Thread: What Are The Odds

  1. #1
Now that most of the BS is over with (except for the usual slug-like and out-of-work libtards still protesting just to do something) will Judge Kavanaugh become Justice Kavanaugh? In other words, will the key undecideds judge this guy on what he may or may not have done as a minor in high school....or will they judge him based on his ability to graduate first in his classes at Yale undergraduate and Yale Law School, as well on his exemplary, blemish-free, spotless and widely praised years of family, community, and legal work since?

What does common sense say to do?

  2. #2
Common sense has nothing to do with it.

He'll be confirmed only because the Republicans want one of their own confirmed before the upcoming mid-terms.

This dog and pony show has been mildly entertaining yet predictable from the very beginning.

Personally, I think he's a douche, but douche-ness has never prevented people from being confirmed to the Supremes.

    Just politics as usual.

Keep the California flake-inspired liberal lies and whining coming V---it's EXACTLY the type of P-A-I-N those of us who trust in legitimacy and simple common sense are looking for!

I agree common sense has nothing to do with it, but the other way. Common sense says, obviously, he should be voted into being a justice, but that doesn’t mean there are plenty of Dems who’ll vote “no” because they can’t gef over the fact that an allegation was made (despite there being zero evidence to support Ford, she doesn’t know up from down, and the fact it’s a combination of a total witch hunt and stalling tactics).

MrsV, why do you think he’s a douche?

It was hard to take this whole shit show seriously. Yes, I got mad when I heard the ridiculous allegations without any evidence or corroboration, but it was so obvious from the start that smear, stall and delay were the play calls of the day. Democrats while not having the votes, took a 500-1 long shot against, and almost pulled off stopping confirmation. Total dishonesty, facts don’t matter, and no presumption of innocence.

Through all the allegations, charges. Interviews, trial, Ted Bundy never raised his voice, never spoke a word in anger. He remained calm throughout the ordeal. Unlike Kavanaugh, Ted Bundy had the right temperment to be on the SCOTUS. To bad he died.

    No corroboration?

She disclosed details of the event to her therapist many years ago, long before "Cry baby Kavanaugh" was in the public eye.

As for him being a douche: I believe her testimony: he lied, not just about trying to fuck her but about his drinking history and alleged celibacy.

I wouldn't hire him to mow my lawn, much less pass judgment, and it's not just me: lots of leading lights in the legal profession think he shoudn't be confirmed due to character deficiencies.

Now to watch the payback unfold.

Her telling her therapist about it years ago just means this isn’t completely made up. Victims accuse the wrong people all the time, even if they truly believe they’re right. Maybe he did it, but “maybe” isn’t good enough.

How did he lie about his drinking and celibacy? Has it been confirmed that he blacks out and had sex earlier than suggested? I don’t mean some cockamamie “logic” like “everyone who drinks blacks out”.

Not sure what you mean by “payback”. We’re all on the same team, we want whatever is best for the USA.

I watched two people who knew Kavanaugh back in the day talk about how he got drunk frequently, to the point of him not remembering, usually weekends and sometimes weekdays.

As for celibacy, I find it impossible to believe that a rich spoiled jock like him who was accused of sexual assault never had it off with a woman; maybe he preferred fucking pumpkins?

The payback will come when he gets to rule on cases near and dear to the liberals.

It's a damned shame the court has gotten so politicized in the last couple of decades; oh sure politics always played a role in selecting a judge but the divisiveness seems unprecedented, at least in my life time.

I know plenty people that have gotten drunk frequently, especially in college. 2 of them, I don’t think they’ve ever blacked out. It’s kinda amazing how they can have a perfect recollection of the night before, even though they were stumbling all over themselves, throwing up, the whole 10 yards.

Kavanaugh also graduated top of his class. It’s hard to believe someone could do so well in school but also drink so much, isn’t it? But hey, it happens.

So yeah, unless you have something better than “his friends said he got really drunk....”, I’m not going to take ya seriously.

What better proof is there than statements from eye witnesses?

FWIW the issue is NOT whether he drank and got drunk.

No, the concern is that he testified that while he enjoyed beer he didn't drink to get drunk, and always had his wits about him.

People who knew him dispute that claim, saying he was a frequent, hard care drinker who would lose self-control when drunk.

Which would be fine, except he lied about it; if he lied about that, then what about his claim of innocence re: sexual assault?

Whatever, I am not trying to convince you or anybody else, it's just the way I see it.

V's ideology has him believing bullshit. Blasey Ford is a criminal fraud. The 2nd front door she said she put on her home in 2012 because of paranoia? It was installed in 2008 so they could run a marriage counseling service out of their home.

Blasey Ford's fear of flying? Her ex boyfriend said she frequently flew back and forth to and from Hawaii. Lefty idiots think we're stupid enough to fall for the con job.

Blasey Ford's ex boyfriend said she lived for years in a small apartment with just one door. Criminal fraud.

Remember her testimony on her lie detector test? "There was this machine and....and some wires were coming out of it." Like she was oblivious to what it was. Former students say she prepped them for lie detector tests. Criminal Fraud.

Blasey Ford can't remember the year, the location, how she got there, how she got home. And left her best friend in the rape house without warning. Criminal fraud.

Leland Keyser, Ford's best friend that supposedly got left at the rape house said she didn't know Kavanaugh and never met him.

Keyser said she was pressured by a Ford friend, an FBI agent, to corroborate Ford's story. She wouldn't do it.

Might be your best post ever. "To bad he died", hilarious.
