Thread: Any thoughts on the Nike controversy?

  1. #1
I've been a Nike customer as long as I can remember.
    NOT ANYMORE.
Time to buy new shoes. Adidas here I come.

I only wear sneakers to work out so they last me a long time. My current pair is Nike. They are pretty new and have a lot of wear left in them so I will be using them for a while.
I think Nike's decision to hire that fellow was stupid and I won't be buying any more of their shoes, but I will continue to wear these ones until they are no longer useful. Burning fully functional shoes, as I have seen some do, is wasteful.
Barring some unanticipated shoe-destroying event, when I need new sneakers in a year or so I won't even bother trying on the Nikes. I always have to start from scratch every time I need a new pair anyway because the styles change so much and so frequently.

I don't give a rats ass about the politics involved. Nike are the most comfortable shoes for me and will only buy them. Other people are not going to affect my decision.

    What, Me Worry?

I am a New Balance person. They simply make the best running shoes in my opinion. It's a plus that they have 5 factories in this country. Although, I am sure a lot of there stuff is made overseas.

I just bought the ugliest pair that is green.
I call them my "Let It Ride" Shoes.
You have to see the movie Let it Ride to understand.
They cost 50 dollars because nobody wanted that color.
I think they are regularly 90 to 110.
    Really comfortable shoe!
Let me see if I can snap you a picture of the ugliest shoes I have ever worn or owned.

I thought they were NB but they are Adidas.
