But after a ton of hard work and marrying a woman who had the same constitution about her work ethic as mine (40 years ago today BTW....) there has never been any reason to cut corners on vehicles just because of some middle and low-class phobia about how much a new car depreciates once you drive it off the lot.

It's the same thing for people who choose the cheaper house brands: they go thru all sorts of gyrations trying to justify their lousy choices to themselves like MrV does with old cars, when shopping in supermarkets just to save a buck.
