Thread: Bum Time Bonus

  1. #1
I heard that Stations changed the way the Wheel of Fortune Bonus shoots down.
Apparently the way it was before if you were betting more per spin you had a greater chance to win.
I have been told Stations changed the structure of the odds about 3 months ago.
Now everyone is on an even playing field.
The Bum who just sticks his card in and doesn't play a penny has the same chance as a player betting 50 dollars a spin.
Anyone care to confirm or refute this information?

I asked about how the computer supposedly picks a winner from the approximately 2900 machines in the casino. I was told that the computer will pick "a winning hand" as the jackpot winner. HOWEVER this did not come from a high level source and came from a floor worker.

But if true it means you must be an active player.

To win the free play the only requirement is that your card must be "active" and I don't know if that means any play within any period of time is required or not.

IME, your card won't be "active" for long if you just stick it in and don't play. I think it's only about 10-15 seconds of idle time before the indicator starts blinking; it often happens to me when I'm checking my phone, etc.

I've gone several minutes between bets and my card doesn't blink. For example, when taking a phone call.

Some places time the card out within 15 seconds and some don't. I've also seen some that stay active with no play for 15 minutes or more, and/or until you remove the card.

So do the bums look for the machines where the cards stay active the longest?
Hate crime hoaxes? The left's demand for biggots greatly exceeds the supply.

Isn't it a must hit? It has to hit by a certain number, right?

Never thought of that but if monet found a way to get an edge on the big drawings at Stations it might be a good idea.

A week ago Saturday night I went to Red Rock for a late dinner and the Bonus Drawing was north of $19,800 and it must hit by $20,000. I sat down at a 5-cent VP machine and stuck in $20 and played one coin at a time on 6/5 Bonus. I figured my odds were 1/2900 of winning.

Well at about $19,830 someone won. I had $13 left and scored $25 free play. Then got dinner using the $400 in comps I won from the August drawing.

By the way the maximum free play for having an active card is $100. The player to my left got $5 and the player on my right got $45. We were all on the same video poker games.

So you actually answer debt collection phone calls?

I just walked into Red Rock and here's the Bonus. By the way I have $83 remaining on my $400 of dining credits. This advantage play continues. LOL

It's a "must hit" and operates the same way as the ones I write about in the Mystery Progressives thread.

It is just like when they give away the cars per property.
That was good for the first four days because the meter was set far too fast.
Some guys actually hit multiple cars.
They slowed it way down on day 5.

After the Car Promotion they started this Wheel of Fortune Promo with the same concept.
It must hit on or by 20,000 dollars.
    It starts at 10,000 dollars.
For a long time it worked a different way.
You had an edge if you bet more per spin compared to just sticking your card in from my understanding.
Now they changed the odds a few months ago where it does not matter what you play or how much you play or if you play at all.
Anyone with an active card has an equal chance at the shoot down.
I was playing some crazy game at Fiesta Henderson a few days ago at 3 am and I'd say the whole place had less than 10 players.
Somehow I didn't get the 13k... I was kinda sad lol

Many of the Nits wait for it to get to mid or high 19k and they go to that property and hammer it or they used to.
Now you don't have to hammer it. You just play 1 penny per spin or some shit like that.
They used to Nit it up around 18,500 but now they really got tight and wait for high 19k.

I wouldn't exactly say this is like your mystery thread though.
However I suppose it follows the same concept except you can't lock it down like some stand alone progressive.

You were a lot longer than 1/2900.

There are 2900 machines at Red Rock. If each machine had an equal chance I had 1/2900 chances. I don't know if your chance varied with the amount bet. Monet said he heard it doesn't matter. I don't know.

The bonus hit while I was having dinner at about a hundred dollars north of the amount in the photo I took.

Monet if you're correct that all machines now have an equal chance of winning I could understand getting a hundred or more players cards, inserting them in machines along with $1 and re-inserting as necessary to keep them eligible to win. At the worst you'd score some free play. My only question on the free play is if you use two or more cards on your account does each card get free play or only one card?

By the way I don't know of any rule against a single player playing multiple machines with a card in each machine. So you really could improve your odds if all machines are equal.

Whether EACH card gets the free play is the question.
