I am a former WoV member who was self banished. I never gave Alan any grief over his 18 yo's in a row claim. Some people tell me they see ghosts or have talked directly to God. Who am I to say that didn't happen. If someone wants to tell me they can control the dice or seen 18 yo's in a row... I'm not going to debate that. Why couldn't it happen? I think that the government has had studies of people with telekinetic powers for a long time now. Are you saying that people can't read the minds of others or move objects with their mind? Some people have psychic powers helping the police solve crimes... don't they? I mean that is truly documented isn't it?

So the point is Alan said he saw 18 yo's in a row... ok if he saw it I say he saw it but I don't see how it matters. I would like him to give me some information on how to get the edge in Las Vegas or at least talk about gambling. I don't see the reason to keep talking about what may or may not have happened. Personally I believe Jesus walked on water but others don't. Are the odds of walking on water higher than throwing 18 yo's in a row?

I agree with that. When Alan reported witnessing the Yo's, just because the odds are beyond astronomical does not mean he's lying or is confused. Who here has more time and experience at craps tables that he does anyway, and what would be the purpose for him fabricating such a thing? Yet this collection of self-proclaimed AP's call him names and attack him for no other reason than because they have a hard-on for him.

Yes the odds of a 200 lb. man walking on water has even higher odds that those Yo's, but if even one person said they saw it then only a fool would come back with name-calling.

This shouldn't be too tough to understand. APs or gamblers in general are usually very lonely people. A very high percentage of them are true addicts and not only with gambling but with all things in life. They fall into problems with drugs, alcohol, prostitutes... etc. etc.

I myself have many of these problems and had them worse earlier in life. So it only makes sense that they are addicted to posting on forums and also lonely seeking out attention. I fall into the trap many times myself and have wanted to get away from posting but it is so darn easy to just type out your thoughts and post them and move on as if your doing something which you are not. It is just another trap like many of the pitfalls in our American Lifestyle.

I dont buy the "addiction" moniker as it gets loosely thrown around. Hollywood stars who get caught cheating.....acting badly......all of a sudden check into a clinic for "sex addiction". Sometimes people can just act fucked up without being able to blame an "addiction".

I suppose you have a point here but once an individual starts giving into improper behavior and become addicted to it... well it becomes addictive behavior.

Two of the biggest addictions I know of are Television and Cigarettes. Try to get people off of these two habits and try to tell me they aren't addicts!

My grandmother is one of these holy roller types but you should see her without the ability to have the television on . She threw a huge temper tantrum when service was out for a few days. Same goes for when I play classical music in her house... that lasts about 3 mins before she turns into the devil.

If someone behaves badly and throw a tantrum that is no proof of "addiction"///its proof that they are either poorly raised, or have developed poor habits. Its easy for people to develop poor habits. For instance in retail, the more abusive, loudest customers get what they want. And when they do....it reinforces the behavior....and they continue and even continue more aggressively. Doesnt mean that they are addicted to anything. It just means they developed this behavior based on how other people react to them. Your aunt has learned if she throws a tantrum she more than not will get what she wants...or get someone to give her what she wants. She is not addicted toTV...she is just acting badly. Just as hollywood stars that get caught cheating are acting badly and dont really have some psychological issue that needs treatment.

People throw around "addiction"" as an excuse for either bad behavior, or unhealthy behavior. You know..."i eat alot of chocolote because I am addicted to it"......NO you eat alot of chocolate because you have no self respect , you have no care about health, and dont really care that you are obese.

Having no self control is not "addiction". "Im addicted to adultery, chocolate, fast food, work, fried food, tv, blogging" are just declarations that often are used to reason away bad behavior.

It's surprising that I have to remind you, but if it's mathematically possible within the parameters of the numbers available to us in calculations, then it CAN happen. What the wizard did was the calculation. It produced a real number. The rest is speculation. I don't know, Mr. V. When he claimed he saw it happen, my immediate conclusion was that somehow rigged dice had been (probably accidentally) inserted into the game. To me, that was the most likely scenario. While highly improbable, it was certainly one of those one in a thousand screw-ups that could have happened. It's not like rigged dice don't exist. And it's not like management doesn't have access to them.

So that's where my head went -- partly because Mr. Mendelson was so damn adamant, and I knew it was impossible.
