Thread: Hot Sucker

  1. #1
So this thread will be dedicated to mailers in Vegas. I am guessing I will be the only member posting information on real life mailers and I understand why nobody wants to give this type of information out freely. However, I am guessing some Rec Gamblers might join in and let us know what they receive for Out of State Mail. Let's get started and as usual I like to start with downtown. I guess I will post each individual post per Casino because if I start to list all them and discussions about them on one post it will be very long. Am I trolling now mcap?

    1. El Cortel

This is a very easy Casino to get your mail rolling. Out of State or Local are both good but my information will be mostly for locals. Do not forget that the El Cortel is hard on APs in general so you want to keep your numbers low and you do not only want to play on point days only. You may even want to mix it up with some Dice Play or BJ only playing basic strategy and not much movement in your bets. Perhaps only flat betting and basic strategy will be decent cover to your machine play which you won't need much.

They have enough Full Pay and Close to Full Pay Machines to make things worth while. You only need 5k to 10k to get your mail rolling and once it starts rolling you can play on the 5x point days to take advantage. If you want you can even play the Downtown Deuces which is over 100% flat with a cut card though. Move your play around and you only need 10k a month to take advantage of the ATM promotion. Perhaps do not do all three swipes. You can play daily and earn 2000 points and swipe for the 10 dollar free play which will give you break even. Go slow and you will make diamond level eventually but not needed.

Max Mailers at this time are 50 dollars a week X 4 or 5 weeks and you will get decent Comp per 10 day intervals usually 40 x 3 to have a meal.

You will also get the Slot and BJ tournament invites which are a bonus.

Once again be cautious and go slow. You can run multiple cards but you have to be slick playing machines that won't lock up which can be difficult to find over there. Best to just play your card and keep things small slowly milking them to fly under the radar. The Manager of Slots is actually brothers with a professional AP so they have both sides of the fence in the family and he knows all the tricks.

This place is best just to go for the minimums and you will have a small win and since your downtown you can move to other spots with less heat.

To summarize it might be best to keep your coin at 5000 to 10000 coin in per month to avoid problems. Perhaps even fluctuating your coin at random each month. You could have a month where you go nuts and put in 20 to 50k but after that maybe cool off for 2 or 3 months. This is one place where after 20 some odd years I got no mailed but fluctuating my other cards per month have worked out perfectly which is funny because they have the same address.

    2. The D

The mail will take a month or two to get rolling but once it does it can last a year or more before you need to play again.

My play has usually been around 10k to 12k total per card. I like to play the 2 dollar BP on a point day which is usually every couple months or so. After putting in this amount I get 20 to 25 dollars a week x 4 and 25 in food and a 2 night stay per card. This usually runs for a year or so. You might be able to pull the card to trick the computer into not thinking you took off the free play but after the recent upgrade in system change it is most likely showing up although I have never had a problem and I pull the card every time. You can still play the upstairs bar progressives at the quarter level and you can get over a 2% edge if you switch from the BP to the DD when the progressives are at the correct numbers. It isn't hard to get on that bank when the BP is over 100% and honestly you can play that game flat all day long switching back and forth. They also have another BP bank that gets over 100% at times beside the Sports Book. However years ago they got pretty upset and took everything out. You can find many progressive must hits and video reels if that is your thing.

    3. The 4 Queens

Even though they have downgraded many things this place is still a gem for Quarter or Dollar VP.

The mail will roll in slowly... it will take about 4 months for it to catch and this goes for Binions as well.

IMO I would say that your best play if you don't mind playing at the bar dealing with bartenders is the 10/6 DD at the dollar level. You will get the full points which will give you a .3/.7 % cash/comp ratio added to your 100% game. Some real tight players still like to play the DB at 16 dollars coin in for 1 point or even the JoB. If you really want to get aggressive you can play the 100 play that is 98.5% payback but you can get the coin in faster and the mail rolling.

