First of all, Betonline.ag is offering some good numbers (for most, not all, golfers) and has a promo. If Tiger Woods wins, they will pay the second place finisher as a winner. And if your golfer loses in a playoff, they will refund your wager. Interesting and creative, considering how much money is coming in on Woods.
Tiger Woods is taking a ton of money, and Woods and Mickelson were the subject of a USA Today feature. So of course we have neither. These are very small wagers, but we have a general philosophy and we'll see if we can get someone to make a run at this. One unit equals .7 percent of bankroll, so each of these represents .07% of bankroll.
1) 1/10th unit on Zach Johnson at 125-1.
2) 1/10th unit on Henrik Stenson at 40-1.
3) 1/10th unit on Sergio Garcia at +2750.
4) 1/10th unit on Jason Day at 18-1.
5) 1/10th unit on Dustin Johnson at +1330.
Day and Johnson were outlier numbers. Zach Johnson is getting old, but it's his "home course." Garcia is very long odds for a respected defending champion. Stenson is also getting long in the tooth, but we'll give him one more stab at it.
Addendum: We actually missed the best of the Stenson numbers, as a +4073 is currently available. That is on me.
