Moses/Tater have you ever contributed one little once of worth while blackjack information. All your posts are about threatening folks. Okay you are probably a big dumb jock. Live by the sword. Die by the sword. You have not only threatened KJ, but also Norm and made many implied threats to folks over at BJTF. All your posts are about standing up and never backing down, never anything about blackjack.

    Midwest player writes:

Moses replies: There was a time when I made many contributions to blackjack information. But it's a column count which reduces volatilty and risk while increasing the overall profit in shorter period of time. No one wants to hear it so I stopped talking about it. I remember you would speak of your travels. Folks put you down for it, so you stopped. Correct?

Now I've had players want to meet me, like Big Jer, who knows both Tater and myself. APs have contacted me from the East Coast. Came to my home and visited for hours about blackjack. We went to dinner and had a very enjoyable day.

But you've got guys like KJ and Flash that impose their will on others. Use several different handles. Whatever they could do to deceive others. I simply called their bluff like many on this forum do. And they don't like it.

You may be right. I may die by the sword. But at least it will be for something that is good, right, and something I believe in.

Midwest Player: Have you ever walked across the street to help a young girl being robbed? Funny thing, when I did. Others followed.
How you ever stood at a crossing light while three thugs were ganging up on a teenage girl and her little sister? Everyone else crossed the street shaking their heads in disgust. The light changed twice while people passed by. I stayed. And when I heard them say we'll take you in the alley and it will be 3 on 2? I simply raised 3 fingers. The got my message. Then I waited with the girls for the parents to come.

I could go on with several stories as these are almost weekly occurances. Do get me wrong, I'm no hero. Sometimes I wish I could've looked the other way or walked across with the rest of the group. But I can't. I really don't know why.

Maybe you saw on the news recently were this guy shoved some one for yelling at his wife for being parked in a handicap parking spot. The guy pulled out a gun and blew him away. I'm not saying that was right, but it sounds like you are constantly looking for a fight. Someday you will meet your match. Remember, live by the sword, die by the sword.

Moses replies: My friend Tater has been banned from that website. But here is his response.

I can't speak for Moses. But the Tater can't get something out of his head. Maybe you can help. One night I was sitting in the sportsbook. This elderly gent was drunk and flashing his cash. These two punks befriended him. I knew they were going to rob him. I think I told myself he shouldn't have been flashing his cash in the first place.

Now, I could've easily wiped out those two punks. Moses would have IMO. But I went on about my own business. What I didn't know until the next day was they were going to beat him to a pulp. So you tell me Midwest Player. How do I GET THAT OUT OF MY HEAD?

    Midwest player writes ^:

Moses replies; As for Norm? He banned Tater and my lady friend for being my socks. There were causing no trouble whatsoever. Tater told a couple of jokes. My lady has met some of the APs. She was in between jobs at the time so it gave her something to do. Flash, typically started bullying them like he does all newbies.

Yes. I emailed Norm to question why they were banned and not Flash. BTW, those posts and threads were deleted by Norm I also went on to say I'd read some of the vile stuff KJ and others had written about him on other forums. I called direct. The only time in 5 years. Flash was gathering email info of other posters and sending them as a blanket. So I knew how to reach everyone and so did they. I wanted to know how he got that personal information.

Norm was very defensive. He spoke to this child molestation post that someone else had written many times. I cut him short because I didn't believe the accusation was true and it wasn't the purpose of my call. He hung up 3 times and then started with the condescending remarks like "you're sad, very sad." I simply stated that if we were face to face he would not be calling me sad and probably be cleaning the crap running down the back of his leg if he did. So I suppose that's a threat?

Midwest Player, what's up? You sign up for this forum, make 4 posts and then go away?

You ask me a question on a website where I can't answer and you know it. Why didn't you post the same question here where you knew I could answer? Are you afraid of these guys because they are not part of your group?

FWIW, IMO this a great forum with a great bunch of guys. They keep it real.

Your little groupie guys can sound "really good." It's just nothing is real.

Since Midwest Player has an opinion on how the world is suppose to work. Consider this scenario. I live in the entitlement capital of the world. So someone having their handout is a daily routine, if not more.

