendelson, really think girlfriday's opening post is an accurate rendition of what I had to say? I idolize MickeyCrimm? Based on his use of his last name? LOL -- you and I both know that's a Rob tipoff.

Good try, though. Very entertaining. Pass it along to Rob.

Update on girlfriday:

This person tried to explain themselves to me in PM, mostly with a nonsense backstory which proved nothing.

In turn, I asked this person to either let me call them or have them call me. I even offered to let them call me and block their number.

In response, girlfriday claimed her "husband" got mad about this (mad at me for asking a suspicious account holder to call me?), and supposedly hired a PI to "investigate" me.

LOL!!!

Then the person told me that the "investigator" found a small piece of info about me which, shockingly, Rob already had awhile ago. I guess I was supposed to be intimidated or something.

Then the "husband" sent me a PM, telling me that I had better leave his wife alone (what???), or he would have me and others here "fully investigated".

Uh huh.

Anyway, I granted the "husband" his wish. Girlfriday will indeed be left alone, because I banned the account.

I am not intimidated by any of this. On the contrary, if this nonsense doesn't stop soon, I am going to track down the responsible parties and start taking action.

If you are banned, stay off this forum. Period.

Also, thanks to the actions of girlfriday and "her husband", until further notice, I am not allowing anyone with a Phoenix-area cell phone to register here and post, unless I can personally verify they are real.

I knew something was up when Alan welcomed girlfriday to the forum. Immediate thought was this is either Rob Stringer or one of "craps buddies". Seems like Alan is an accessory to Rob Stringer. What a POS -- Rob Stringer, that is, not Alan. Oh no, not Alan, he's a good boy.

This is honestly getting very tiresome.

I go back several decades in online communities, and have dealt with the worst of the worst trolls, hackers, malcontents, etc.

Along the way I've gained experience and skills regarding handling things like this -- ones which often surprise people when they start up with me.

I took over this community two years ago from Alan because he was tired of all of the trouble, and I felt it had potential and was worth saving.

As you have all seen, I have been very polite to all members here, trolled no one, and stayed out of all of the various fights.

I just want to run this site and be left alone.

I understand that a number of people here have online enemies from other forums, or in a few cases, from awhile back on this forum.

I don't care about any of that. All of this needs to stop. Do not create fake accounts here. Do not harass the forum with troll/spam messages. Do not think that I won't reach my breaking point and actively go after those who won't leave this site alone.

Please take all of this fighting and drama elsewhere, or drop it completely.

Finally, a word about fake and duplicate accounts:

For the most part, I respect people's desire to stay anonymous here. I don't need to know who you are in order for you to be a member here in good standing.

This also goes for duplicate accounts. If you make a second account for purposes of posting something useful without associating it with your normal identity (for example, some insider info about a casino that's not supposed to be known), then I will respect that and not out you.

However, if duplicate accounts are registered simply to troll and fight with people, they will be banned.

Furthermore, banned users with duplicate accounts will again be banned.

Furthermore, if I suspect that any account is a duplicate, I may request that user to have a telephone conversation with me. If they refuse to do so, I may disable their account. Why? Because I have a good nose for sniffing out these things, and I have a right to remove anyone I deem suspicious, if they won't cooperate with identifying themselves when asked.

However, I can tell you that this won't affect the vast majority of you. Most of you can continue posting normally, and I will never bother asking you to verify anything, as I probably trust that you are a real user, even if I don't know your identity in real life.

I regret that I let this forum go on for too long with pointless trolling and fighting. I will continue to clean things up here, and will remove people who are not here to contribute anything valuable.

I didn't locate any of the Singer Martingale strategy in the videos, but I did find something about it in older posts by him. I wish he wasn't banned because it would be interesting to discuss this with him.

He doesn't visibly challenge the math and he says that. What I see is he trues to push the quad winners in his direction so he can see more of them than they statistically occur. He openly says his strategy relies on being a small bit more lucky than an ap player.

I also saw where your primary issue is how he claims to win, and win a lot, on less than 100% machines. I need to understand his system better first, but my comment here is that it's possible to be able to do that over x no. of hands, with x being undefinable for now. At 99.1% versus 100.7%, in individual sessions of video poker play, the difference would be negligible. I see the argument though, where over the long term there would be enough hands to eat away his profits. I can't disagree or agree with that until I know more about it.

The only way to increase the quad frequency is to throw away full houses which would be highly foolish in most circumstances. The exceptions being a "big" quad progressive (rare, as quads hit, on average once every 420 hands with normal discarding strategy) or if you're playing a game like Royal Aces bonus (quad aces pay 800-1) and you have a full house with 3-aces in it (it wouldn't increase quads that much since you only do the throw-away for the Aces, not the other 12 suits).

This was all because I asked girlfriday to call me (and even block her number if she didn't trust me to have it).

However, anyone who isn't a complete idiot also could see that it was a fake account. It was probably Rob, but if it wasn't, then it was definitely someone from the Phoenix area hiding under a duplicate account.

There was no guilt by association. The account was suspicious, I offered something very easy (calling me with a blocked number), and I got threats in return.

That person is now permanently banned here, whoever they are. Good riddance.

If you actually listened to Rob you'd see that for the most part especially on full pay games he did hold full houses and did not try for quads. The classic example is a full house with trip aces.

In full pay 8/5 Bonus Rob holds the full house. So does Dancer, for example.

In 7/5 Bonus Dancer holds the full house BUT if Rob needs the big win he will hold only the trip aces. Again ONLY if he needs the big win.

In 6/5 Bonus BOTH Dancer and Rob only hold the aces.

I posted the whole story about girlfriday threatening me, and he's still lamenting "her" ban as unjust.

Alan, do you not feel I have the right, as forum owner, to ask highly suspicious accounts to prove they're real?

I don't like jumping on the bash-Alan train, but I have to admit you are acting very strangely regarding girlfriday. You seem very much in their corner for no apparent reason, even after they threatened me in PM.

This poster wrote NOTHING that was objectionable but you responded to the mob mentality that anyone taking Rob's side MUST be Rob. You failed to consider that there just might be one other person in the universe who saw things as Rob would.

I had a gut feeling it was a fake account. Then I saw it was from the Phoenix area and especially became suspicious.

That was enough.

I don't need to prove in a court of law that it's a fake account before deciding to question it.

I was very polite and respectful with my questioning, and in return I got stupid "investigation" threats against me and the other users here.

That's not going to fly with me.

It's pretty easy to get a phone number from anywhere in the country nowadays. Just keep that in mind.

I'm LOL at the PM's RED posted. It just oozes classic Singer. You can, (or could; many are no longer online), find scores of posts going back decades from "new" people to a forum that follow the same formula to a "T": Feign ignorance about Rob and his system. State you decided to look into it to see what the controversy was about. Mention scores of details that just happen to be what Rob constantly writes. Express remorse that he is banned because they would like to have a discussion with him, and/or call for him to join the forum if he wasn't already there. Bonus points for defending his buddy Alan.

I have pretty close to zero doubt on this. And what can you say about someone who's banned, numerous times, who just HAS to try to keep himself in the conversation. SAD!
