Thread: Chocolate from heaven

  1. #1
Yesterday UPS delivered a four pound parcel addressed to me at my office.

Upon opening it I was surprised to find fifteen bars of Tonys chocolonely dark chocolate.

I had never ordered them, hell I don't like dark chocolate.

I contacted the vendor via googling the label info, and upon investigation they too were baffled as to how and why it was sent to me: clearly a mistake.

    They said keep the candy.

    Weird.

could it be a satisfied client? Or a secret admirer, or frank stantons will being executed,

i looked on their website.....its weired. Its "slave free chocolate". Usually a high class chocolate would have nicer wrappers than what they have. The wrapper looks clownish. Not high class.
    Doesnt match the "message"

    how did it taste?

Not being a fan of dark chocolate, I cannot say how it compares to others of its type, but it seemed "OK."

My wife said it was like chocolate chips.

UNFI, the shipper, traced the request to a company I'd never heard of in NY.

To make it weirder, the chocolate company (Tonys) which imports the Belgian chocolate is located here in Portland.

I guess I'll give it away, but damned if I know to whom I'll donate it: I wonder if a food bank would want it?