Anyway, I'm walking out the grocery store, an elderly guy walks up to give his hard luck story will I'm standing holding groceries. Long story short, he shows me his ID, claims he his not a homeless person, and shows me a wristband to prove he was in the hospital. Anyway, I said "jump in, I will drive you down to the bus station, buy you a ticket home, and you can send me a check. (I wasn't counting on it.) Now, he's got excuses, his bag is at a ladies apartment, she get home until late etc.etc. So he needs $21. I gave him $5 so he'd STFU and I could get my melting items home.

I would have rather spent $50 on a bus ticket than throw away $5 on his bullshit. Comments?

    Yeah, I have a comment.

I wouldn't give him or any other beggar a dime.

"I don't know you, I don't give a flying fuck about you, so why should I give you money?"

There's always a flow chart that gets followed depending on the answers you give. I was walking to the casino the other day and a millennial age hustler (also on foot) asks "are you going to the casino ?" I say yes. The next item on the flow chart based on that response was "Do you have a phone ?" I say (the truth) "not on me". So the "no" on having a phone on my person gets to the part of the flow chart where I am asked "Know anyone that needs a phone?", to which I said (the truth) "No". Then he mumbles something about being broke and needing $5, but I slowed my pace and ignored him. He mumbled something else which I didn't here and then he was off.

Just 20 minutes ago, had a disgusting, fat woman ask me and a few others in a casino if I was interested in buying a cigarette. I guess gambling is more important than smoking sometimes.

On the flipside. I was sitting in a sportsbook. It's what I do between sessions or at the end of the day to relax.

There was a guy with dark glasses seemingly staring in one direction which was directly at a young lady. She was getting some younger guys fired up at the guy. Then his arm slid off the chair and his head would drop to the side. He looked liked a guy who'd had way too much to drink.

I figured what the hell. So I got him a glass of water and a cup of coffee. I shook his arm a little. There was something about the way he lifted his glasses and looked me in the eye and said "thank you." I knew he hadn't been drinking. Problably got lost when he got of the bus. I ask him if he wanted something to eat. He said "no." Then I ask him how long it had been since he has had something to eat. He said he didn't remember.

So I went to the deli and brought a bread with vegatable beef soup and another water and cup of coffee. He thanked me again and shook my hand this time. Then he sat straight up in his chair, prayed, tucked his napkin in his shirt, and used his silverware to eat like a man. He ate every bite and this seemed to give him energy. We finished he got up, threw away his plate, and napkin etc etc. Then just walked away. I'd like to think maybe I helped someone along life's way.

I hope the guy today doesn't cloud my vision to the next person that really needs a helping hand. If a very fine line IMO.

Thanks to Mr V. I realize now the 2nd guy wasn't begging. I think that is how to tell the difference?

I'm basically a sucker for anything I find comical, especially if it's a relatively cheap laugh.

I'm walking along one of the pathways over the Las Vegas Strip and a few gentlemen are standing by a boombox CD player which is blasting some rap track. They've got it turned up fairly loud, but it's midday on the Strip, so you've got to be reasonably close to it to be able to hear it.

As I approach it, before I'd even really heard any more than perhaps one or two lyrical stanzas, one of the two gentleman approaches me and asks, "Do you like that song?"

Bewildered, I respond, "I don't know, I guess. I haven't really heard much of it. It blended in with everything else until just now."

Anyway, there are so many people out and about that I didn't see any reason to be impolite or to be overly guarded in this scenario. I always keep my wallet in my front pocket, anyway, so I have no real concern about being pickpocketed. Just to be really safe, I put my hand over my pocket and covertly press my wallet to my thigh in case this is that kind of set up...even though I would be far from the best target for that.

After about two minutes the gentleman asks, "So, did you like it?"

I decide to be charitable, "Yeah, it was fine."

Almost as if he didn't hear my response, "You know, I worked with Nelly once or twice back in the day. Opened for Sisqo (I think he said) in a small place in California, you probably don't know it. Anyway, these are all my tracks and you can get yourself this CD for $3.00."

"No thanks, I'm honestly not a huge rap fan."

(Pulling out a permanent marker) "What if I sign it at no charge?"

I bought a $3 autographed rap CD that I would go on to throw away as soon as I was out of sight.

