Thread: Strong Arm Removal at MGM

Mickeycrimm I'm sure the casino gave Rob the appropriate tax forms. Why wouldn't the casino do that?

A more interesting question surrounds what redietz posted about using off shore books to avoid US taxes.

Coach, redietz could easily have a 5k profit at VP playing only quarters and never having a W2G. His 5k was over years of play so small profits could add up. I think the W2G is a non issue here.

The same thing goes for Rob. If he had a $1500 or $2500 win goal each trip he could achieve that on $5 Bonus ($25 per play) without a W2G.

I recall that he wrote some time ago about how he got that far into the plus column.

All gambling winnings are potentially taxable, but when Singer talks about "hitting a taxable" it's clear what he's talking about...and he was obviously not talking about betting horses.

It turns out I have a friend, a Cali AP, who is friends with the victim at Excalibur. The victim told him that he was thrown to the floor and placed in a choke hold after he was handcuffed and they kept slamming his head into the floor because he wouldn't answer questions. Mlife has formed Emergency Response Teams in the wake of the Las Vegas Shooting. It was an ERT than confronted the victim. They are still advertising for team members if anyone is interested.

They are obviously poorly trained at this point. But enough lawsuits might straighten them up.

Whoa, an "emergency response team" was called in to deal with a slot AP?

    What was the "emergency?"

Seems to me like hiring a bunch of ex-Metro / Swat guys, giving them minimal training as to casino issues and then using them to pummel and beat slot patrons is a bit extreme, but hey, what happens in Vegas gets settled out of court, eh?

    see ERT article: https://news3lv.com/news/local/mgm-r...post-1-october

    Just more work for Nersesian.

They slammed an AP's head to the floor? An AP who was at a slot machine?.

Yes, but it is doubtful the ERT knew anything about him being an AP. And they probably don't know anything about slot AP's in general. The were just told to remove someone.

So now this is about an ERT going too far because they were told to remove someone and had no idea it was an AP? So it could have been a "ploppie" who didn't want to give up a machine to grandma? In other words ANY customer could have been manhandled and it wasn't directed as an attack on an AP?

So instead of labeling as an attack on an AP it could have been labeled as a strong arm removal of a person with red hair, or blue eyes, or a male, or a low level players club member, or someone wearing a green sweater?

Bottom line: an ERT did the wrong thing and APS are not being strongarmed just because they're APs?

Alan, I know of a case years ago where a slot hustler was 86'd from Harrah's Tahoe. He wasn't trespassed just told he wasn't welcome on the property anymore. So he goes down the street to Bill's Casino where he was quickly detained and spent the night in jail. Bill's was owned by Harrah's. The guy said he wasn't aware of that and that Harrah's did not tell him he was 86'd from any other properties. However, the prosecutor took it easy on him offering a fine of just $150 so he took the deal. In hindsight the prosecutor probably offered such a low fine because he knew he had a weak case.

I think what we have with Mlife is the guy was trespassed from Luxor then went to Excalibur, another Mlife property. Excalibur surveillance picked him up and sent in the goons. At this point I think the proper name for the ERT's is "Goon Squads."

The funny thing is you don't see this story in the local media.

There are several reasons why this story may not be in local media. Some of them include:

    1. It didn't happen
    2. People get removed from casinos every day
    3. No one was injured
    4. No one cares
    5. Hearsay and can't be verified
    6. All of the above

Here's a story you didn't see in the media: our craps table players and dealers watched as Red Rock security took a blackjack player out of the casino after urinating in his seat. His excuse was it was a hot shoe and he didn't want to lose out on the money.

Number 3 don't work, Alan, the guy got a broken nose and was sent to the hospital. I just tweeted messages to the local news stations in Las Vegas. Let's see what happens.

I'm really curious to see what response you get from the local news stations. My prediction is "no response" because they won't care until an actual lawsuit is filed.

Please let us know IF an actual lawsuit is filed.

probably for the same reason they covered up a lot of details of the shooting. the media doesn't want their biggest advertisers/patrons looking bad.

Mickeycrimm did you send the name and contact info of the victim or of the victim's attorney to the media? Or what exactly did you tell the news stations?

I deleted my messages to the local news media because they went public. I'll try another avenue.

The woman in this story is reported to be the girlfriend of the guy that got beat up at Excalibur. And it is no doubt he was the other person using her card.

Dude that go beat up at Excalibur is reported to have won many cars in his gambling career so he obviously knows something about car drawings. Viejas in known for putting up expensive cars and making a big promotion but then they take the winner in the back and pressure them to take a small cash payment instead. They've been pulling that shit since the nineties.

I've removed a lot of garbage from this thread and dropped it in the Singer containment thread: https://vegascasinotalk.com/forum/sh...ll=1#post77258

Bill Yung and Rob Singer have also been banned from this thread.

Interesting. Up until now, I assumed the woman in that story was just a local who gave her card to a friend to help increase her chances to win.

Anyway, I think your theory about the ERT team doing the attacking is plausible.

Vegas casinos are notorious for being over-compartmentalized to where the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

This can be used to your advantage, but also sometimes comes with disadvantages to the customer, as well.

So, yeah, with this ERT in place to take down potential threats, as soon as they get word they need to remove someone, they probably go way too gung ho, not understanding that APs are not a safety threat.

With that said, getting 86'd from one property and then walking into another property of that same group is just darn foolish.

Makes you wonder if the whole Paddock shooting was done to give the casinos the excuse they needed to bring back the goon squads from the mob days in a new guise.
