Odds of Dan responding to monet? Less than one in a thousand. But if monet could find Dan a free room for the WSOP then Dan would be immediately calling.
Hey, I was just in a discussion, today, about our thinking that we can now control evolution through the charting and manipulation of our DNA. Related to the various progressions of some mental illnesses, and this notion of free will. We notice that in persons with dementia, in the still structured ways their minds still work, likely to overcompensate for some lost mental functioning. The mind has to be the most fluid organ in the body when it comes to adaptation and restructuring itself. Anyway, we notice these subtle, often heightened, mental changes in dementia patients, and in others who recover from PTSD, etc. And wonder that we, ourselves, are as seemingly robotic, overall, mentally. How is it that we can truly see ourselves collectively to truly know who or what is manipulating whom? Is it a "matrix" from the movie? Anyway, again, my take on evolution is that anything we think we are doing otherwise is, likely, still part of the same overall evolution. It's our "destiny" to exercise, or not, this newfound "free will" over our own evolution.

The forum was kind of dead so I let Singer post a bit more.
But I'm close to re-banning him entirely because of the trolling he's still doing.

Dan, it's not a problem if I am banned, esp. this time of year. I'm not posting much anyway. Gut-punching mickey over & over and watching the WoV rejects constantly babble on about what goes on over there doesn't really do anything to enhance lives.
Just recently the Supreme Court made a HUGE decision on sports betting and it should have created a thread as long as my you know what. Yet our resident weird & anonymous self-proclaimed but unproven sports betting luminary has had curiously very little to say about it. Instead, he sits around waiting for me to post and then for himself to come up with corny, poorly written replies. It's nearly as lame as mickey continually begging you to ban people who don't buy his bs stories or don't stay infatuated with his two-bit life. I can understand why he wants to think the gaming world can't wait for "more mickeycrimm 24/7" because the guy chose to waste his life away in this manner. But even he is running out of material, and now mostly argues about the goings on elsewhere.
We went thru Reno/Tahoe a few weeks ago and I got four Jacks three hands in a row--the first on $2 SDBP, and the next two on 25c BP. Probably not believable to the collection of armchair players/theorists here though. When you actually play rather than scan posts to claim this or that is impossible or is more unlikely than Tony Bennet having a baby with Lady Gaga, you always find that the improbable can and does happen.
Like 18 Yo's.
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ
I'm posting my name with my face, and posting photos and summaries of what I'm doing. But Argentino says I'm anonymous. I have two decades worth of "Tipsters or Gypsters?" and an Art Rosenbaum (the late SF Chronicle editor and Sports Illustrated contributor) piece verifying the legitimacy of "Tipsters or Gypsters?" on the sports thread, which I offered to photo and post if anyone is interested. Yet I'm self-proclaimed but unproven.
I think Argentino is having a rough time. Let me work on that "self-proclaimed but unproven" angle a bit more.
Rob, my dear friend, would you like me to photo and post the Rosenbaum piece and some of my "Tipsters or Gypsters?" standings? Anything to help. And I was planning on posting some material from when the NCAA tried to ban college sports betting as a background piece to this latest legalization. I'll get to it. I had an op-ed published that took to task the (then) president of Penn State, and it was published in the State College newspaper, which was really something since Penn State controls the single paper in State College in many ways.

And just as I identified----redietz just can't help himself when it comes to hoping for me to post.
"I was gonna"...."it was coming"...."I'll get to it"...."I was planning on"....How about you're "full of it and you know it" red?
You've been posting how you've done this and done that and have accolades from all these people and places, and make claims about "20 to 30 years ago blah blah blah". Yet you continue to dodge & duck putting up support for any of it, and instead mealy-mouth your way thru the most stupid of reasons for not doing it. And for some weird reason--which every reader certainly has determined that you are indeed, weird--you make yourself believe that these dumb posts you put up naming "this and that publication or tournament" somehow fulfills the requirement for legitimacy.
Now you say a name and a face will appear, in response to my pressure. Big whoop. Put a matching ID with redacted personal info up with them and we may get somewhere. Otherwise, you're nothing more than the same gaming hack you've always been.
That was also a poor deflect on why you neglected to start a discussion thread on the new sports betting law. The internet was filled with points, counter-points, league & sportsbook discussions, ESPN/fox sports/NBC sports shows on it, and self-proclaimed luminaries such as yourself detailing every aspect of it and how it came to be, yet the great anonymous redietz spends his time searching for posts to respond to from "Argentino".
You are seen as having one serious hard-on---and it ain't for LeBron....
I'm actually pretty precise when it comes to posting information. I certainly would not discuss and debate any exploitable aspects of what transpires with the state to state legalization. The questions regarding it are obvious, at least to people who have given it any thought, and I'll ask those questions in the Retro Road Trip thread.
Meanwhile, I have one compadre who has a horse running in Delaware this week who will report on the sports betting there. I have another compadre in a horse handicapping tournament in New Jersey tomorrow, and he will report on the situation in New Jersey. The two states have some differences, at this point, in how they are going about this. My suspicion is that the states will be forced to be fluid, and they may change how and what they are doing on the fly as the football season approaches. I also, if anyone checks the Retro Road Trip thread, have some questions about possible definitions of "bad actor" going forward, as that is a very imprecise term legally.
I think that about covers it. I'm not ESPN. I'm not anybody else. As some of the APs here may appreciate, if I see something exploitable, I'll be sure to not mention it.

