Several casinos have switched to ergonomic friendly craps tables with shorter walls and higher table surfaces. The main reason is so dealers don't have to bend so much.

Unfortunately dice fly off the tables more often. And if you are short or sitting at the end of a table you can be hit and hurt.

There is an older couple that frequently play at Red Rock. The wife is in her early 70s (I think) and she told me her husband who has moderate Alzheimers is 87. He plays. He doesn't say anything and she has to remind him how to bet properly.

Both of them have chairs brought to them at the end of the table where they like to play.

The other day a fast baller was hurling the dice and twice they flew up and hit the old man in the face and once an eye was hit and he was hurt.

There is no need to fast pitch dice.

If you want a random roll just hit the pyramids. Having the dice hit people, chips on the layout, and fly off the table does nothing to help anyone's game.