The max you can get is 100 every two weeks and for locals you will get 100 comp added to your account every two months. They do have special months like this March where they only do Free Play and they give you the whole thing up front. You want to put in around 4000 to 8000 points to get things rolling at a decent level which will translate to either 32k/64k coin in or if your doing the 16 for 1 your going to be putting in 64k/128k.

You will get the tournament invites and the room invite along with the Super Bowl and New Years Eve if you can stand it. I for one don't like having to show up for two sessions of tournament play but it is worth it in the long run but it is something like a 5% chance to make the money. They do give you a free play offer if you show up for both sessions which is like 10 or 20 dollars. Usually you have a field of around 200 players with 10 spots paid.

A few other things I could mention but this will suffice and get you started.

    4. The Horseshoe or Binions

This place is similar to the 4 Queens but not nearly as many good games. You basically need about the same amount of coin in to max out the mail with the same type of comp/cash card.

I suppose the best play is the 8/5 BP with the full pay quad payouts. Be careful they have plenty of 8/5 BP with the wrong quad payout. So the best way to do it is to earn the 300 points to get the 3 swipes per day which is 2400 coin in. It was better when the swipe was glitched and you were getting 3 free swipes but they fixed that. It still is a small win and you will get plenty of free food and free play with your swipes and free gifts for you players who like that garbage. The card and the mail will put you over 100% and you really don't need to worry about heat from this place or the 4 queens. You can even pull the card out when you flop quads or better to hide your play but since your playing a losing game do you really need to... I say yes.

The information is much appreciated. Thanks for the wonderful summary. I haven't yet gotten a D card, so this is an opportunity.

    5. Golden Gate

It seems they got smarter. For a long time I was getting a 12% kickback from my play over here. It probably still is worthwhile but I haven't played over here for a year. The last time I was playing I was playing the dollar 9/6 DD in the back besides Dupars, one night long ago I went in there to use my comp and they were shut down. I do miss that place, expensive coffee shop but good food and when your getting 50 dollar comps... well it works out. The last time I was putting in around 10k to 12k like at the D, my mail wasn't lasting very long. It would fall off pretty quick within 3 months. Things could be better or perhaps they were upset at me for hitting a few large royals totaling over 28k. Either way I got distracted with other plays like the Westgate and such and just let my play fall off at this Casino. Perhaps one day I will scout them out again in the future. The same goes for the Plaza after beating them up with the Double Royals and other promotions I haven't really been in the Casino but I will list them next anyway.

    6. The Plaza

I haven't been in this place since the Tax Day promotion. My host retired and the place wasn't of much value to me anymore. You can still play the full pay games like Jokers but the card isn't worth much and the mail is a bit sour for me in general. I guess a new player might be able to generate better mail but for the most part it is over for me for the time being. That doesn't mean that I won't go back or that I didn't miss something recently with this place it just means I gave up on the place around the same time I gave up on the Golden Gate. Stand By for Station Identification on those two Casinos from me.

    7. Main Street Station

What can you say about Boyd. Nothing really great anymore. They still have Young at Heart but after getting APed to death from that promotion and fixing it after a few years of mistakes the mail is not very good. I still get 540 in FP per month but I put massive coin in for that currently and get 40 x 4 in food comp or 45 x 2. Not very easy to maintain though and since Boyd decided to combine all mail for all properties it is even more difficult. Main Street has some VP like 9/6 Jacks or other Progressives. If you want to play Full Pay DB with a cut card they still have it. The nice thing about Downtown Boyd is the Courtesy Comp. You don't have to put much play in and if your playing progressive Reels you only need around 2k per day to get a decent comp. Go nuts like me and put 20 to 100k in at Reels and you'll be dining anywhere downtown with Boyd and no matter what anyone says they have plenty of good places to eat downtown, more so at the California.

You still could get decent mail as a local putting in 10k to 20k per month. Nothing great... I mean but it will just be something small on top of your full pay games that your playing. The real trick is to play certain progressive machines and that will get your coin in to astronomical levels netting you a 5% edge and mail and plenty of food along with two packs of cigarettes per day/session. If you don't smoke you can sell them or give them to someone who does.

