Since Frank Scobelete is credited with the term poppy for describing sub par casino players, and since Frank is an advocate of dice influencing, are all you non-believers in DI also ploppies?

Frank became a ploppy himself!
Edit: I take that back. He's ALWAYS been one!! Even Grosjean in Exhibit CAA advises NEVER purchasing any of his products.
I don't know about retiring from DI. I'm on his mailing list and I still get stories about The Captain. One arrived last week.
Frank hasnt posted here in quite a while.
This is Barney,
The LID use to play with Captain at Atlantic City in the 82. Captain told LID about how dangerous "ploppies" can be in casino. He told LID you know what a ploppy is when you see one. Below is last picture of the Captain taken with the LID as well a picture of "ploppy".
One of these personages is a ploppy:
The LID and the Captain in most happy days:
Why is Frank a ploppy? Because he recommends stupid stuff like the Martingale and other worthless betting systems on roulette. AP's would NEVER do this.

I don't know anything about Frank Scoblete's life other than he has been in the selling gambling stuff business like a lot of other failed gamblers. However axel, your comment about guys retiring from making money shows your total and complete inexperience with what kind of life exists outside of being a casino rat.
Ever hear of people who actually worked real jobs for years making all sorts of money, then retired with lucrative pensions, and 401k draws at-will, complete with fully paid health insurance....all for life? I know, it's a concept none of your bunch can comprehend, even though it is the most valuable of advantage plays ever devised.
Scoblete has previously worked as a publisher, editor, actor, teacher and writer.
His yarns about "the captain of craps" are works of fiction, written solely to make a buck, truth be damned.
Scoblete has done more harm than good to recreational gambling due to his inflaming the desperate and the deluded with False Hope.
He's getting old now and preparing to Seven Out for his final roll.
Meh.
What, Me Worry?
Delusions of a Bridge Dweller. Poor Robbie's life story. Tales from the campsite about pensions is getting old. Your envy of and obsession with the imaginary pensioner is borderline pathological.
I'll say it again. While I believe DI is possible I have only seen three and maybe four players who I would consider actually have the skill.
Sure if you can't do it you should realize you can't and play appropriately.
All an irritated max is saying Alan is how annoyed and agitated he keeps getting whenever I bring up the vastly superior "advantage play" people like my wife and I made by working in the very lucrative aerospace and Fed Govt industries. When he compares the relatively puny, unproductive, wasted lives so-called casino rat "AP's" lead along with no future whatsoever other than more of the same embarrassment until they step into their early graves from being around all the filth and germs inside the casinos, OF COURSE an anonymous bum like him is going to try his best to re-arrange the truth within his mind.
Uhhhhh.....WHAAAAT?! Of course there are successful people who aren’t APs or gamblers. That’s gotta he the most retarded question ever. People are successful in all sorts of different ventures. People who gamble sometimes aren’t necessarily fools, liars, cheats, scroundrals, or whatever you think we think of them. Some can be described that way, but that’s usually the degenerates who gamble every day or nearly that much.
Of course there are going to be benefits to working for someone else and getting insurance, 401k, pensions, and security of income. That doesn’t mean working a job is necessarily better than APing. At the same time, it doesn’t mean APing is better than having a job. Different people in different situations.

Max again proves how under-educated he is Are you sure you're not mickey, who's probably in jail again right now? What Alan was saying is that it is overwhelmingly unlikely that there are many successful AP's walking around, while it is highly likely that there are a vast number of working class people that have been very successful throughout life.
If you are comparing the two side by side, then there are definitely going to be many more successful working class people than successful APs. I mean, the same can be said for just about anything, really. There are far more successful working class people than there are successful NFL players. Far more successful working people than there are successful SCUBA instructors, or successful hedge fund managers, or successful <fill in the blank>.
