Thread: Atlantic City will match your player's club status to several other major programs

  1. #1
Great deal for status matches going on right now in Atlantic City. If you have any card above the minimum level at an Altantic City property (or one of their partner properties in another market), then you are entitled to several elevated statuses at other properties! This includes major programs such as MGM MLife and Caesars Total Rewards, as well as smaller programs!

If you will be in Atlantic City anytime soon, you should DEFINITELY take advantage of this. So what do you get? Read on...

You will get a free match to Caesars Total Rewards Diamond if you have any of the following cards:
    - MGM MLife Gold, Platinum, or Noir
    - Golden Nugget 24K Elite or Chairman
    - Resorts Star Card Red Carpet or Paramount
    - Tropicana Trop Advantage Black or Platinum
    - If outside Atlantic City, or for a list of matching with properties in other markets, click here.
    - Wyndham Diamond (click here for details)

You will get a free match to MGM MLife Gold if you have any of the following cards:
    - Total Rewards Seven Stars or Diamond

You will get a free match to a "lite" version of Golden Nugget 24K Elite (see post below this one for details) if you have any of the following cards:
    - MGM MLife Gold, Platinum, or Noir
    - Total Rewards Seven Stars or Diamond
    - Resorts Star Card Red Carpet or Paramount

    - MGM MLife Pearl
    - Resorts Star Card Epic
    - Tropicana Trop Advantage Copper

Note that you can get MGM MLife Pearl and Total Rewards Platinum with no play, by simply signing up for their free credit cards (you'll need to do this in advance and wait a few weeks, though).

Updates as of July 2nd, 4PM EDT.

    1. Ocean Resort Casino is no longer accepting Hard Rock AC "Rock Royalty" cards. Reason: people were using TR Diamond and tier matching at Hard Rock, then walking a few steps over to Ocean and getting tier matched to "Ocean Premier Black", using their new "Rock Royalty" cards.

    2. Golden Nugget AC tier matched Elite/Chairman cards are "lite" versions (e.g. no entry into Chairman's Club), and have "TRADE UP" stamped on them. The cards are also a different color (green/blue) than a normal Elite/Chairman card (white/black).

    3. Bally's Park Place AC now marketing 100X odds on craps, up to $5,000.

    Thanks Dan.

I am planning on my first visit to Atlantic City for on Day to use my Annual CET Seven Stars Retreat. I expect to be staying at Ceasars AC. With the trade up offer, it looks like I can trade up to Ocean Resort "Black" with my Seven Stars and get $100 free play, plus $150 in Hard "Rock Royalty." Both of these casinos offer "complimentary show tickets" at these card levels. Is this similar to CET Diamond shows or just something like entry to a standup comedian show? I like the fact that these places are on the Boardwalk so are walking distance for me (I assume it will be safe).

Does any one know if I have to revisit and maybe have to have hotel stay to use the free play or other benefits?

I do not seem much benefit for matching up to Mlife Gold other than getting free parking (including in Las Vegas). Nor anything interesting for the Golden Nugget card.

    Regards,

    FAB

The $250.00 free slot play ($150.00 at HR, $100.00 at Ocean) is immediate. The best game appears to be 9/6 DDB at the $1 denomination and up. You will have to revisit to use the 2 free hotel nights at Ocean (the best room product in Atlantic City).

For Hard Rock, you can call (609) 449-1000 to book the following offer, if available:

    https://hardrockhotelatlanticcity.co...te-tier-match/

Two tickets to the Howie Mandell Comedy Club: features regional talents, call for show schedules.

    Hi Nerakil:

Looks like you were already able to leverage your Seven Stars card to get those benefits! My wife is a CET Diamond and so we may also use her tier matching to yield even more free play.

I will be heading to AC during Labor Day so I believe these matching offers will still be in existence. I don't need any extra rooms since I will be staying at Ceasars on my Annual Retreat. I've never been to AC before, do you think it will be any problems with walking from Ceasars to Ocean Casino or Hard Rock? Any other suggestions or "must dos" since I am there?