I couldn't help myself. The notion that him signing it would add any value whatsoever to that CD just struck me as so absurdly hilarious that I felt I OWED him $3 for the uproarious laughter that I was working so hard to stifle until out of his earshot. And, I did laugh uproariously, probably the best laugh I had year-to-date. I was still chuckling about it to myself as I tossed that CD in the trash. I've paid more than that to go to places billed as, "Comedy shows," at which I didn't laugh once.

Honestly, I kind of wish I still had the CD, even though I personally know no fewer than five people who can rap considerably better than that two minute sample I heard. None of them are Sisqo or Nelly, though, personages that the guy has apparently rolled with.

Great story M146. I think maybe I ran into that same guy or a similar situation.

During Christmas season every year there is a guy that puts on a tuxedo and plays Christmas carols on his flute or clarinet. No matter how cold or snowing it gets. He is out there everynight. That's the only time of year I ever see the guy. Makes a person wonder. I alway try to drop some change in his hat.

There's some old scamming derelict up here that begs on the roadside, using a variety of different ploys.

Always a cardboard sign, but with a different message.

Sometimes it says he's a disabled vet; sometimes it says he needs rent money.

He's a regular, same spot for a couple years.

The guy has long white hair and beard, so when xmas comes around he puts on a Santa suit and holds a "ho ho ho" cardboard sign at the offramp.

Fucking beggars; ought to round them all up and put them to work on poor farms.

    Have they no shame?

Begging in America: christ on a fucking crutch!

I remember a kind of funny anecdote about 17 years ago. A guy near an overpass who looked like a bummy Jesus held up a sign saying something like,"I am homeless and hungry. Will work for food." The other side said,"The truth is,I just really want a beer." My sister and I had a good laugh at his honesty.

Help me see trouble long before it gets here. Then give me the wisdom to know what to do and the courage to do it.

    There you go Midwest Player.

Moses, I don't talk about my local casinos. I still often do trip reports on distant casinos. I have received remarks from several posters that they enjoy them very much. However, I usually don't post these reports on the free forums. You will find many of my trip reports on the paid section of BJ21.

If I am walking and someone who i dont know from shit wants me to stop.....fuck it...i keep walking without eye contact. I dont know if he is "a gentleman". And if I did stop and give him 3 dollars...I would laugh hysterically as well .....at myself for being an easy mark. But I would have been used to in in a lifetime of being a mark. I probably would own 2-3 timeshares, and have a pending delivery of an envelope of cash from a prince located in nigeria on its way.

As far as the dude that needed some soup. I remeber watching a race in Harrahs reno, and i nodded off, sitting in a chair...and within 3 min security came over and said I couldnt close my eyes. That was fast. But I do understand the rule.

Maybe it was polls I was thinking about.

Moses/Tater mentioned over at Vegas Talk he got banned from this site. Tater when are you ever going to learn you can't go around threatening people. It takes a real man to be able to back down and walk away from a situation especially if it is just some silly insult on an internet site.
    Midwest player writes:

Moses relies; Nobody has threatened anyone. Certainly not Tater. The Tater is about twice my size and a big teddy bear. We are about as opposite as you can get. BigJer has met us both and has now been explained several times. I came at KJ really hard on an another website which you don't like. IF you happen to read KJs attacks on Norm, there is no way he should've expected to be welcomed back.

So you like to watch the world go by. No? The other day I come to a stop sign, near my house, and notice a staple gun in the middle of the intersection. I stop, get out, and pick it up. About a mile ahead, I notice a paint truck with the roll up still open. I hauled ass to catch him and got to him just before he entered the exit to get on the freeway. After first, he was pissed off that I pulled him over. Sure, there could've been one helluva fight between us. However, when I handed him his staple gun and showed he'd left his door up. He instantly became very grateful. Can you imagine if he'd entered onto the freeway with tools flying out the back at 65 mph?

I wondered why I was the only one to notice. So IF I would've taken one on the jaw to save lives - then yes, I will take that trade.

Yep, that is usually the norm. But I'd say 30 minutes passed by. We watched a hooker in a negotiation gone bad one night. She stands up and says "hey, if you want this package you're going to have to pay for it." We call that the two minute warning and set our watches. Security showed up at about the 1.45 mark. lol