I did get some good information that they are going to be downsizing very soon getting rid of many old school employees and that machines could be getting downgraded in the near future. Just like any other corporation... getting rid of long term employees before retirement kicks in. Oh yes the Casino likes to do this sort of thing but don't cheat the Casino that would be unethical.

Why are you doing this? If there are people that want this info and you are willing to share, do it in private. I don't know if posting this kind of info publicly will make any casino think twice and tighten up anything. But it ISN'T going to make them loosen up anything. If some casino or casino exec(s) get nervous, any changes will be for the worse. I think you know that though. For some reason, you seem to be intentionally being a jerk.

You mentioned Boyd's Young at Heart program. Negative changes were made effective this month (February) so you may want to check that out.

I say post away. I'm surprised casinos think they can get customers coming up off such little value. These casinos need to step up their game.😀😛

    a contemptibly obnoxious person.

I suppose your are saying I am a contemptible obnoxious person. Fair Enough. This information isn't anything not known or especially not known by Casino Executives. Your a straight shooter so you should have no problem with release of any information since it is all fair and square and legal. If you really think some marketing executive is looking at my post and saying ok lets change our ways I think your completely wrong. If anything this is helping the casual gambler or maybe some player like ZenKing.

I am tired about talking about matters unrelated to AP or gambling. This is about Gambling and Mailers. This is real world information... not phony bologna BS that you all like to talk about like how the Wiz mistreated people.

Not everyone can go around hustling Aladdin or Indiana Jones... ok I miss Indiana Jones actually and the many other easy playable vision machines. Don't worry later down the road I will post about more profitable situations... give me some time.

KewlJ corrected me on the Young at Heart Promo and I have to admit that I haven't played it much since they downgraded the ability to generate the 50x/30x multipliers so perhaps it isn't good at all anymore but it doesn't matter. because a few VP machines and a bunch of Reel Machines are 1% to 12% winners depending and any point multiplier only helps matters. I thought he was only counting cards... yeah were counting cards. What is he doing swiping for young at heart... did that promo help out BJ players as well? If so I didn't know that since I really don't go in the Pit.

Edit: Contemptible... ok so this is another word for despicable. I guess you should of just called me a piece of shit like mcap did instead of beating around the bush making me look up college words. And you say that AxelWolf is a troll!? Coming in my thread which has real world gambling information calling me things like contemptible and obnoxious... not very nice... my feeling is hurt.

This is proof that you are simply being a dick. To expand on your definition of 'jerk', I wouldn't be surprised if any definition included a picture of you.

Look, I am not angry or anything. This is small stuff and I already stated I don't think you posting this will have much effect. But if it does, it will be negative. It will be that some misguided casino exec thinks (I have a hard time typing "casino exec" and "thinks") it will. There is no chance posting publicly has any positive effect, only negative. But again, I think that's what you desire.

I am all for you helping players like ZenKing. I specifically PMed Axel and asked him to try to help ZenKing a little. (Not giving away anything major).

Well, maybe YOU don't know EVERYTHING! Yes, I personally have returned to mostly playing blackjack. That is what I am at heart. A blackjack card counter, a grinder, or to quote Grosjean...a "salamander".

BUT, I have a partner, (not my blackjack partner, but a machine partner) that handles all our machine play. It is very elementary stuff and fairly low level compared to you. Most of the EV comes from mailers. Vegas casinos have already cut back dramatically in the last year or so on mailer offers. I just don't think we need to tempt them to do so even more. But again, I know you don't care about us...you care about you!

I am not even near old enough for the Young at Heart, but my partner is. So we made it a point to stop by a Boyd property on Wednesdays. If nothing else, a free buffet (50 points earned). That is one of the benefits that disappeared.

You don't have to be old enough for young at heart... you only need 80 people over a certain age willing to give you their players card. I care more about the gambling community as a whole compared to players like you and I think I am free to have a thread about mailers if I want to. The title of this thread is Hot Sucker so I do not understand why you would be upset about anything a Hot Sucker is posting in the Hot Sucker Thread that the Hot Sucker created.