Also is it like Las Vegas where CET does not care which CET casino I play in but will aggregate the play. It looks like on VPFree2 that the Video Poker pickens are better at Ballys than at Ceasars where I will be staying.

You say the best VP is 9/6 $ DDB. Which casino are you referring to? Both Hard Rock and Ocean?

Finally, do you have any insight on the free shows that Ocean Black level card holders are allegedly entitled to?

    Regards, FAB

    FAB,

She could probably show her Seven Stars Companion card (assuming she has one) and get the same tier match benefits as you. They weren't checking the card designs and expiration dates very closely.

Caesars AC to Hard Rock and Ocean is about a 20-30 minute walk down the Boardwalk. No real "must-dos" off the Boardwalk, but perhaps Borgata (MGM) on the marina side is worth a visit for a tier match to Mlife Gold.

Both Bally's Park Place and Caesars AC have full pay VP games at the $1 denomination and up, $20 coin-in earns 1 TC.

Hard Rock and Ocean have 9/6 DDB and Illinois Deuces at the $1 denomination and up in their high limit rooms. I didn't find any VP games returning over 99%.

I'm not sure of the free show list at Ocean; I doubt a schedule even exists for now. Many common areas, restaurants, bars, and sportsbook are still under construction as of this weekend (July 6-8).

Have a great trip! I'll be in AC for the long weekend as well, so perhaps we'll run into each other!

Will these places match a diamond card if it has a Jan 18 expiration on it? Will they look at the cards that carefully? Thanks

  9. #9
According to the above, it's hit and miss. Sometimes they look at expiration carefully, sometimes they don't.

Oceans still shows matching rock royalty to black on their page...I'm hoping I'm able to talk them into it. Fly up tonight!

Labor Day weekend my family flew to Atlantic City on our Seven Stars Retreat. That offer came with a complimentary limo from Philly airport to Atlantic City and back. The first night we were put in a forum tower room which was larger than average but only an inside a view of the lobby! I had us moved to the Centurion Tower for the rest of the trip the next day and had a wonderful view of the Boardwalk. I used my Seven Stars retreat free play reimbursement to play video poker and hit this:

Thanks to Dan Druff and Nerakil, my wife and I used the tier match offers at Hard Rock and Ocean. Both are located at the end of the Boardwalk. Prior to doing the tier match, I signed up my wife as my 'Seven Stars Companion". It required us to go to the VIP check-in lounge and they took her photo which they placed on the back of the Seven Stars Companion card. My wife hated the photo quality -- made her DMV photo look like a Vogue Model.

We then went to Hard Rock. The line for a new card was about 10 deep but moved OK. I showed my Seven Stars Card and got $150 free play, and offer for a hotel room and show (within 90 days). Hard Rock also gave me a "Rock Royalty" Tier card (highest level). My wife showed her Seven Stars Companion Card and the boothling refused that card as it was "only a Companion" and so my wife showed her regular CET diamond card and got the exact same benefits I received (go figure).

It was difficult to find any video poker at Hard Rock so I went to their high limit and promptly lost all my free play.

Wife, found a few slot machines she liked then migrated to Blazing Sevens and got two jackpot hits nearly back to back on the same machine:

Thanks to Wife, our trip was profitable. Her winnings were enough to offset my losses at the craps table. BTW, the Tall -All- Small was paying the traditional 1-35, 1-175 and 1-35.

When we got to Ocean, Wife handed the boothling her Seven Stars Companion Card and was given the highest level Black card, access to the Black Card lounge (IDs and cards checked) where we got a snack and some drinks, and a room offer (up to Sept 30 -- as if we will travel back from California by then). More important she was given $115 free play. I was told that $100 was the basic for a Black Card match but the computer automatically added $15 to it. I believe if Wife just used a CET Diamond card, she would have received only $50 in match play. I received the same amount.

