RS__ it's not called "EV" when you went for the 10% EI bonus. That's called "real money".
If you took the bonus, you got the whole amount ($440) in freeplay. If there was a prime example of “EV vs real money”, I think this would be it, or pretty close to it.
Wait a second. If you brought in $400 and got a $40 bonus how could you get $440 in free play? Didn't you just give them $400???

I think he's saying that they converted his $400 in coins into $440 in free play. If that's the case, it was a sucker promotion.

Yeah, the $400 in coins would turn into $440 in FP.

What kind of AP math is that?

If you brought in $400 and they gave you $440 of free play, you really only got $40 of free play.

Unless you got $400 cash plus $440 of free play?

    Now which is it?

    LOL...classic gotcha.

You've never had a losing year, the casino turned your cash into free play first,
so anything you lost was only free play.

    Okay, so RS__ goofed.

Still, getting a 10-percent bonus is still a good deal.

Holy shit, you're dense. The $400 becomes $440 free-play. Run the $440 through once. I don't remember the best games to play there, but I remember there being the 98.9% DW. 98.9% * $440 = $435.16. So your EV is $35.16.

Okay. So you bring in $400 of coins, and you get $400 of cash plus another $440 of free play? Is that what you're saying?

Otherwise, if you're getting $440 from the casino, you PAID FOR $400 with the coins you brought in.

    Which is it?

You don't get $400 in cash. The only thing you get back is $440 in free-play, which you have to pay for with $400. If you can't understand what I'm saying, I bolded the answer in your post.

RS keeps writing "free play" when he means "slot play".

But as the Sheldon Cooper of his crew, he can never admit to making a mistake,
not here and not to you anyway.

It's obviously not free play if you use currency to pay for it,
but he's too dense to comprehend that.

    Typical AP mentality I suppose.

The reason you don't know what it means is because you are on the crew led by MendelFool. The Tard Brigade aka/Crash Helmet Crew has once again demonstrated there poor comprehensive and logic abilities with not being able to understand the value in buying $440 in play for $400. You yourself called it a sucker bet.

What value is there in something that's not worth the money?...you hand job.

If it isn't worth anything why doesn't every casino offer it?
Why did they shut it down?
Why does RS never know or remember what is going on in Vegas?

    I already explained the offer.
The best game for the last year it was up was the 16/10 deuces and you could run it off from quarters up to 5 dollar VP.
If you think running 5 to 10 people through the gauntlet daily isn't worth anything I can't really help nor explain it to you.
They also sent plenty of mailers and had daily kiosk spins and other things.
Once again 16/10 deuces is 99.7% return flat.
Some of those machines said they didn't take free play but they did.
Obvious goof from the Casino Side.

Before this Promotion they had better things and over 100% Ten Play games flat.
They threw a bunch of players out for taking advantage of them.

Like I said before... it doesn't matter. This is old news and you can't do it anymore over there.
However when you see things like this pop up from time to time it can help you if you know how to exploit it.

No reason to help the Helmet Crew out anyways.
They don't care and they don't believe.
They want to act like they caught RS like he wasn't explaining the play or that the play is no good.
Anytime a Casino wants to give me free play for money up front I will be happy to oblige.

The Helmet Crew is correct that this type of play is no good for them.
Especially the way Alan and the rest of the Crew plays Free Play Strategy.
They would never be able to get over 100% Return on their investment even with a 10% offer.

You can try to explain how you carried out this play.

$400 in quarters weighs 20 lbs.

So what were you doing, collecting and then cashing in 200 lbs of quarters daily
to put 10 people on the play?

How long did it take to gather 200 lbs of quarters every day?

You carried them around in buckets in your trunk,
and lugged them into Ellis Island day after day?

The expected profit was $350 per day?

    Did you pay your players?

How long did you do this?

I'll gladly buy freeplay at 11 for 10 all day long. Sell me a million dollars worth. Please.
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ

I'm just amazed at this AP math. First of all, coach is correct when he used the term "slot play."

So let's see if the APs will agree to this:

When you bring in $400 of coin, you receive $400 of SLOT PLAY (which is nothing more than payment for your $400 of coins) PLUS you get $40 of FREE PLAY.

Do our distinguished friends agree with this?

Frankly, I see nothing wrong with doing this on a daily basis if there's a nearby bank to get the coins. Heck, I drive to a casino for $20 of free play.

Why are you attacking me Crimm? I didn't disagree with the coin play at all. You just want to troll me.

Freeplay is the same thing as slot play. I think it’s near unanimous people refer to them as freeplay.
