An open letter to Dan

Dan you are the sole owner and operator of this forum. I'm sure you will confirm that I have no say or influence over your decisions about how this forum operates, who is allowed to post and what is posted. I have no ability to edit, or delete or suspend any poster making objectionable comments. It is your forum.

I signed over the forum to you at your urging because frankly I wanted it deleted from the Internet. But you wanted to preserve the good information on the forum including the many articles you wrote.

Now I'm asking you to conserve the good articles you wrote and the worthy information and to delete the rest.

And if you won't delete the rest I want it known that I am not enabling the garbage posters but you are. For more than a year you and you alone have allowed and enabled all of the offensive material.

Good luck with your decision but you should do what I wanted to do which was pull the plug. If you're not pulling the plug it's your decision and your decision only who can post here and what they post and this decision was yours exclusively going back to when you took over the forum from me.

When I sell things to other people I never seem to show up on their doorstep and demand they do things with the stuff I sold them. I suppose that is what "AS IS" means.

That's exactly right Axel. Dan paid me ZERO for the forum. The forum was worthless except to Dan who didn't want to lose his articles... articles which are now 99% out of date if not 100% out of date.

Not only did Dan take on a worthless forum but he also lost the money I was paying him to host the forum on his server.

I hope this was all very worthwhile for Dan: allowing bigots, anti Gay rhetoric and anti semite slurs to fill his forum just so he could preserve his out of date articles about Caesars and MGM.

And now it's beyond worthless and has become a liability no one would touch... except maybe AxelWolf who wanted to buy it after I gave it to Dan so he could keep his articles alive.

This thread appears to be the next post after my post #30 in the "Proving One's Claims" thread. I guess folks might want to read that for possible additional context. It may have struck a reality nerve. It's always good to touch base with reality once in awhile. The logic of post #30 in "Proving One's Claims" seems sound. I wonder if Slap read it and drew the same conclusion.

Alan is a brick-headed degenerate gambler, has never learned anything here, and never will. But there is a big audience out there that won't post here but have read many answers by AP's. Hundreds, thousands of questions posed by Alan and the "gotcha" crowd on the subject of various gambling games and strategy have been very well answered by the AP's here.

That is the value of this site. I'm sure many readers who have the ability to see through the bullshit and get to the pertinent parts have learned some things. But not Alan and his crowd. The gambling strategy insight is of no interest to Alan. Typical of a degenerate. So now he wants to kill the forum. Pathetic.

Some people lose a little money on their website. Some people lose a fuckton at the craps table.

I have no doubt Dan can sell this site and recoup if he wanted to. I'm not sure someone can sell their -EV they have earned at the craps table. I suppose if they stick with it long enough eventully they will master the secrets of craps.

Contrary to what mickeycrimm wrote there aren't many people who come to this forum except by accident -- drawn here by keywords they search on the Internet. When I started this forum I embedded Google Analytics in the software. Dan did not remove it when he took over. I can see what's really going on here.

Those big numbers of viewers you see are people who came and for the most part leave. And I'm sure they leave disappointed and shocked.

Mickeycrimm do you know what a bounce rate is? The bounce rate is the percentage of visitors who come to a website and look at one page and leave or "bounce away." The bounce rate for the forum over the past week was 38 percent. And at times was as high as 69 percent.

Simply it means at least one third of the people who find this forum immediately leave. And sometimes two-thirds of the visitors never bother to look at a second page.

And just for giggles do you want to see the thread with more than 164,000 views? And it has nothing to do with APs or casinos but this is what drives so much traffic here:

Other than the so-called DI's, which is going way out on a limb to assume that has any efficacy, (like Jesus Christ being the son of God, I can't prove it wrong) why the hell would any AP care about an ergonomic craps table? I think everyone agrees that hitting people in the face with dice is a bad thing. I agree that people should not hit other people in the face with dice. I figured that my assent to that stance could reasonably be assumed, and so, didn't feel the need to comment.

What would you like me to say about ergonomic Craps tables? I'll re-read your OP and try to figure out something to add.