My wife and I played video black jack (even money on a player 21!) and came away with $263 cash. While I was in Ocean, at the William Hill sportsbook I tried to cash in a winning ticket I bought at Vegas. I was soundly rejected.

I did later place a bet on the Seahawks over Denver for next week at Harrah's AC sportbook. But oddly it was a 115 to win 100 deal. I wonder if all NJ sports books have that as a regular vig as compared to the Nevada 110-100 deal.

On the way back, we had the limo driver drop off our college daughter at the Philly Amtrak as she was off to the dorm and then we flew out of Philly airport.

We had fun in AC and the match play (and upgrade of Seven Stars Companion prior to match) was a great opportunity I learned from this board.

Hey Fab. Sounds like a fun trip for you and your wife.
What do you mean by your “seven star retreat freeplay reimbursement”?
I’m taking my parents to vegas in a few weeks. Using my seven stars trip to get the $500 room credit for dining, etc. Driving, not flying. So I’m sacrificing the flight allowance, which my host pointed out to me, but she didn’t mention any alternative like last years flight cash or freeplay.

    Hi Chimp,

Great to hear from you again. When one goes on a Seven Stars Retreat, you can either work through you host and book your flight for two (up to $1,200) through Passport travel OR you can buy your own ticket then bring the receipt to Total Rewards when you arrive and then get the reimbursement in Free Play. I opted for Free Play, partly because it always takes a couple of days between my submission of itinerary and the booking through Passport travel. During that time delay, the ticket prices often go up.

This is in the 2018 Seven Stars terms and conditions for 2018 https://www.caesars.com/content/cet-...028.1512261095 :

"Airfare expense limited to $1,200, applicable toward coach round-trip tickets. Anything over $1,200 must be covered using a Seven Stars member’s Reward Credits®, cash or credit card, at the member’s option.

    · Airfare credit only valid towards the purchase of airfare to Total Rewards destinations. Any deviation may result in charges to the member's Credit Card or Reward Credit balance.

    · If the member books their own airfare, a receipt must be presented to the Total Rewards Center during or after their Retreat for a reimbursement in Casino Play."

PS Chimp I sent you a Private Message.

I don’t remember seeing 9/7 Double Bonus Aces other than at this trip. The house advantage was tolerable

Always love a FAB trip report. Great job as always.

It doesn't surprise me that Ocean was dumb enough to give your wife Ocean Black for her Seven Stars Companion Card. Ocean employees already have the reputation of being clueless. That's probably how that other mysterious $15 got on your wife's card.

Regarding your Seahawks -115 bet, did you check the other side of that bet? Was Denver perhaps -105? If not, then yeah, it sounds like they're charging 15-cent lines, which is awful.

Even money blackjack is terrrrrrrrible. You're better off playing mediocre video poker.

Didn't realize they were willing to give a limo to AC all the way from Philly. That's like 60 miles. Pretty good.

Still, I prefer having a car, so I probably wouldn't end up using it.

    Hi Dan:

    Thanks for the feedback.

I never checked the other side of the Seahawks bet to see what Denver's line looked like. Unfortunately, I did lose that bet.

I agree that even money BJ has bad odds, but it has a lot less volatility than Video Poker. I was more interested in just washing my promotional free play.

We did not spend all our time in Atlantic City. One day we took the train from AC to Philly round trip to tour Independence Hall. The AC train station is a nice five block walk from Ceasars (though a safe outlet mall area). The round trip was $17 per person. The train back to AC arrives to coincide with a bunch of free jitney vans waiting outside the station as express rides to specific casinos -- ours dropped off only at Claridge, Ballys and Ceasars.

We also caught a show in Harrahs and took the complimentary Total Rewards bus to get to that casino on the Marina area. The driver calls out "Seven Stars" then "Diamond" ect to board first. There were only seats for seven passengers in the van we took so some did not ride.

These are decent option if you do not want to rent a car.

    Hope you are feeling better.