You are free to post what you want. You are doing it aren't you? But you DON'T care about the gambling community. You don't care about anyone but YOU! For whatever reason, you are intentionally trying to screw some of us. Don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining.

Oh and by the way, that using other players cards trick: In Pennsylvania, a team of AP's was prosecuted for that. It's been a couple years and I am not really sure what came of the case, or if it has even come up yet, but they were charged. My own feeling was that case would be thrown out, maybe not at the lower level, but if the defendants pursued it, to a reasonable court, the charges would be dismissed. Either that or they would plead to something minor and pay a fine. I'll have to ask BoB what became of that case.

In regards to your question to me monet, yeah probably sometimes, but not primarily a troll like I had said. Let’s be real, 80% or so of the regular posters on a forum every once in a while are trolling, not all the time.

Go ahead and do you bud, keep it real. Don’t think either of us have the time to keep up a pointless pissing match

Let us move away from Downtown for a moment. I will come back and discuss the California and The Fremont soon enough. I know the honest, legal, card counting KewlJ is upset at me and giving me some strife but that is ok... to be expected from the honest, moral gamblers of the world. For the record if I only cared about myself I wouldn't share any information publicly. This thread will help someone out there and that proves that I care about something other than myself. This information could hurt me as well which once again proves that I do not only care about myself. As a matter of fact, I have pretty much laid down my personal life for my family and on a daily basis I sacrifice my own wants and needs to make sure they are comfortable. I even have dogs which I have to feed everyday and give them some sort of love and exercise which shows that I have some capability of not being totally selfish. Of course the argument could be made that I only take care of others in my life to reap the benefits from them which would mean that I am totally selfish in my actions. That is pretty deep, intellectual thinking far above what my brain can comprehend.

    8. Stations Casinos (Palms)

Before Boyd decided to combine all mail in Vegas they had something decent going like the current Stations. I expect Stations to one day combine mail for all properties but hopefully not anytime soon. So the play is to go to the Palms and Fiesta Henderson and any other Stations Property and you will get all 3 mailers rolling from one Evil Empire.

I will have to break them down individually giving you all just bits and pieces of the puzzle to get you started. The Palms is still good IMO. Better than most places Downtown. I could be wrong but the max mailer appears to be 150 x 8 which is 1200 total and you will get 4 x 40 in food comp. They fixed the food comp so that you can't use it in the food court but the to go food at the Coffee Shop is worth while. Of course you all know you can double dip with the buffet and movie tickets and car wash on Tuesday and Thursday. That isn't anything great but if your over there before 10 pm by all means go for it. I know most of you guys hold banker hours and like to play 9 to 5 you sickos. Why on earth would you AP when all the bosses are upstairs or on the floor is beyond me.

Back to the Palms. You can play on the point days and play high 99% VP all over the place and get over 100%. You need 100k+ monthly average to get the max mail. This will also get you two free cruise tickets if you so desire to go on a cruise. They still have plenty of VP to play and they have lots of progressive vision type reels to mess with if you like to do that. You don't have to play huge to get good courtesy comps but the nice thing is that if you play enough you can get those courtesy comps at any property since they are interchangeable. The Palms is starting to move machines around again since the construction is finished indoors somewhat so who knows what mistakes you might find. It is always good to check machines when they move them around since glitches are more prone to happen. Most sickos like to play those ten play JoBs on point days but I suggest doing other things and moving your play around and play on days that aren't point days as well. The real APs seem to like to hammer the Ultimate X that they still have next to the JoBs but since I don't play that game you will have to investigate yourself. Most Casinos and especially Stations are getting hip to VP players only playing on point days but I have to admit for the most part the Palms is still true to form not completely Stationized just yet but I suspect they are heading that way very soon so be careful and be aware. The cards catch so if you are playing someone elses card you either need help or you need a good story. Being drunk having some booze spilled on you or a beer in your hand can help and you can explain you were on the MJ from across the street not knowing what your doing. As always be careful and be prepared.

