    What is the play here?

I'm not a slot AP and do not understand how someone would gain an advantage by using many other different cards in the machine they are playing.

Earlier I read a reference to eighty different cards?

    Please explain, thanks.

Let us go back downtown starting with the California... The place is decent. I haven't played the double bonus game that gives full points for over a year now but the last time I was down there I seen someone hammering as fast as they could on the dollars so it must still be live. This information is on VPfree2 anyway and if it isn't anymore it used to be but I haven't looked at that site for a long time.
FYI: for those in or thinking of making some plays up in Reno, the Atlantis downgraded the final two remaining full pay uprights. They had FPDW,FPOEJ,FPLD,FPJOB (had a beefed up straight flush to make it 100%),FPDB,FPJW and full pay machine blackjack on these. Not only did they downgrade them, but the very low theo comp points were not increased, so you are getting the worst of it from both sides. Casino Fandango in Carson City still has FPDW at the cabaret bar but it is only 5cx5coin IIRC. Whatever 100%+ VP remains in this region, if any, besides what I mentioned is unknown to me.

if u want to say hi, I will be at the atlantis sat. around 9am, I usually sit in my fave area of slots......playing small amounts, bidding time while my wife tries to make her killing on her fave slots.
95 percent of my bankroll goes to sports and hold-em.....so I hang out and let her have some fun. Its the "marriage thing"

Let's just keep it as simple as possible. You have a wife I believe? So you guys come to town. You both sign up for a players card. Now some husband and wives mess up and decide to have a joint account. That's a mistake. You want separate accounts and it will not matter if you have the same address but you will generate double everything. So let's say you decide to put in 20k of coin. It is almost always better to split it up and put 10k on each card. When you ask for comps or the mailman delivers the mail you will get double. Depending on where you play you could see some discrepancies. You'll have to use that college education and real world experience that I lack to get things where you want them over time.

Now, imagine doing that times 10, 20, 30... 80. That should get your brain heading in the right direction. Of course the more you do the more you want it spread out. You don't want 10 mailers going to one address. Most Casinos won't allow PO Boxes anymore so that play is over for the most part.

I will throw in one nugget of guidance based on my own experience. While Ceasars keeps spouse accounts separate, it will not send comp offers to the same address. So consider using an office address for one spouse rather than the same home address. I had my wife's offers disappear until I did this workaround.

So the idea is to spread the coin in out over more than one card, in order to generate more offers than the casinos would offer if all the play was on one card only?

Just depends. You need more experience and time in that arena to fully understand it and it isn't always about offers. Think if your getting a 30x multiplier and that translates to 3% cashback. Your playing a high 99.56% payback game. Do the math... figure it out! All this is useless unless your gonna live here or you live close enough to Casinos to play day in and day out for your life.

They've got a Walking Dead pinball machine in the upstairs arcade Larry. I'll be making some plays in Carson on Saturday, so I won't be in town at 9AM.

I'll dig up the article later, but basically Casinos will be moving to Smart Phone tap ID in lieu of physical cards, so we need to milk the physical card stuff over the next few years.

A few years? I'll take the over; way too many olds aren't going to keep up with that tech that soon (neither of my parents own a smartphone).

Monet - can you explain the terms "cut card" and "8-8-8"?

I wonder if they will ever reopen the Dupars at Golden Gate?

I had thought about this phone ID for card for a while now. It just seems to pose too many problems, as already mentioned, older folks may not be on board. What if your battery goes out? I also dont think it will solve the other problems. Finger print scanning would work, however, they will lose people not willing to mess with that stuff.

Why did they close it in the first place? It was a great value and the food was ok but after 6 ot 7 times it was just ok.

There is a place called Vitality Bowls that used to give points on purchases. In effect it would amount to a 10% discount. They used to keep track of your points on a card. Then they went to an app.

A lot of people cut down their visits because they didn't want to have to scan their receipts. They felt like they were paying an extra 10%.

The franchise owner was bitching about corporates decision to go that route. He started keeping his own log and giving discounts to people not comfortable using the app. That only lasted a little while though.

I heard it was something to do with the owner not paying taxes properly. I will see if I can dig up the article I read on it. Man I really miss those pies and they had the best shrimp cocktail in my opinion.

Just ok huh? Best yellow split pea soup in town. Perhaps best New England clam chowder. An impressive Prime Rib lunch or dinner. Homemade pies and pastries not to mention all the old school 50s style coffee shop fare. One of the last places where the waitresses wore the classic diner uniform... the list goes on and on like pancake challenge and amazing pancake/breakfast fare.

Maxpen makes me smile... classic Maxpen or even Djatc bringing up a question about food or restraunts. Touché fellas... touché!

I still stop at Peggy Sue's 50's Diner when I'm on my way back from California. Not only for the classic diner uniforms either, which I do like. They make a hamburger just like my grandmother. Something about toasting the bun with butter and getting just the right amount of salt in the patty.
