Thread: Golden Gate Players Cub gives me wrong person's card, and I unknowingly earned them offers on it

  1. #41
Dan... you'll have to explain to me the moral obligation of the casino when they handed you three cards and one of them wasn't yours.

I just don't understand how they have a moral obligation?

Should they help you out because you could be a good customer? Yes. I think something is in order. But for heaven's sake you put the wrong card in.

    Edited to add:

I just looked at your original post: "I ran VP for about 3 hours, losing $227 in the process. I was in for $300,"

Gish, it's not like you ran through ten thousand. What are you expecting?

Sometimes thereis an unreasonable customer who wants more than they deserve.....but dan only wanted what he deserved...he wasnt looking for anything above and beyond for "pain and suffering". Anyone could see that.

As a manager most of my life, I have been very creative to work around a customer that obviously got fucked. Meaning sometimes even giving something away for free...even if it overly enriched the customer.
Dan is obviously an idiot when it comes to players cards or he is just too lazy to actually open his eyes. He was given 3 cards which is a little excessive to begin with drawing some red flags towards the players. Three Cards isn't that big of a deal but it was an obvious, honest mistake that the worker bee gave him the wrong card on the the third one which was only one player card number away from his own. Dan obviously is running bad picking the 33% chance to actually play on that card but to not notice the difference on the card and not to notice the difference on the machines when your name pops up when you start playing is simply a player malfunction and the Casino is not responsible for that. Just like they are not actually responsible for lost or credits or tickets left in machines... they have disclaimers all over every Casino in Vegas telling players this. Not only that but if you get a players club flyer that they have at the players club desk they have about 25 rules and regulations of being a member and it is the players responsibility to check cards and everything related Casino. They owe him nothing.
If you weren't so hopped up on opioids you could have spit out that rambling assertion in 2 or 3 separated/cohesive sentences.

    Reality check time:

--GG slot club gives Dan 1 out of 3 wrong cards.
--Dan picks the 1 card of 3 cards that is wrong to play on.
--Dan is distracted and neglects to confirm that his first name pops up on the screen
--Dan requests retribution after playing very little coin-in on the wrong card
--Dan produces several big shot players cards in an effort to impress/convince for future
--This privately irritates GG employees but point is made
--Dan is promised something that probably won't happen, and his play was minimal anyway. If mgmt. cared, immediate compensation would have occurred.
--This was entertaining to read about, but it's less than peanuts and should be left at that

First, I want to reiterate what I said earlier in the week. Dan has some responsibility in this situation. He failed to check his cards when handed to him and failed a second time to see the name displayed was not his name. That is not 1 but 2 failures on Dan's part. Personally if it was me, I think I might have decided that constitutes enough fault on my part, that I would have accepted the consequences, or perhaps brought the error to GG's attention once, but when they didn't resolve it to my satisfaction, THEN accepted the consequences of my negligence in the situation.

So are YOU, Mr. previously banned member who was allowed back to participate in one specific thread, now in charge of what is relevant and worthy to be discussed, even by the site's owner?

If Dan was as tenacious in enforcing the rules of this site as he expects GG to be, this site might just go places. I.e. , why the fuck is Singer posting all over the place? My understanding is he is a banned member , let back into 2 threads at most.
This thread is the epitome of typical poker player mentality. Someone get me a taco....lol

Kewlj must you use every thread to attack Rob... or me?

Dan has an interesting issue. Want to expand it? What if a dealer paid you an extra chip... what's your moral obligation? Or are moral obligations only on the part of the casino?

I have discussed my view and solution for this topic a number of times, not sure if one of those was here or not. I would be happy to do so again, IF this were a reasonable site, reasonably discussing such topics. BUT it is not. With the current make-up of this site, if I were to discuss my position and solution, I would no doubt be called a "liar" and "hypocrite", so I won't bother.

    So don't bother.

Since kewlj indicated he agrees with it, either one of you can explain it.

You wouldn't understand MendelFool, like so many other things that you do not comprehend. Return to your regular programming of blowing your pension at the craps table and neglecting your family.

If you are really interested, you can research into the self obsessed and selfish world of poker. We all know that you are too lazy for that though.

    So MaxPen you insulted Dan.

It is the middle of the month MaxPen! Alan's money for the month is already gone. At least that is the way his own son tells it.

I wonder....has WoV reject maxp ever posted anything that can be construed as being of value here, other than his old lady-like complaining?

    Wise up, loser.

Kewlj hasn't contributed anything either. Of course he says he can't reveal AP secrets and what isn't a secret he won't discuss because this is a troll anti AP site.

I'm on Dan's side here. The Casino was at fault for handing him the wrong card which he unfortunately earned points on. This is the Casino's fault for handing him the wrong card. And then had the audacity to blame HIM. Oh hell no.

You Fucking Cockroach... How do you find the time to post this nonsense while doing all the Good in the world with you and your "Happy" little group of "Friends" always helping each other and humanity? I know you have the "Bad Group" of friends that are always Fucking each other over but you stay away from that circle. First off you don't even play at the Golden Gate and have no clue about the update in their system. Needless to say even before that update the machines still flashed a welcome and your name before play. You will be hard pressed to find machines in Vegas these days that don't have your name flash in some form or another. I am sure you know some but it isn't even close to the norm.

Get back to making your 500 dollar per hour plays with your boy toy AxelWolf or at the very least give up some information about AP or what is going on inside of the Casino or at the very least refrain from talking about what is going on inside of Casinos that you don't even visit or have a crew working at... "Knock, Knock... You Mother Fucker, You!"

Just because you agree with Dan doesn't mean that you and him are right in this situation and if you press it hard enough the Casino can just tell you to kiss off and not allow you inside or be a card carrying member. They have the right to exclude you at any time for any reason. Even if you are the mighty ZK who says they can't... they can and every time they see you they will escort you off the property. If I leave behind my card in a machine and you forget to play your card and earn me points you think they owe you?? They don't... it is the players responsibility to be aware at all times even if they pump you full of comped liquor. No difference if they gave you the wrong players card at the club or not... the player is responsible for their actions when they gamble no matter if they gave you the wrong card on purpose or on accident. Grow the Fuck up because this city is full of only wolves and if you are not a wolf you will get eaten alive.

Speaking of doctors....where's mickey. If I had to bet it would be in jail. Next, in an emergency room. Or, could be he's on one of his multi-day benders.

Now I see why he only makes "six figures" a year on nickel keno.
