Remember, the same false rumors were rampantly spread around by the phonies and pretend artists on WoV during the Revel promo. They regularly wait to pounce on story-telling opportunities just to push their silly ap agenda all the time.
Wise up.
And what exactly was false about the Revel stories going around at the time?
Some people made money, others got screwed, some acted stupid, and Dancer sold people out for personal gain.
That about covers it.
As for what happened at MGM more details are needed. As I posted elsewhere, I do believe some are crossing over into the “Creator” side. Legitimate AP’s should consider them Garbage and those I know do. They ruin it for everyone and this may or may not have happened here. Again I have no clue, but i have zero concerns for someone trying to interfere with a regular player to get them off a machine.
Some may say it opens up the casino to going after anyone for any reason, but these POS deserve everything that happens to them if they are truly creators.
That said, I’m interested in more details on Mickey’s post.
Boz, as dumb as some of you people think I am for the way I approach vp, I know the numbers as well as anybody. I went in on this promo with a friend of mine who's a LV AP who has never bothered with any internet forums, which he told me is how true AP's go about their business.
It was simple: I heard about it so I did what I'm trained to do: detailed research first. Then I contacted my buddy. We went in for $50k each. I did all the admin. work, he flew to AC and would stay at my sister's guest house outside Philly during that spread-out free play period if it were needed. I in turn made several calls to Revel and obtained the complete set of rules and regulations governing this very lucrative promotion. He did not go to AC until I told him I fully understood everything.
He won just over $8k playing his way and mine as best he could, so there was no need to stay on. I had set an $8k profit goal, which he didn't like but agreed to do. I read a lot of false stories on WoV about how all these AP's "hammered the promo to death so they were told to leave" but what really happened is everyone who got stopped or thrown out was breaking the rules in one way or the other. My friend confirmed that and I confirmed that over the phone.
I've heard the bit about Dancer, but it really had no effect on the overall promotion. Revel knew this would attract a myriad of AP's from anywhere and everywhere. Amazing that they ruined it for themselves by either not being properly prepared, or by thinking they could get away with skirting the rules. The purpose of this promo of course, was to keep as many heavily bankrolled players around for as long as possible, expecting play far beyond the $100k in rebate. Which is why they spread it out of course.
