My local has 3 Harleys, and thanks to this thread I always give them a quick look, but have never found anything worth spinning off. But, since all the meters are visible it is worth a look.
Thanks guys, maybe one of these days.

Ocean Magic is the game I was talking about on the 1st floor by the boardwalk. There are a pair of creators (Male & Female) who are always there trying to scam older people to set the game up for themselves. They look like tweakers and I personally have seen them on 3 trips so they must be locals and are getting people to fall for it. Obviously Caesars doesn’t seem to care.
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ
Slotlady gets lucky on a harley. Hits the mega in just a few spins. Winds up with a handpay.

Thanks for the info on the Harleys, I’ve done pretty good using the guidelines listed.
Has anyone made progress on thresholds for Big 5 Safari? There is another machine that I’m assuming plays the exact same called Pyramid Progressive. So far the 8 of the possible 25 resets I’ve observed are the same. I’m assuming the others are as well and the games will have the same strategy.
Looking for opinions on how much coin in would be a good enough amount for a reasonable sample size to determine if a play is +ev?
Say the machine has several denom’s with an avg spin of $1.25. So 125k coin in would be around 100k spins.
The machine has no jp’s only bonus’.
How would you control for the amount of bonus’ skewing the results?
Over on WoV the Wizard has started a thread on the Harley-Davidson slots. He has an interesting formula that is a little different than mine. He put up an example of mini23/maxi30/mega97 and put that configuration at 105.38%. My formula puts it at 105.6% so we are very close.
I've switched to using the Wizard's formula for ease of use.

One of the local machine AP's recently hit the $10k on the wheel spin feature.
I would imagine slot aps would come out ahead on just the regular game itself sometimes due to natural variance which would just be icing on the cake.
Take off that stupid mask you big baby.
Can someone please help me to figure out how to convert your ev into a dollar amount. Say for this example it was a .80 denom play. What would a 5.38% edge equate to for your avg win?
Well given your numbers it would be 1.0538 X .80. You have a 5% edge on your bet of $.80.
A win is poorly defined. For a Harley it depends on what series of free spins you're aiming for and what they're set at. Maybe you want to know the average EV of a single free game spin or some such? A win can literally be anything. If you want to measure expectation, then you need some sort of discrete event. A "win" doesn't really define anything in terms of math.
TBH the wins on this stuff are fairly small. I spent a lot time in Vegas last month and and had a pretty knowledgable slot hustler walk me around a few casinos and I feel I'm hip to most plays these days. I never scored over $100.. Maybe hit $120 one time or so. I likely also lost large amounts. Average win is probably like $20ish. It is fun and if that is your income stream then gl, but I would never look to making this into serious income. Everyone has a different thing going on in life though, so who knows.
An individual play is defined as playing until you hit either the mini, maxi or mega. Once you hit one of those the play is over and you reevaluate to see if there is another play to continue on. One can calculate what the play is worth by knowing the bet level, the edge and the average number of spins.
Mega freq. is 2553, maxi 675, mini 220. That will average to 156 spins per play. With a 9.498% edge the average yield on the 80 level is $11.53.
156 X 9.498% X .80 = 11.53
On the 400 level its $59.27.

Thanks a lot Mickey, that's exactly what I was looking for.