Fair Enough and I actually appreciate you being a man about all this. One thing is for sure once again people may not like me or agree with me but when I have posted anything in the last two years on either site I keep it real and don't post lies or BS or misinformation. If one thing I can say about myself is that I post honest, true ways to get an edge on the Casino. Yes the edges might be small but plenty of players are doing what I am describing day in and day out making a living. The ones that are smarter or know certain plays are making a killing. I for one have destroyed a certain Casino for about 20 years now on Reels... That is Reels not VP... not BJ... but the heart and soul of the Casino Floor. Guess what... the Casino is never going to throw out a guy for playing Reels unless they get silly about it like being a vulture and fighting over machines which we all know happen all the time. More so in the MC era like he talks about the Cherry Pies and such. I do miss the Boom Machines.

The morally minded KewlJ is pretty tough with those poetic words. Calls me a Richard. Says that my picture is in the dictionary under the word Jerk. Calls me a Jerk before that. After looking up the word Jerk it is clear that he was calling me a contemptible obnoxious person and those words are really mean after looking them up. I don't know this gentleman but goodness it is clear he is never happy in any of his posts. He is pretty upset at Alan, clearly upset at Rob Singer, Seems to be upset with AxelWolf and at times LarryS. We know he respects the Wiz but at times is pretty upset with him as well. I just never read anything very positive from him, however I have only been a member here a short while so I could be completely wrong with this assessment. I just see a pattern in his recent posts. It could be nothing though... I may not have enough data to support any theories. He tries to point out that my posts are only to hurt him and others on this site which is a clear fabrication. He clearly thinks that I am doing this out of some selfish reason but in my mind this is a gambling forum about gambling in Vegas. I am talking about how to go about gambling in Vegas with honest and real information. Is it the best information out there... no but I have to start somewhere and I promise to share more and more profitable easier plays in the very near future. Recently members like RS questioned me about why anyone would want to meet up with me after talking shit about stealing or at least that is the way he put it. It is pretty simple... I am a serious person who shoots things straight and some people like that direct style. I don't really get into talking shit or trash talking to or about anyone. I certainly never started out calling anyone a name or calling anyone out specifically until they instigated it out of me and that is when I start to retaliate. Either way it makes no difference. Continuing on in our quest to publish information about current mailers in every Vegas Casino. After that I will start threads about Progressive Reels and VP in the Vegas area to help any and all players that wish to play and or get an advantage. Perhaps after all that information I can post a thread or two about mistakes and or glitches and so on and so forth. I can hear my long time x friend yelling in the background for someone to tackle that guy cause he is on Tilt!

    9. Stations Casino (Main Properties)

Basically you can play at any of the main properties with Stations to get the mailer which is a lump property mailer that doesn't include the Palms or Fiesta Henderson. Too much to break down so let's just start with Boulder Station and that 7/5 BP Bank that players like to hustle when the total average gets to 32k between the 4 suited Royals. Although I have seen them all jump up when the Royal Average drops to 31k and I am thinking hey... its still playable since you have the point day and even if you don't have the point day you have your 3x card and they tell me to go ahead and push the meters up and they will return after I get the Royals up some more. Anyways, plenty of VP to play on point days or not point days. Plenty of Vision or Reel Machines as well. Too much to really get into this late in the day for me. I thought that 900 FP and 100 comp per month was the max but I found another level that is 1125 per month in FP and 75 in food comp. Either way when you spread your play around even the 40 dollar mailers aren't terrible. Plenty of progressive VP to hunt down between all the properties so this will require you to do some scouting on your own. Basically I just wanted to talk about mailers and I think I have shown you the two higher levels of mail that can be achieved with Stations. So if you combine the Main Core along with the Palms you can get 2375 in FP with around 230 comp per card per month but you have to be a bit of a mad man so it might be better to shoot for the lower tier mail and spread it out wider. The choice is yours. This is just a rough road map to get you started.

    Hi Monet:

Thanks for the nuggets of information you are providing. It is useful to me as I did not know much of what you are sharing. I agree the value of the Board is for sharing info. That said, the last time I was at El Cortez the beginning of this January, I was told the ATM promo was discontinued.