That's a great tournament at Monmouth. I can't make it there this year due to business commitments. If he hasn't played in that contest before he will like it, and Monmouth does a real good job of administration.
I'm going to check in with him tonight. Evidently, depending on where you finish, you get to choose your prizes, so you can opt for Breeders' Cup contest entries or NHC or cash, depending on whether you have already qualified for contests. I will pass along your review. I don't think he's played it before. He's hosting three or four other players who are showing up for the contest, including Brent, I think.
20 NHC spots I believe, plus, as you said, option to take breeders cup instead ( i think 5 or 6 available). And the top 6 (i think 6) get to pick 2 prizes so you can take an NHC and a breeders cup. Plus there is some cash prizes as well.
When I last played it was Monmouth and Belmont. I think they have now added a third track. This is also good to limit the number of playable tracks.
Ok while Rob and redietz have been having yet another dick waving/measuring contest something relevant to this thread occurred.. The Culinary Union announced that at least with CET they have reached a tentative agreement which resolves issues for 12k of the roughly 50k workers who are represented by the union. According to the report however it appears a strike maybe imminent against MGM and others, as union reps stated they were meeting to schedule picket line staffing and signs which could be a big blow as MGM seems to be the biggest target in this potential strike. (Boyd, and a few others are also part of this potential strike but MGM represents the biggest number of union members).
Good news is this now eliminates the biggest potential threat to disruptions for the WSOP this year with CET/Union issues resolved.
Hey angry Jack
The only way for anyone--even an anonymous hack like you--to prove or support anything is to put up or shut up. Ten years ago when my play strategy was in full swing, I put up $640,000 cash in a challenge to the phony HP crowd and any other critic "AP's" in LV, that I could absolutely prove and track my $640,000 net winnings to date. Several newspapers took interest, only those challenged suddenly ran and hid.
Requests to prove anything here for a bunch of anonymous nobodies doesn't come close to my calling out actual real names back then. I won the battle back then and I continue to win it today. And it's obvious by the personal attacks that my goal of agitating so-called ap's has been way more than successful.
I tingle.....
So you are bragging about things in the past which you condemn others for doing. Just shows what a douchebag you are. No principles. Bankruptcies, judgements, cheating on taxes. It's all on the table for you isn't it, scumbag.
Your story of withdrawing 640K from a 401k doesn't ring true. There are penalties for withdrawing early and taxes. It would have cost you big time to withdraw the money. You will scramble for a phony cover story once you read this.
Then there is the old trick of proposing a bet so big no one will cover it. And I know you well enough to know that if anyone tried to cover it you would immediately go into making a dozen conditions. If those conditions are met you will change the conditions. You will keep changing conditions until the other party gives up then declare victory. That's your M.O, Chickenshit Rob Argentino.

It turns out that I was very fortunate to not post anything to this point regarding my op-ed from eons ago. I thought college administrators had educated themselves somewhat about sports gambling, but evidently they have not. The powers that be in college football are publicly repeating, almost verbatim, the kinds of arguments they originally made when they tried to ban college sports gambling in Las Vegas. My op-ed was a solid rebuttal then, not a bad rebuttal now, and a retooled version should have some public legs.
I'll get the original op-ed posted here this weekend. I'm working on the reboot over the weekend; deadline is Sunday night.
